“Two hundred metres,” said Jenna. “No reaction from the Trailblazer so far. I’m going to hold us at this distance for a couple of minutes before we move in.”
“Great!” said Cho. “Make us an easy target!”
“I’m keeping the shuttle moving!” Jenna snapped in reply. “Would you rather we just barrelled straight in, triggering any and all active defences in one fell swoop?”
“You said the ship was in low power mode!”
“Yes! Low power, not shut down. Even in low power mode the ship’s defences against being meddled with will be powered up. They’re more important then than at any other time. Now will you please sit down, shut up and let me get on with my job?”
