Chapter 1: The Crash
Amna ran down the street, clutching her crumpled resume. She was already 10 minutes late for the most important interview of her life. The rickshaw was moving slower than a snail.
"Chacha please, thoda tez chalao," she pleaded, her heart pounding.
Right then disaster struck. A shiny black BMW sped through a puddle and splashed dirty, muddy water all over her only good white kameez.
Amna stopped in her tracks, shocked and angry. "Are you blind or what?!" she shouted at the car.
The tinted window rolled down slowly. A tall man in an expensive suit looked out. He had cold eyes and an arrogant expression. This was Arham Khan.
"Watch where you're walking," he said in a bored tone.
Amna couldn't believe his rudeness. "Watch where you're driving! You just ruined my interview and my clothes!"
Arham gave a small smirk. "Then you should have left your house earlier. Not my problem."
Without waiting for her reply, he rolled up the window and drove away.
The next morning, Amna walked into her new office building, still nervous but determined.
The HR lady greeted her with a smile. "Welcome! Let me introduce you to your team lead, Mr. Arham Khan."
Amna looked up and froze.
Standing there was the same arrogant man from yesterday.
Arham raised an eyebrow when he saw her. "Well, well. Fancy meeting you here."
Amna's stomach dropped. This job was going to be a nightmare.
