Third person Point of view
“KERES! What are you doing here?” They shout together.
Keres cackles madly.
“Dear sisters. Its been all too long. How have you been?” Keres asks in a condescending tone. All three goddesses stare at each other, making the room feel immensely small. Their auras are at full blaze. Both Selene and Ophelia are pissed off, but Keres are waiting on something. Its almost like she hoped her sisters would turn up.
“This is very interesting indeed. What are your plans with the Hamilton family sister?” She asks with an eyebrow raised.
“That is none of your business. The real question is; what are you doing here? Why are you not in the mud hole you call home? And why are you threatening the Destiny Children?” Ophelia sneers. Selene’s eyes widen, Ophelia had revealed that Dana and Jayden’s children wasn’t ordinary. This could go very bad, very fast.
“Oh, so they are the children from the Secret Vision? That is very informing. Very informing indeed, yes. Well, now that you was so kind to tell me that sister, I will leave you be.” Keres shoots a look at Dana and her swollen tummy.
“Until next time little Queen. I will be seeing you again.” Keres smiles an evil smile, does a salute to her sisters and vanishes in a cloud of black light.
Dana keeps thinking, and then it hit her. She recently read about the goddess of dark. She is the fourth Sister of Creation. One of those who made the realm Dana and everyone else lives in. She has seen Keres before, when she still lived with Brandon and Corine. Even before her adopted mother died. Keres would stand in the distance, black eyes and a evil smirk on her lips. Observing but never anything else. It all made sense. She had known all along who Dana was, and Keres had kept an eye on her. A chill crept down Dana’s spine.
Selene and Ophelia lock eyes, and the truth of what just happened and what Ophelia had revealed dawned on them. Selene shakes her head. It seemed they had some things to explain to the people here – this had not been part of their plan, but the deed was done and now they had to do some damage control.
“Well, it seems we owe you an explanation – both of you.” Selene says to Dana and Jayden with a sigh. “You need to hear this too Benjamin and Sami, seeing this will involve your family too in the future.”
“Sister.” Ophelia says with a warning. She does not agree. They don’t have to explain anything, but Selene was irritatingly persistent in such matters. She would not leave them with a bunch of unanswered questions, just some. They could not tell them everything because the future was not set. They had seen different outcomes of future events, but nothing was certain. They only thing certain was the war was coming, and they needed these people to unite together with their other chosen ones.
“If you will come with us, we can talk in here.” Jayden answered with dark eyes. Ophelia could feel how he was trying to control his anger. He was afraid for his children and his wife. A goddess had just threatened to take them away. Not just any goddess; the demon goddess herself.
The little group went inside the conference room. Leaving Storm, Jordyn, Max and all their parents to themselves. They were utterly confused, but knew it couldn’t be good when three goddesses had shown so much interest. Especially when one of them was Keres. What was she up too? Why did she want Dana and Jayden’s children? Storm and Max were sure they would get some details but not all. There was only one thing to do; support their King and Queen no matter what. Both silently agreed, they would give their life to save Dana and Jayden’s children. They were important.
Dana’s Point of view
“Can’t we ever have a normal evening? Seriously, its Christmas eve! We just got married, revealed the gender of our children and suddenly some old hag wants my children for some evil purpose. I can’t believe this is happening. I just wanted a peaceful evening full of joy, love and presents. Is that too much?” My hormones are clearly not balanced at all and as soon as we are inside the room with a closed door the dam breaks. I start crying hysterically not even giving a damn that I am screaming at the Moon and Blood Moon goddesses.
“Dana, baby. Calm down, that is not good for the twins.” Jayden scolds silently. I give him an dark glare.
“Don’t you start! She was.. SHE WANTS MY CHILDREN AND YOU TELL ME TO CALM DOWN?” My temper rising by the second. Before I know it, Ophelia is at my side.
“Dana, please calm down. Jayden is right, this is not good for your children and they don’t need the extra stress.” I felt a bit ashamed, and walk to Jayden.
“Sorry.” I mumbled, but Jayden shook his head.
“No need baby. You are worried about the babies. I understand.” He answered.
“So, Selene you said something about answers?” I asked the goddess. She sighed and looked to Ophelia. We all sat down, both me and Sami on the laps of our mates.
“So, Keres is our sister. We have another sister – Monica the Wicca Goddess. She is not here, because she needs to keep an eye on some unforeseen developments else where.” Selene started.
“All four of us has the gift of foresight, regarding our own children. When everything was still young and new we worked together, all four of us. We looked to the future together and got a much more precise pictures of future events. Things ran in harmony, and we all guided our children to the best of our ability. But, things didn’t work like that forever. We, Ophelia, Monica and I, found out that Keres started to alter her visions. She wanted more power to her children, and she tipped the balance towards the darkness.” Selene took a deep breath. And Ophelia, who had been silent so far continued.
“A war ensued. Many was killed on both sides, and Keres swore revenge on all of us. She was in a fit of rage, because her children of the dark was defeated. We all worked together; witches, feys, vampires and werewolves. We lost many good people, and some started to resent the other species. In all fractions there are what we call elitists, people who think they should lead all, or people who thinks that they are superior. That’s balance. There are good in the dark and dark in the good.” Ophelia ended with some cryptic words.
“And what does all this have to do with my children?” I asked.
“Well, when the war ended a demon seer foresaw something. She came to me, Monica and Ophelia, because she was a firm believer in balance. She had, had two visions. One of a young girl. A girl descendant from the Witch Queen and a high ranking werewolf. She would be the bridge between fractions, a true leader and a true Queen. She would be pure, but would go through many hardships. Her witch abilities would be greater than any Witch Queens before, and her wolf would be the fist true Luna of them all. Everything in her would be harmony, unless she falls for the dark. Then she would become then greatest dark Queen ever seen. Her powers were unmatched, and the Star wolves would fall to the dark side of balance.” Selene started her tale.
“You are talking about Luna Abigail of Silver Mist? Aren’t you?” Benjamin asked in shock. “And the Star wolves? That regards my Sami and her wolf Polaris?” Benjamin’s voice was an octave below full-blown panic. Sami cooed him and made small circles on his arms.
The goddesses looked slightly irritated, but both nodded.
“Yes, we are talking about Abigail Stone-Goldmoon but how do you know her?” Ophelia asked annoyed with this development. Benjamin blushed under the heated gaze of the goddess.
“I am good friends with Alpha Matthew. He actually called a meeting between the packs near him. Something about things changing, and we needed to know. I haven’t told him about Sami’s wolf yet but maybe I should.” The last part more to himself than anyone else.
“Yes, well, at least you know about Abby. It is essential you all work together and embrace the changes.” Ophelia said in a stern voice. Benjamin looked affronted at being told what to do like a little boy, but nodded none the less.
“Yes, yes, this is all very nice and all, but what does this have to do with Dana and my children?” Jayden spoke up, irritation lacing his voice. I looked at everyone. Again, we had so much information to swallow. Would we ever have a normal day or evening? I wasn’t sure anymore. We were under the watch of the goddesses, and what that means; I am not sure.
“We are getting to that, you impatient boy.” Ophelia scowls but Jayden crosses his arms around me and scowls right back. I have to hold in a giggle. He is very serious about protecting me and our children, even from someone we can do much about.
Selene laughs. “Okay, okay. The second prophecy was about two children, born of the Queen and King of two worlds. They will be sealed to the fate of all fractions, future leaders and royalty. The Destiny Children – both fated to someone strong and both will be unique and powerful. But be aware; evil forces seek these children for their own gain. They will want their powers and fates for a future in pure darkness. Neither child will rise if one of them falls.”
I close my eyes. Well, happy Christmas Dana. Your children are in mortal danger, and all our futures depend on them. Gosh. No pressure at all.
