Christmas eve and surprise

1983 Words
Dana’s point of view My weekly checks with Dr. Mitchell went well. We found out the gender right before Christmas. Jayden and I decided not to tell anyone. We would do a gender reveal after Christmas, with a small ceremony where we would get married. When I told Jordyn, Sami and Alyssa the day before Christmas eve, they were not happy about that. “Why aren’t you just getting married tomorrow? It’s Christmas and that is really romantic. I know my dad can do the service.” Jordyn said. I contemplated her words. "Jay, can you come to our room? I need to…” “On my way baby... What’s wrong? Is it the twins?” His panicked voice rang out in my mind. I giggled out loud, and as the girls asked what I laughed at, I just pointed to the door. A few seconds later Jayden flew through the door with Storm and Max hot on his heels. “Baby what’s wrong? Are you okay?” He rushed to me. “Would you stop fussing so much.” I giggled. “And you two should try and keep this one level headed.” I pointed at Storm and Max. “But Dana, it’s our future nephews I am worried about.” I scowled at Max’s answer. “Aaand their mamma of cause.” He said horridly. I rolled my eyes. “People, can I talk to my man in peace for a moment?” I asked the room. “NO!” Was the collective answer. Jayden snickered. “Okay, get out of my room!” He ushered everyone out, and closed the door. ‘Stop eavesdropping and go AWAY!’ I mind-linked them all. I could hear the disappointed voiced through the door, but this needed to be just us, if we wanted to keep the gender a secret for a little while still. “So, the girls suggested we get married tomorrow on Christmas eve and your dad can do the service.” I said casually. Jayden’s eyes widen. “Is that want you want baby? I will give you whatever you want, as long as you are going to be my wife.” I smiled, and pecked his lips. Ever since we found out about the twins, Jayden has been extra sweet and caring. Almost to a point where I want to kill him. “It sounds perfect. Then we can reveal the gender of the twins after the ceremony. Like a; “surprise its going to be.” Jayden smiled. “Maybe we can use this?” He asked, as he stood up from the chair. I followed him through the room with my eyes, not knowing what he was talking about. Jayden went into the walk-in, and came back out with a box. He walked to me, and handed me the box. Inside was two pictures of... “Ahh, I love it! Our wedding cake is going to be the reveal of the gender. Jayden you are the sweetest! When did you have this done?” Jayden shrugged, as to say ‘I’m not telling’. *** “Dana come on. You are going to be late, to your own wedding” Sami screams at me. I roll my eyes. “Will you calm down already. I’m not as fast anymore, so sue me! One day you will know how this feels.” I give her a snarky attitude, too which she just smiles. Which pisses me off more. Damn these hormones are all over the place today. “Haha no way. I am not getting pregnant anytime soon. Even though Benjamin has been pestering me about the topic lately. He seems to think; “the sooner, the better.” She giggles with an eye roll of her own. I come out of the walk-in, in my dress. All the girls reactions is perfect. I have a long, off white special sewed dress on. It fits perfectly around my swollen belly, showing of the twins. It’s an off shoulder, also showing some cleavage, more than I originally thought. But my boobs suddenly popped like swollen balloons. This also results in my mark, above my heart is showing more than I thought it would. But I like it. My make up is light, and my hair is braided into a half up do, showing off my mine mark on my neck. “Damn mamma, Jayden are going to be drooling when he sees you.” Sami says. “Uuh Dana, you look absolutely radiant!” Alyssa chimes in. The rest nods. I blush, which probably was their intention all along. “Okay, now we have a blushing bride. Let’s get this show on the road.” Ada laughs. “Come on sweetheart, we are ready for you, and Jayden is kind of getting more nervous by the second.” We walk down the stairs, where Storm was waiting for us. He was going to walk me down the isl, and give me to Jayden. My mom walked up to me, tears in her eyes and a tender smile on her lips. “You look so beautiful my sweet girl! I am very prod of the woman you’ve become, and I’m sorry for the hardships you’ve been through.” I hugged her close. “It’s okay mom. I love you.” I whisper in her ears. Her eyes go wide, and the tears are now streaming down her cheeks. “I love you too my angel!” She replies, before walking away to take her seat outside. Despite it being Christmas eve, we decided to have the ceremony outside. An intimate thing, only with the family and close friends. When we were officially crowned as King and Queen, we would be having another binding ceremony in front of both vampires, werewolves, feys and everything in between. My studies had taken me far and wide in history of our realm. I had learned of the different species, and their living. Which fraction they belong too, and if they could be a potential ally in the future. “You look stunning Dana! Jayden is lucky to have you.” Storm says, as he takes my arm. The tears are threatening to spill over, but I hold them back. I know they will spill over as soon as we are standing in front of each other, but right now I am fighting them! The music starts to sounds through the patio doors, and Storm tucks on my arm. “Come on little sister. This is us.” He says, his voice thick with emotion. We enter the garden, which has been transferred into a fairy wonderland. Everyone has done an amazing job, with only 24 hours notice. There are warmers everywhere, fairy lights and decorations in the trees and bushes. Everything is beautiful, and the feeling of love and intimacy fills the air. I walk with Storm, and the time seems to go by slowly. Suddenly I look up, and there he is! Jayden is standing in a dark blue tox, with an off-white bow-tie on. He looks absolutely ravishing, and then he smiles. Its like we are the only people present. I am so caught up in this moment, I don’t even feel when Storm gives my hand away to Jayden. We only have eyes for each other. Someone clears their throat, and people start laughing. Jayden and I look to his father, who smile wide at us. “I was asking; Jayden Xander Hamilton, will you marry Dana Sanders? Love her, care for her, stay by her side through sickness and health, until death and beyond?” “I will.” Jayden answers confidently. “Dana Sander, will you marry Jayden Xander Hamilton? Love him, care for him, stay by his side through sickness and heath, until death and beyond?” His father then asks me. “I will.” I say, and the twins kicks in my belly as to say “we will too” “By the power bestowed on me, I am binding your souls as one. You are now husband and wife – mates for all eternity.” He ends the ceremony and claps with everyone else. Jayden tucks me to him, and kiss me with abandon. I feel a new warmth flow inside me, and I know its our souls connecting to each other forever. “Ladies and gentlemen, I now have the honor of presenting Mr. Jayden and Mrs. Dana Hamilton for the first time. Supreme King and Queen of the vampire kind.” The group cheers and salutes. Both Jayden and I smile so hard it hurts, and the tears are flowing freely now. Everyone either has tears in their eyes or flowing down their cheeks. We move inside to eat the cake, before going to eat Christmas dinner. Yes, we are doing this backwards. “As you all can see, we have two wedding cakes. We decided to make this a gender reveal as well. So now Dana and I will cut a cake each, to show you what the genders are.” People gasps, and then the mothers starts to urge us along. They have been waiting, very impatiently, to know what we are having. Jayden cuts the first cake. “Annnnnd it’s a; BOY!” He smiles as the blue interior shows. The crowd goes nuts around us. “I knew it! I am having a nephew!” Max shout over everyone, and the joy is so strong. Now it is my turn, and as I cut into the cake everyone is silent again. “Annnd this is a; GIRL!” Groans and cheers can be heard. Money exchange hands and clearly people has been gambling on the genders of my children. “Congratulations Jayden and Dana! I am so, so happy for you!” Sami says, while Benjamin smiles. *** Everything is perfect. We have all our loved ones gather around us. But as we reveal the genders, and presences makes itself known. *Clap clap clap* People looks around for the sound. A dark figure comes out of the shadow. Jayden growls, a long with every male in the room. He grabs me and put be behind him. The woman’s eyes never leaves me and my tummy. She smiles a cold smile, one that never reaches her eyes. “Well, well, well. Little Queen, long time, no see.” She says with an evil cold voice. I tilt my head to the side. “Have we met before?” I ask bewildered. She cackles. “Oh yes little Queen. But you have never seen me before. But met we have.” She answers vaguely. “Those children, precious little angels, in there.” She points to my tummy. “They will be mine. Even if I have to take them myself. I will be the dark king and queen. Rulers of all evil.” She cackles again. Tears spring back in my eyes. She want my children?! NO! She will not have them. NEVER. “You will never get to my children. You will have to get through me then.” I answer fiercely. Jayden snarls. “Those children will never be evil. They will only know love and light. Whatever you want and whoever you are. You will not succeed!” He says protectively. “Oh, so the King and Queen of vampires don’t know who I am? That is surly disappointing.” The woman sneers. She seems so familiar, like I know here. But her name is not popping up in my memory. Where have I heard that voice, and felt that presence before? Before she can say anything else, and bright red and silver light emit. Ophelia and Selene stands before us, pissed off and scowling. “KERES! What are you doing here?” The shout together.
