Benjamin’s Point of view

I can't believe I got a second chance mate. And she was a vampire as well, what was the moon goddess's plan here? Why was she adamant on me having a vampire mate? Well, it didn't really matter anyway because she was beautiful and seemed so confident. I looked at Sami and have her a small smile. I didn't really want to be rejected again, and since I already declared to accepting her, all I needed was for her to accept me back. She gave me a shy smile back, but her eyes held uncertainty. It broke my heart, and my wolf Odin paced nervously around in my head. He was a wreck, and just wanted to mark the lovely beauty at our side, but I kept reminding him we could risk her hating us the rest of our life. Even though she would be bound to us, she would probably recent us, and I couldn't bear that. 

I had been in a downwards spiral since Clarissa rejected me, and everyone except my family was afraid of me. I had let my feral side take over and been a mean alpha to my pack. Something I regretted today, and every day before that but I couldn't help it. "So, are we just going to sit around, or are we going to get some answers? Because I will not just send my sister with some wolf boy, and be happy..." The one named Storm said with contempt. I couldn't help my chuckle. He was a typical brother, and I would not fault him for that. "Yes, we are. Benjamin, please tell us about yourself. Where are you from, and what happened with Clarissa?" I sighed. "It kind of a long story?" 

"Well, we are not going anywhere, before I am certain my sister is in good hands." Both Storm and queen Dana said. I nodded.

"I am the alpha of the white mountain pack, about an hour from here?! I was made alpha on my 18th birthday 2 years ago and have been ruling my pack alone. It has been hard, and the longing for my mate increasing as time went by. My wolf Odin is a typical alpha, and he pines for his mate and Luna to rule by our side. When I was made aware of an intruder 6 months ago, I was not prepared for her to my mate or a vampire. The girl was Clarissa and she told me she had felt more and more compelled to come here. I was so happy to finally meet my mate and was expecting her to feel the same way. But just then she rejected me. She told me, she didn't want a... A mutt like me, when she was the high king to be' chosen mate." I took a deep breath, it still hurt to think about the day my world collapsed. "She broke my heart, stomped on it and walked away like nothing had happened. While I laid on the ground and cried my heart out, I could hear her laughter and how she called my pathetic." I had started shaking. The memories swirled through my head, and I felt the tears coming to my eyes. A small hand grabbed mine, and when I looked down it was Sami. She gave it a squish, and a small smile, "my world went dark. Really dark. I became someone I never want to be again. A dark and cruel version of myself. It was when my sister came back, guilty about finding her mate and worrying how I would handle it, it became clear to me how cruel and twisted I was. I am not proud of myself, and I will work the rest of my life to make it up to my pack. I planned to come here and confront the man who stole my happiness. Instead, I find my second chance, who is everything and more I ever wished for. Beautiful, confident and caring. At least that is the impression I've got so far." I looked to Sami, who blushed a deep red and cast her eyes down. "So, what about Clarissa? Do you still want her?" Storm asked, "hell no! She can't hold a candle to my Sami here."

"She is not...." "Storm, that is enough." A small, but clear voice rang out. Storm looked affronted but didn't finish his sentence. "I am the one who decides if I belong to alpha black or not." Sami looked up at me, "it’s just Benjamin or Ben or whatever you want baby. But never alpha Black. You are my equal." She nodded. "What if Clarissa comes back and want to be your mate now? Jayden said she escaped right after we went to get Dana back, so it would be possible she will try and seek refuge in your pack." Sami looked so vulnerable as she asked this, and my heart broke again. "Like I said before, she can't hold a candle to you my gorgeous Luna. If she comes, I will kill her on the spot! She is not welcome, and definitely not after lying and scheming." Sami nodded. She looked around the room to her family. "Alpha Black, if I may?" King Jayden asked, "yes of cause your highness." I answered politely. "It is just Jayden. I think I speak for everyone, but please just use our names. We are family here, and if Sami accepts you, you are going to be family." He smiled, and everyone else nodded - Storm more reluctant than the rest. "My question for you is how will your pack react to a non-wolf Luna? Sami is precious to all of us, and especially my best friend, well one of them, and my queen." He sent Storm a crooked smile, which he returned with a eye roll. To which the girls giggled. "My pack will be thrilled to have a Luna! I am close with the silver mist pack, and I know alpha Matthew has just found his mate as well. She is half wolf and half witch. Neither of our packs are elitist, and we will demand respect towards our Luna's... People who can't accept my mate may leave as they please." I answered with a shrug. I knew my sister wanted to live with us as well, and she was mated to a wizard. "The world is changing, and our realm is not going to avoid that change. I will protect my mate with my life, should it ever come to that!" Everyone nodded. "This is up to you Sami! Just remember we will always be your family, and always support your choice." Storm said softly. "I accept Benjamin and Odin as my mates. But I am concerned. What about Odin? I don't have a wolf?" She was so sweet to think of my wolf like that. "He is alright. As long as you accept us both, and don't mind him coming out from time to time." I winked at her, and she blushed again. She was so adorable. 

Dana's Point of view

My family was growing, and in a way getting smaller at the same time. I was sad to see Sami move, but so happy to see her have her mate. "AAAAAAAH!" A loud squeal sounded through the room, and a blur or hair rushed past me and into Benjamin's arms. "When did you get here? And why, and how... And..." "Okay, okay, little bunny. I am here because I wanted to fight Jayden, and why... Well, I thought Clarissa was his mate and he stole her." Alyssa scoffed loudly. "And now I have found my second chance, who has accepted me and Odin." Benjamin smiled down at Sami, and Alyssa squealed again! "Iiiiiih you are my oddball brothers second chance... I don't envy you; he is a handful." She laughed and stuck her tongue out at Benjamin. Aron came in the living room smiling at his mate. Looks like thing were turning better between them. "Now, now Lyssa. He is your brother, even if you are right about the oddball part." Aron laughed. Benjamin gave him a scowl and put an arm protectively around Sami. "How are you calling an oddball?! As far as I remember, it was you who..." "Ohhh whoa there big bad wolfie... We don't need to talk about old days right now. So, you've finally found your mate? Congratulation’s man." Aron high-fived Benjamin and then place an arm around Alyssa. "Uhm did I miss something? How do you two know each other?" 

"Yeah, I'd like to know that as well." Max chimed in. The rest look on in interest. "Well, wolf boy over here needed someone to whoop his ass in training, and I am good friends with his father. Besides, this was in between my lessons with you Dana, as I tried to become more informed about the realm again." Aron replied. "Well okay then." Jayden said, "I think we should let the newly mated, or not actually mated yet..." " La la la... That is my sister there... La la la..." Storm interrupted. "Hahaha... I mean Sami and Benjamin why don't you go and get better acquainted. Then tomorrow we will talk about when Sami is moving and get the details about Clarissa's wanted post in the clear." He looked to me, "right now I need some time with my woman. It is long overdue..." He gave me a sexy smile, and I giggled. The room nodded in agreement. We stood up, but when we reached the hall, Jayden swung me over his shoulder and ran to our room... I giggled all the way there. Someone had missed me, and I had missed him just as much... 

When we reached our room, I could hear Sami laughing along with a male voice most definitely belonging to Benjamin. I smirked. They were already great together! Jayden looked at me like a prey and stalked towards me. "I have missed you so much baby." He said in a husky voice. I giggled. I had something else planned for him, and if I was to manage that, I needed to stop him. I used my powers and rooted Jayden to the spot. His eyes widen. "Baby, what the heck? What are you doing?" I laughed and ran to the bathroom. "Nah uh, you are not touching me before I had a bath." Jayden pouted. "But baby, I want to come..." "Oh no... This shower and I have a date, and that is a single one." I laughed at the face he made, and then shut the door. I let him go, just as I locked the door. "Awe Dana... Baby that is not fair at all... Using your powers on your mate and king." I giggled... "Just wait until later, then I'll show you what I can do with my powers." My voice was seductive, and by his groan it was working. "Just please hurry, I need you!" Jayden said, and then walked away from the door.  

I knew we would not sleep at all tonight. Both of us needed to be close, and love making was definitely in the air... I felt giddy all over, and knew Jayden felt the same way... I wonder how Sami was doing. Well, I would know tomorrow. If she turned up unmarked, I would be seriously surprised.
