Chapter 18 Claire and Alpha Michael

Claire

400 Guards were down.

It was so hurting seeing guards laying on the ground,The man who had to provide for their family,The man who left their family at home to come be guards for us.

How can I have a mom like that?How does she sleep at night?how can she carry on the next day knowing she killed someone?.

I thought when time goes by me and my mother would mend and fix our relationship as mother and daughter but after this,I don't see that happening ever.

Michael was so heart broken,he just stood there,tears rolling down his cheeks,I didn't know how to comfort him because everytime when I went near him,he would stop me.

I was kind of sad because I felt all his emotions,He was sad, heart broken,angry and helpless.He sat at his office the whole night,He didn't come to bed last night.

It was the morning us and the whole pack was busy.women was cleaning the blood while men was burning the bodies of the guards.

It was the sad day at the pack,the mates of the guards were crying so hard and the kids kept on asking what was happening,some asked where are their dads.

Some of the families blamed Alpha Michael saying if he wasn't always looking me in the eyes none of this would have happened.

Some of the families understood the situation and told me that Alpha mustn't blame himself for this,he didn't know it would happen.

And the left one's said that they are waiting for Alpha Michael to show up,they don't feel safe anymore in this pack they want to leave and look for other new packs for their safety.

We were done after few hours,I was so happy that even my dad and stepmom was here to give a hand.They were supporting me and helping me where I couldn't because Michael was still in his office and didn't want to talk to anyone.

After refreshing,I decided to go and talk to Michael liking it or not.

I went downstairs and knocked at his office.It was silent.

I decided to open the door,he was sitting in the couch holding a glass of whiskey in his hand.I got in and sat next to him.

I held his other hand and said " Love,I know you are in a lot of pain,you are blaming yourself of all the dead guards but it is no way to carry on drinking and hiding yourself."

He kept on looking straight at the wall and I continued

"Yes some pack members blame you, some want to leave and some understand and cry with you but you just can't keep on going like this,You are their leader,you were the chosen one,Moon Goddess believed you are a good leader so please stop putting yourself down."

Tears were pouring down his cheeks and he started crying hard,I quickly sat on his lap and hugged him tightly,it was the first time seeing him like this and I cried too.

After minutes crying while we are still hugging he said"I'm afraid Claire,I lost my guards,my pack blames me and I'm afraid of losing you too Claire."

he broke the hug and looked at me and continued

"When I saw those bodies yesterday,I remembered how the rogues killed my parents,blood was all over just like yesterday,Today my pack blames me and the worst part is when Ruth keeps coming like this to us,we are all going to die one by one."

he stopped for a second and continued

"I'm powerless when it come to witches,I was only taught about killing wolves and vampires." He concluded.

"The Moon Goddess chose me to be your witch mate for a reason love,I learned how to use my powers,The problem was me being afraid using them at my mom but now she went too far and I'm going to put a stop to this."

I said it wipping his tears away and gave him a quick kiss on the lips.

"Tomorrow I'm going to need all the support and put the protection barrier around the pack and use my magic against it to alert me when Ruth is near our pack but today I need you to go and refresh and we need to do a pack meeting and explain everything to them."

Even if my mom is a evil person I want to thank her for teaching me both dark and light magic for 13 years,doing protection barrier won't be a problem for me.

He nodded and said "Baby girl I'm the luckiest man alive to find a mate like you,I thank the Moon Goddess for choosing you to be my mate." He caressed my face and said

"Alright I will go and freshen up and we will meet in a bit okay." I smiled widely while nodding.

He gave me a quick kiss and went out.

Alpha Michael

Since yesterday I was not in the mood, yesterday when I saw that blood it took me back to the memories of my parents.

Blood Blood Blood Blood Blood Blood it was all I remembered.

Having a mate like Claire was a blessing,I would've still be in my office drinking my sorrows away but she came to me, spoke to me and gave me hope.

I was done refreshing and ready to face my pack.

We went outside

Me, Claire, Nadia, Italia, David, Jayden, Alpha John and Laura was standing Infront of a whole pack.

"Good afternoon everyone,I'm sorry to disappoint you on the day you needed most, yesterday when I saw blood, memories of my parents being killed came and tortured me again.

I looked around and continued

"My mistake and blessing was Ruth, Mistake was bring her to the pack to come and ruin it and blessing was in the end even if she fooled me she gave birth to my beautiful mate."

The pack clapped their hands and whistling and held my hand up.

"So my pack members I know I can't bring back your loved ones but all I could say I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart.It is not easy for me seeing my pack members sad and in pain."

Pack was silent.

"So from today,I'm going to make sure that Ruth doesn't do that again to my pack members and I will always stay focused until we kill her." I concluded

The pack was happy to hear me say those words,those who blamed me came to apologize and those who wanted to go said they were afraid that Ruth will come for them so they also apologized for not trusting me.

I couldn't blame anyone or punish anyone because I was the first coward to run away when the problem raised.

So after we departed,We went in sitting room and sat.

I started "My family I'm so sorry for being a coward,I didn't mean to leave you with my pack when they needed me the most."

They all nodded and Italia said "Uncle Michael I think we all understand why you went cold,what you went through it will still pain you because it was your parents."

We nodded

"Thank you Italia for your kind words." I smiled at her.

gamma David "We all got you and understood" He winked at me and I chuckled.

beta Jayden"Michael don't even explain yourself man" He winked too

We all laughed.

Alpha John said"Alpha Michael,We still stand with our word me and my mate,We won't go until that b***h is being killed,this time was our time to get to know each other but Ruth always stand on the way so plan has to be made."

We all clapped for Alpha John,he was cheering us up and what he was saying it is true.

Ruth is ruining the time we have to spend together as a family and enjoy.

But I promise myself that from now on,Ruth is going to die by my own hands.
