Chapter 17
Jenna rose to awareness slowly, her mind foggy and slow. She couldn’t put her finger on the moment she went from drifting from dream to dream and started to become truly awake. Even once her mind kicked in she lay where she was for some time.
Finally her brain started to speed up. She blinked her eyes open and found a message hovering in front of her eyes. She blinked a few more times and it swam into focus, along with the surface it was appearing on. It was simple enough.
You are in a sleep pod. Please move slowly through the recovery stages.
Yeah right! She stretched her arms and legs, forcing her hands and feet to move. She wanted out of this thing and back to the bridge as soon as possible.
