Chapter 3

Gwen It was already midnight and I was inside my room wide awake. I was in no mood to sleep and that is why I decided to go down after living in my room for more than 10 hours. I quietly came downstairs and was in front of the door and was ready to go outside when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I didn’t really pay attention to it until I realized that it was not the best time to get a tap on your shoulder. This thought made me freeze for a moment and then, with some courage, I looked back and got scared and jumped a little, which was followed by a bit of a shrill voice as well. "You have scared me, Tsetan." I said and looked at him. "I have scared you?" He pointed towards him and I looked at his finger and then at him and then nodded." How ironic, in fact you have scared me." His voice was loud, which made me scared and I quickly put my palm on his mouth. I looked here and there and then looked at him. I put the finger on my lips to indicate to him that he had to keep quiet and he nodded and I removed my hand. "Finally, I could breathe after controlling it for a long time." "Shh...." And he immediately put his palm on his mouth. "I assume that even if you want to keep your voice low, you can't as you are always loud." I said while my hands were crossed over the chest and he removed his palm and nodded. "Where are you going?" he tried to say in a low voice, but failed and a small giggle escaped my mouth. But when I looked at him again, I could see that he was hoping to get an answer, which made me a bit nervous. "I….I am going to walk around as I am not feeling sleepy." "Well, let's go outside together as I am also unable to fall asleep." I nodded and I silently opened the door and went out and he followed me. I closed the door behind me and then we traveled further. "Ahh....I am feeling so much better." I said in quite a loud voice. "Don’t you want to keep your voice low?" I shook my head. "You know what, I love this night because, sometimes when others sleep I can look for myself and gather what I like and what I want to do." "Well, that is interesting. You are the first girl who is looking for herself in the dark." I smiled a little. "I have to search for myself in the dark only because I am lost in that dark and the light which was in my life has left me alone in this world." This made me sad because I didn't want to remember them who had left me and would never come back. "Well... there is something I want to tell you." I looked at him. "Sure, what is it?" "Well, I didn't really bother to listen to your mother's words until she said that I should stay away from you as you are an omen and Leandro died because of you when I knew that he was killed." I let out a dry chuckle. "She is not my mother, she is my paternal aunt and I think you should consider her opinion." "Why?” "I have already told you." "Because you think that you are a curse." I nodded and he laughed. "Gwen, I am sorry about that, but I really feel as if you are going around nonsense. There is no one who is cursed. Everything happens for a reason." "But you know what, when I was born my mother left me and when I was about eight or ten my father left me and I also had a samoyed but mysteriously, it also went somewhere, leaving me all alone. I think whatever I like and the person whom I love never really has a fate to stand by my side for long and when this case started to occur more with me than many people started to call me, I am cursed and I was born when it was demon night. You are saying this is all nonsense, but a person who has heard this nonsense all along their childhood, how could you tell her not to believe in them? Literally, from that time, my ears were filled by these words only. My friends left me and I had to see so many different faces of the people." I chuckled dryly. " This curse was beneficial in some way. At least I got to know the true color of the people, but among all this,l my sister and my uncle were the ones who stood by me and always supported me." I felt a hand on my shoulder which pulled me and my head collided with the chest. "You are not a curse, I could say that. Well I would like to tell you that whenever Leandro used to talk about you he was always happy and it was like that he didn't really have another topic but about you. You were precious to him and still are. Why waste your life on believing in that nonsense? You still have so much ahead and I believe that you will be able to get through this and I promise that after this case is solved no one will call you a curse because your heart is way too pure to be called a black hearted." I looked at him and he was looking at the sky and I looked at the sky and found a full moon which was shining everywhere and the slow breeze was making things more romantic and I didn't even realize that I was still in Tsetan arms. I tried to wriggle out but his grip was strong. "Why are you holding me?" I asked him. "I just felt that you would like this more and see you are also feeling good, I assume." "I am and I am also ready to investigate the case," he smiled. "Don't be so cute or else I will fall for you." I froze for a moment and looked at him, but when I saw him, he was just smiling like it wasn't a big deal, but hell no, this is a big deal for me. "Please don't say that. I am afraid that I will harm you in some way." "i***t, there is no harm when I am beside you. You are harmless." After Leandro, he was the only one who had said those words. "Please don't say that or else..." I couldn't even complete the sentence. "Or else...?" he asked and I shook my head. "Never mind." He chuckled and we stayed there for more time and I was already feeling sleepy. “You are already looking sleepy now.” I nodded. "I need to sleep now. Let's go home." I said and he nodded and we started to walk towards the house and I slowly opened the door and entered and when I stepped forward into the house I felt something was under my feet and I looked down and found the cotton that is generally used to fill stuffed toys and I looked ahead and found so many more. "What are these cottons doing on the floor?" Tsetan asked. I looked at him and he looked at me. He was as confused as I was. "I don't know." "We should follow it." I nodded and we followed it and soon I saw blood on the path and I panicked. "Is it blood?" I clinged over Tsetan's arms and he gently removed my hands and bent down to take a look at it. "No, it is red paint." I sighed in relief when I heard that, and after that we followed further and I was shocked to see what was in front of me. The pool in our house was fully red and inside my teddy bear was badly destroyed. That teddy bear was given to me by Leandro. My eyes filled up. "Who did this to my teddy bear?" I said in a low voice before I bit my lower lip in order to stop my feeling, but my heart was already filled up with sadness. "Is that yours?" I nodded. "That was given to me by Leandro." I looked at him and he looked at me and again pulled me towards him and I sobbed quietly. Who had done this and why only to me? What have I done wrong that they are doing this with me? This is all very mysterious to me.
