INSTEAD OF PROLOGUE
INSTEAD OF PROLOGUE
David Bowie in his song Five Years, mentions that “I’d never thought I’d need so many people”. Somehow, I felt the same way when I wrote these stories: I could never imagine that I would need so many characters in order to say all that I wanted to say. At some point, their wishes and their decisions slipped out of my hands, they were deciding by themselves about the course of their lives. So, instead of writing a few lines about the history of London Tube, I prefer to thank my co-travelers on this journey: Mary, Hecuba and Rodney, Sir Edward Bereford and Jake Fletsam, Peter and Lucy, Claus and Lea, Elizabeth and Diego and all the crazy people that were in Piccadilly station that day.
