Chapter 19 Claire

Claire

Everything went well in the pack meeting and The pack members were relieved and happy when they saw their Alpha.

Now I'm in my office trying a lot to learn about my duties as a Luna of the pack while I was reading a book I receive a text message notification.

I fish out my phone and see who is texting me it is unknown number,I unlocked my phone and see a message.

Unknown

"Claire I know I'm a last person you want to hear from but can we meet somewhere I have something to tell me." unknown texted

"And who are you?"

"It is me Ares,it is important please,after hearing me out then you will decide your final answer." unknown texted

"Where did you get my numbers,are you stalking me Ares? and what will Italia think about this?"

"Trust me it is about Alpha Michael pack safety and Italia."unknown texted

"Okay fine,We will meet at the mall where is public after 1 hour and if you say one thing I don't like I'm out,got that?"

"Done." Ares replied

I didn't have a choice when it came to the pack safety and Italia.I quickly took my handbag and rushed to Michael's office,I Knocked before getting in.

I told him that I wanted something at the mall,he asked me should he go with me I said no it is not necessary,He agreed even if he was suspicious.

I got to the mall after fifty-five minutes and I texted Ares,He told me he was sitting under a large tree next to the car packing,I immediately went there and saw him.

I sat next to him and said "It better be good Ares because I'm still mad at you."

He let out a small chuckle and said "First of all Claire,I know what I did to Italia was not right and I'm trying to correct my mistakes."

"And how is so Ares?" crossing my hands in my chest

"When I first saw Italia,I wasn't ready for a mate,I always believed mates weaken another mate,so I dated Jane so I can't be pulled by Italia's scent, I know you won't believe me but I regret not taking Italia and chose Jane." He said

You could see sadness in his eyes but I couldn't just believe him yet.

He continued "I thought when Jane saw how I loved her,it would change how she feels and love me back but I was wrong Claire,She won't ever love me back."

He had teary eyes while saying that,I was about to speak but he stopped me.

"Claire if I could change the situation,I wouldn't have done that to Italia,but now that she will be in danger the least I could do is give you the information I have with me." He said.

I began to be nervous,what information could it be?,must I trust his words? but I saw in his eyes that he was sincere.

"Okay Ares please lighten me." I said

He looked into my eyes and said

"Jane and Ruth are planning destroy Alpha Michael pack and the pack members, First they killed the guards to give you a warning that the war is far from over and now they are planning to destroy everything in the pack."

I was shocked but why did he tell me all this when he is with them?

"And why should I believe you?,Do you remember you still with Jane?"

"Yes I'm still with her Claire but Italia is my mate and I will do everything to protect her and I just told you I regret dating Jane because I didn't know she was this evil like Ruth."

I was so surprised and he continued

"Ruth and Jane are the same,Ruth can destroy for power and Jane can destroy for love,Jane is so obsessed with Alpha Michael that she want me to kill you,Image if she find out that I still think of Italia every passing day,she could kill her."

Astonished and pale was written in my face.

Jane want to kill me just for Michael,I knew she was obsessed with Michael but to want to kill me is another story.

And Ares was also right if she found out that Italia is also her threat,I don't doubt she would think twice killing Italia too.

Ares took me out in my thoughts when he said"You see what I'm talking about,I wanted you to know that so you could warn Alpha Michael about the situation."

I left in a rush to meet Ares and I left there before I could do a protection barrier.What if Ruth comes before I go back to the pack?

I have to go with Ares to the pack,I don't know how Italia and everyone is going to react but I have to do this.

"I left a pack in a hurry what if they go there while I'm not around? and please Ares if what you really say about Italia is true please come with me to my pack."

His face turned pale and said

"I'm sorry to disappoint you Claire, Alpha Michael or Italia's dad could kill me seeing me there,I just wanted to give you the information but going to the pack it would be like signing my own death."

He was right,but I still tried convincing him.

"I know but I will announce us when we get to the gate and tell them you have important message for all of us,If it is not for me just do it for Italia."

His lighten up when I mentioned Italia.

"Okay but if I get killed then Claire,I will be happy knowing I helped Italia."

I smiled at his respond.I know he did something stupid and irrational but I think he meant every word.

We got into my car and went to my pack.

I called Michael and explained everything to him,he was so angry with me saying I'm putting myself in danger,he could've came with me.

After few minutes he said that he spoke with Jayden and Italia so Ares is welcome to come in.

We got into the house,Ares was sweating and had shaking hands.

Nadia, Jayden, David, Italia, Laura and Alpha John was in the sitting room.

Ares greeted nervously but they respond was awkward,I asked him to sit beside me and Michael so conflict mustn't raise.

I told them everything that Ares said to me, Jayden and Nadia was still pissed with him but because Ruth was our main problem they kept calm.

"Ares you know if you are telling us a lie or they send you,You are going to wish you never born my boy,I will kill you softly, taking out every piece of your parts one by one." Michael said that in a promising and stern tone.

Ares nodded his head and said "Ruth said that she will always watch my every move so I don't know if she is following me around now or what but Alpha Michael I'm sorry to say this."

He looked at Italia and continued

"Italia what I did is unforgettable and I know you won't forgive me but All of this I did it for you,If I had to change what I did to you I would now,I feel like it will be my last time seeing you today because I'm sure Ruth know I'm in the pack because she always doubted me."

He said that tears running in his cheeks.

Italia ran to him and gave him a huge hug and he continued"Please forgive me for choosing Jane then you please Italia."

He begged Italia, everyone just sat there staring at them.After breaking the hug Italia looked him in the eyes and said

"What you did to me Ares hurt me a lot,you made me question my worth,you made me doubt myself and not believe in mates again,When I was young I always dreamed about how my mate will be like,How we will share our story together."

Tears were like a river in both their eyes and I m sure how emotional I felt, everyone felt like that too.

"But I forgive you Ares."

They were both sobbing.I hope if Ares is true to his words,they would mend again.
