Chapter 29Steve I scrambled up from the deflated air mattress and snatched up the beach towel that covered it, wrapping it around my waist. The woman on the other deck across the way was shooting an evil glare at me, full of contempt and disgust. She rushed back into her apartment, slammed the door shut, and even yanked her curtains all the way shut. “b***h!” I muttered under my breath. God, I was starting to sound more like Adam than me!
