Chapter 7

Nerly's P.O.V

After class today I felt really excited since it wasn't bad after all. Hailey and I said our 'goodbyes' and left to our various destinations. I got to know that she lived here with her parents but her brother lives close to campus. She prefers to be close to her parents who are close by. After class I was eager to tell my parents how my first day was and I was quiet surprised to see lots of missed calls from Gideon.

I called him once I settled home and we spoke at length.

"Hey babe, how are you doing? How was your first day on campus? Were you bullied? Did you get friends? Are you--"He asked sounding worried.

"Calm down, please which one should I answer first and besides there's nothing to worry about. I'm good thanks.... it was great just tiring, No! I wasn't bullied and yeah I had a friend already and she's just like me..." I replied giggling.

"That's so good to hear and I was only worried because I called you several times but no answer and it got me as worried as fu--" he said feeling more relaxed. We spoke for a while before I he decided that his time was due for him to go and workout.

I took turn to call my family so decided to call on the main line at home. As if they were expecting my call they answered on the first ring.

"Hello, dad how are you doing? I've missed you all so much already." I said once I heard my father's voice at the other end of the phone.

"We miss you so much princess and the house feels empty without you around" My dad replied sadly making me sad as well. "Hope you are doing well princess? I guess you like it over there and you are not sad"

"Daddy I'm okay and don't worry everything is fine with me over here." I said gratefully. I spoke at with my mom and two brothers and since it already late, we called it a day and said our goodbyes before hanging up the call.

I took my shower and decided to order for a pizza before I go to bed. Whiles I was waiting for my pizza, I heard my phone beep and took it out to check who it was. "Hey beautiful, how are you doing? Was wondering if you would like to have a walk around so that you would be familiar with the place. __Chris :-). I found myself smiling as I read his text.

I just ordered for a pizza and I'm waiting for it to be delivered.__Nerly

Okay then I guess I'm already late then. :-( ___Chris.

I heard my phone beep again after I sent my reply. You can still come over so we chat for a while if you don't mind. __Nerly.

Sure will be there soon Chris replied.

Third P.O.V

Chris headed to Nerly's room and saw a guy with pizza arriving at the same moment he got there and decided to take it from the guy and paid. He knocked and Nerly rushed to open it thinking it was the delivery guy. To her surprise it was Chris with a box of pizza smiling wildly at her.

"Chris, I wasn't expecting you to come this soon. Come in" she said taking the pizza from Chris. Chris spent hours with Nerly before he finally decided to leave. "Goodnight, see you tomorrow." Nerly said whiles seeing Chris off. "Goodnight and thanks for your time. Hope we can keep hanging around." Chris said before leaving.

Nerly's P.O.V

This morning classes by went quickly and it was not stressful. During lunch time Hailey and I went to the cafeteria, grabbed some snacks before taking our usual seat with Chris soon joining us. After lunch we all went to our various classes. Hailey and I decided to meet after the last class is over and head home. The last class was more fun and to the advantage of all students it was soon over and the last bell rang. I gathered my stuff heading out but before I got to the door, Lily stepped in front of me.

"What is going on between you and Chris?" she asked glaring at me with a hint of annoyance in her voice.

"Nothing, we're friends, well kind of" I said.

"Then it better stays that way, and besides he I don't think you are his type. No offense." She said with a fake smile.....no offense? I don't think she meant that. "He prefers girls who are well built and has b***s" She added.

"For your information, I. Am. Not. Interested. In. Chris" I replied.

"I don't believe that because girls like you always fall for muscular guys like Chris....guys they can't have if you'd want to know " She said sweetness in her tone but I can see beyond that that she is faking it.

"What is going on here and why are you saying she can't have a guy like me" I heard from behind...... Chris.

"No offense handsome but guys like you have girls like me......not Nerly." She said proud of herself.

"What does that have to mean" he asked seeming annoyed or furious if I'm right.

"I mean look at her and look at me, there's a huge difference" she said turning around.

I stood there not saying anything because I didn't want to be involved in any drama, she can think and say what she wants about me.

"Listen Lily, there's nothing wrong with Nerly and she's perfect and better than you in so many ways so back off and leave her alone." Chris snapped at her leaving her surprised and confused.

Before she could say anything else Chris grabbed my hands and pulled me towards the entrance of the school. "Thank you" I said once he let go of my hand. "No problem, but don't think about what she said to you earlier OK?" He said.

I nodded giving him a small smile before I saw Hailey heading towards us pretending to be annoyed. "What kept you so long? I've been waiting for hours" She whined like a child. "Lily was being a b***h towards her but I sorted it out." Chris replied on my behalf.

"Ignore her Nerly, she's always been a b***h" Hailey said and I gave her a small smile before we headed home.
