Two months later
It's been two months now and our senior year was over. Sandy had to leave back to her home since we had just a week to enter college and that meant we'll have to miss each other since we were both going to different college. The past months wasn't easy with because we had the popular guys stalking us everywhere we went but most of the time we were saved by Gideon who no longer move with them although he was still friends with Mickey. Gideon has practically become our friend and was hanging out with us most often. He also joined during lunch, studying with us during our discussion and on weekends he came over for our movie nights. My parents had grown fond of him and had given him the go ahead to visit anytime he wished.
"Gideon, our doors are opened to you anytime." Mrs Holes said on seeing Gideon for the first time and invited him over for dinner during the weekend.
[Gideon's P.O.V]
Although Mickey and I still remain friends, I had adopted to spending most of my time with Sandy and Nerly more than him. I think it's time I told him what I feel about Nerly, but I don't know what he'd think of me. The two of us had decided to choose Angelwood University which was closer to us. Coincidentally, Sandy is also planning on attending Angelwood University but it's quiet unfortunate that Nerly had different preference and had decided to move out to a college I'm yet to know. It saddens me alot but there's nothing I can do now.
I took a call to Mickey and he answered on the second ring.
"Hello, you going out?" I asked.
"No buddy, why do you ask?" Mickey replied from the other end.
"Yeah I'd like us to have coffee together and have a talk with you" I said.
"Sure, see you in 10 minutes time" He replied. I dressed up and left to meet him. Soon enough I met Mickey at the cafe where the athletes mostly had coffee.
"Yeah buddy, what's it you would want to talk? you have been off for sometime now and we hardly have time for ourselves" Mickey said once our coffee was served.
"Yeah bro sorry about my behavior over the past few days but there's something that has been bothering me recently." I replied apologetically.
"I understand and know that no matter what happens you can confine in me. So what is it that has been bothering you?" Mickey said sincerely with a genuine smile. "Thanks man, and I'm sorry to say I lied to you earlier" I said guiltily.
"About?" he asked confused.
Before I could say anything, the other three guy; Rickey, Steve and James showed up.
"Hey guys, what's up with you two?" Rickey questioned taking a seat between Mickey and I.
"Nothing, just hanging out with my favorite buddy" I replied with a smile.
"Mind if we join?" Steve asked.
"Not at all" Mickey said. All five of us had coffee together and chatted for a while before I excused myself.
"Guys I'd have to get going, see you later" I said.
[Nerly's P.O.V]
Since our senior year was over meaning high school is over, my family had planned a vacation for us before I move to college. Although mom and dad weren't happy with me moving far from home, they did not object my choice of college either instead they granted my wish and assured me of their full support.
During our vacation, I was getting in touch with Sandy and Gideon as well.
Rickey's P.O.V
Why do I always feel this way whenever I see Nerly. I've always wanted to have her but I'm afraid she'll reject me and make fun of me. I don't do relationships though but I can't afford to let her go. What hurts me so much is the fact that Gideon is now closer to her and not me. She's so different from the other girls in high school and I always wish to protect her. So innocent and.....I was thinking of Nerly when Gideon pulled me out of my thoughts.
"Man, you seem to be far what is going on? You are thinking of a girl I guess." Gideon asked with a smirk making the others laugh out loud.
Third P.O.V
It's been awhile since the guys saw Nerly and out of the 5 guys 2 missed her so much but none dared to voice it out. Rickey and Gideon had fallen for her. Rickey has been hanging around her home for the past weeks just to see her.
