Rhaegar didn't answer. The question followed them off the terrace and into the castle, lingering somewhere between them as servants hurried through the evening corridors carrying baskets, trays, and armfuls of folded linens. Nobody else seemed aware that the world had shifted slightly. Lexi was painfully aware of it. She was still wondering whether she should have asked the question at all when a young messenger nearly ran into Rhaegar at the foot of the stairs. "There you are."
