Babies and war cry

2120 Words
Third person Point of view As Dana shouted, Jayden froze. He just stood there and stared at his wife. They couldn’t come now? It was too early, or was it? He couldn’t remember a single thing he had read during the pregnancy. Suddenly Jordyn rushed in the living room, went straight for her brother and slapped him hard in the face! “This is not the f*****g time to freeze Jayden. You are a king for goodness’ sake.” She rolled her eyes, turned and went to Dana’s side. “If this didn’t hurt so damn much, I would be laughing my ass off.” Dana managed to say between contractions. She looked up when Jayden finally sprang into action. He went to the couch, cooped up his wife and made a beeline towards the front door. They were met with Storm who had grabbed the baby bags and Jayden nodded in approval. They got Dana situated in the car and Jayden started driving. “Storm and Jordyn are going to call ahead. I’m so sorry baby! I should…” He was interrupted by Dana, who shook her head. “You don’t have to apologies. But if you touch me ever again Jayden Xander Hamilton, I WILL STRANGLE YOU!” She yells the last part, as a contraction rolls in again. Jayden nods, pale as a sheet and concentrate in the road. He knows he can’t do anything to help with the pain, but he can get her safely to the hospital. This was going to be a long night. *** “You need to push, your highness!” The midwife says. “I AM PUSHING!” Dana yells in response. They have been at the hospital for 8 hours and Jayden has been at Dana’s side taking care of her all the way through labor. Even though she has threatened him more than once to cut of his balls or move out of the bedroom for ever, called him every name in the book and cried because she felt bad, Jayden stayed. He knew it was the pain talking and every time she cried, he would just hold her, kiss her temple and tell her everything okay and they were going to be alright. “I can see a head. Breath through the next contraction and only push when I tell you, your highness.” The midwife says, and Dana does just that. A few minutes later the room is filled with little cries. “Congratulation my King and Queen, it’s a girl.” The midwife announces, before their girls’ umbilical cord is cut, and she is handed to a nurse to be cleaned off. Then she is placed on Dana, until the contractions start again. Jayden takes the little angel, places her in one arm and takes his wife’s hand with the other. The little girl settles with her father, and looks up with big blue/green eyes. “Get. This. Baby. Out. NOW!” Dana says between clenched teeth. Her body is creaming for a break, aching from the continued contractions and she is not sure she has the power to push the next child out. “The baby is crowning. You need one good push and the breath like last time. You can do this, your highness!” The midwife encourages. Dana gathers her last energy and pushes! A moment later the room is filled with cries again. “Congratulations my King and Queen, this little one is a boy.” The midwife says with a soft smile. Dana lays her head on the pillows, tired and so filled with love. Her babies are finally here. She is a mother, a wife and a Queen. She almost can’t believe how life has turned out. Dana’s point of view Our boy is finally in my arms, while our girl is with her daddy. Our little angles. Never have I felt more complete, than being her with my husband and our children. The door opens and in walks our family. “Where are my little god children?” Jordyn asks excited, jumping up and down not even trying to contain her happiness. She bounces over to Jayden, and then makes a cooing sound towards the little one in his arms. “May I?” She asks and reaches her arms out. Jayden looks to me and I nod. Its her god children, and of course she needs to hold them. Jayden places our girl in her arms, and I see the tears in her eyes. Jayden mom walks over to me, watching her grand baby in my arms, and I automatically place him in her arms. She looks so proud and when Jayden sits on the bed with me, my heart is overflowing with love and happiness. “What are you going to call these little angles?” Jordyn asks in a hush voice, as to not disturb the little ones. “You are holding little Danica and Ada is holding little Jace.” I answer with a smile. Ada looks down, taking in the name and cooing to her grandson. “Danica Monique Hamilton and Jace Xander Hamilton.” Jayden supplies. The room is filled with sounds of approval, while both Jordyn and Ada seems to be lost in a baby each. “She is so little and fragile.” Jordyn says, eyes on the girl in her hands, a soft smile on her lips. “But she is also very strong. I can feel their auras and they feel very powerful.” She adds. The children are given back to me when they start to fuss a bit. The midwife comes back inside, and ushers our guests out. “The Queen is about to breastfeed her children, and she does not need an audience to do so.” She says very sternly to the sulking crowd. Especially Jordyn is not happy about leaving us, but I promise her she can come back when the babies are fed. Jayden sits in a chair beside the bed, ready to help me if necessary. He really has been a sweetheart through all of this. Just taking all my s**t, and never holding anything against me. But one thing still stands; he is not touching me anytime soon in an intimate matter! Hell no. This s**t hurts like a b***h. Jayden chuckles, clearly picking up on my mood. “Baby, you need to recover before we can be intimate. And if you really don’t want anymore children, then we’ll figure that out.” He takes my hand in his, and kisses my knuckles. “I’m sorry for all the things I said during labor. I... I didn’t mean it like that, it just hurt so much... But; I am sure, I don’t want any more children anytime soon.” I say while looking down on the babies feeding. Jayden squeezes my hand. “Then we will make sure we can be intimate safe.” He assures me. We lock eyes and the love he holds there makes my heart flutter. How did I get so lucky? *** A week later We have been home for a few days. The hospital wanted to keep us and make sure the babies were alright. It has been equally wonderful and hard to have the babies with us. They are sweet, cute and very on sync with each other regarding feeding and napping. But they have made it a habit to be up at least three times during the night. The lack of sleep, for both me and Jayden has been showing, and everyone has been sweet to help out. Storm and Max runs the companies, the vampires around the realm and only asks Jayden questions if it’s an emergency or they need his signature. We were sitting in our room, taking a small nap break when the phone rang. “Hello?” “Dana, it’s Sami. I need to talk to you. It’s urgent.” “What’s wrong? Are you and Benjamin alright?” “Yes, we are fine. But I need you and Jayden to agree to a meeting with some people. It’s kind of hard to explain over the phone, but the demons are looking to start a war.” The air is pushed out of me. A war? Why? Jayden is at my side at once, when my mood changes. “Baby talk to me, what is going on. Who is on that phone?” Instead of answering him, I take the phone from my ear and put it on speaker. “Who is this? Why is my wife pale as a ghost right now?” Jayden asks angrily. “Jayden, it’s Sami. We need to meet ASAP! And I need to introduce you to some people. The demons have heard of the birth of your children, and they are preparing to go to war.” Sami repeats. Jayden tightened his hold on me. “Why would they want to go to war now?” He asks the question that keeps swirling in my mind. “Because they want to kill your son and make your daughter the Queen of the demons.” She answers, and my blood runs cold. “They. Are. Not. Touching. My. Children!” I get out through gritted teeth. “I am not letting them get anywhere near my niece and nephew, but we need a plan and allies to fight them.” Sami answers in a calm voice. “Wait, how do you know the demons are going to war?” Jayden suddenly asks. There is a small pause, some rummaging and then Benjamin’s voice is heard. “Dana, Jayden. We have allies here, another wolf pack. Their Luna was kidn*pped by Keres and we got the impression she was up to something, so we send out some feelers. Demons who just want to live their life as it is, has gotten back to us. Haborym and his son Samnu has allied themselves with the Black Moon pack, seeing as their Alpha has an issue with the Alpha and Luna of Silver Mist pack.” Benjamin explains. This all sounds crazy but I know he is telling the truth. “And who is it you want us to meet with?” I ask, a little afraid of knowing the answer. “The Alpha's and Luna’s of Silver mist and White Moon, the coven leaders of the witches and some of the friendly demon who have been helping us. Beside a spy we have in a coven of evil witches, who we have word has also allied themselves with Haborym.” Sami says. Jayden and I look to each other. “We need time to prepare for such a large gathering..” Jayden starts, but Sami interrupts. “There is no need. Alpha Matthew and Luna Abigail has offered you to come to their home, with the kids, Jordyn, Ada and everyone else you might want to come with you. I will be there along with Benjamin and our Beta. I promise, you and your children will be safe here.” I turn and look to Jayden. We both know this has to happen, but neither of us like it. Especially with the kids being so small. “We will set the meeting to happen in two weeks. We need to get settled properly with the children, and I need to convince Dana to stay at home..” “That is definitely not happening. Sami tell them we will be there in three weeks. We are taking Storm, Jordyn, Aron and Alyssa. Max and the parents are staying here to keep thing under wraps while we are away. We need them to set up a room for the children, preferably connected to our room.” I interrupt my husband with narrow eyes. Like hell I am staying home when some demon scum is after my children. “I will give the info to them. And I am looking forward to seeing you all again, its been to long and I need to see those babies IRL instead of pictures.” Sami chuckles. “Oh, and Jayden? Don’t even try to convince Dana to not come along, I want you here in one piece, please.” She says with a laugh before she hangs up. Jayden pouts. “I really just want you to stay here with Danica and Jace.” He says, still pouting. “And that is not happening. Period.” I say just as one of the twins starts crying. “We are all going, and that is final Mr. Hamilton” I say as I peck his lips, before going to the nursery.
