Chapter 5

After an hour of the dance, we were having fun. So much fun that I had my pack link turned off where no one could get a hold of me. The music was so loud that you couldn't even hear a pen drop or even a wolf howl. Not until I heard someone scream.
When I turned around right when I saw a few wolves busting through the windows. Sending glass everywhere. Some flying towards where I was. It all happened so fast, that I didn't even feel a sharp piece of glass hitting me right in the chest. I had fell over right in Gavin's arms.
Scarlet started freaking out a little but not for herself but for Michael's life. Because he was human. But also for me. I was hurt. Gavin lost it I'm guess because I felt him shaking one minute and the next he wasn't behind me. Michael had took over his place while, him Scarlet and a few others were fighting the rogue wolves. Even the rogue that went to the school was fighting.
It wasn't until I saw Tommy running over to us with Ms. Gibson.
"Zara, your going to be okay." Ms. Gibson had said.
Tommy went to pull the glass out of my chest but Ms. Gibson stopped him.
"Don't do that!" She had yelled at him.
"We have to for her to heal." Tommy said.
"She'll die if we do. It hit her right in the heart." She explained to him.
"She's gonna die as we'll if we leave it in her. She's already loosing to much blood." He told her.
I was gonna die no matter what. I was scared and I could feel my life fading as where I was at.
No I can't die I was to young, I just found my mate, for god sakes.
Then I saw Gavin running over to me, scare was all over his face. He knew what was happening to me, everyone did. When Gavin came over, he pulled the glass out of me and held his hand there.
"Keep your heart pumping Zara. I can't lose my mate. My Luna." Gavin kept saying to me.
I tried to speak but I couldn't find the words at all. Scarlet came over with the rest of the pack and rogues they surrounded us so no one could see. Mostly the humans.
"I contacted our parents, Zara. They should be here soon." I heard Scarlet say.
I looked everywhere around me that I could see. But mostly kept my eyes on Gavin. He had tears in his eyes and I felt bad. I slowly raised my arm to touch his face. He lean into it while he kept his hands in my chest.
"I'm getting cold, Gavin." I softly said.
"I know, Zara. Just stay with us please." He had choked out.
I tried nodding my head.
"Why isn't she healing?" I heard Michael ask.
"The glass was close to her heart. It could have done something." Ms. Gibson had said.
"Of all the things, rogues had to attack the school. They never done that." Tommy had said.
"Your a rogue, you tell us." Gavin had growled.
"Boys enough. We don't need that here. At least not right now." Scarlet said.
I took a big deep breath and felt everything drain out of me. I felt weakened, cold. I knew j was close of dying. I looked to the side of Gavin's head saw a light.
"The light is beautiful." I had softly said.
"No, don't go to the light." Gavin said.
"Zara, stay with us." Scar added.
But I couldn't. The arm I had lifted up to cup Gavin's face had fell and I can no longer see his gorgeous face. All I saw was darkness. Complete darkness.
Was I died. Was this how to be died. Like am I going to heaven or hell. Please be heaven, I was a good person. I mean I got mad at people for f*****g around. But I didn't deserve this.
Then I heard a small giggle. Then I was in a little garden. It was the garden at grandpa's back yard.
As I walked towards the pond, I saw a woman sitting down by the pond.
"I've been waiting for you my child." The woman had said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Honey, I've been waiting for you for 16 years. I hope you have been training well." She said as she looked up at me.
She looked like my mother. No my mother couldn't be dead. I kneeled down to her and started crying.
"Mother?" I said.
"No, my child. I'm your grandmother. More likely the moon goddess." She says as she took my hands. "I had warned your mother when you were born to get you and your brother ready soon. There's going to be a war coming. And I can feel it. This was just faze one of the all out war."
"War? What do you mean war? What's going to happened?"
"The moon goddess before me had told me that something bad was gonna happen when my grandchildren were born. That an all out war was coming. There's gonna be the most powerful alpha female gonna be born in my family and all those seek power will try to take her. So there's gonna be an alpha think he's more powerful to want you. To make children with you. Your the most powerful alpha female ever born in a life time." She had said.
"What do you mean?"
"The moon goddess gave me this gift you give to you. She wants this war over with. When she made wolves she wasn't expecting to get this bad. So today I give you the power of all power. She gives you the power of a Phoenix Bird, where if you die, you come back alive. The power of cheetah, where your faster then all kind. The power of gorilla, the strength/strongest of all kind, and etc. With these powers use them wisely and use them good for the war. We'll be watching you." She had said then fading away.
I was confused on what was going on, but didn't questioned any more. Then out of nowhere, I had flashed back to reality. I had risen up fast making everyone jump and gasped. My skin felt like it was on fire and when I looked it was. It was a pretty colors kind of fire. The flames had went and there was ashes all around me. I felt more confused until I remembered what she had said about the Phoenix Bird.
In Ancient Greek folklore, a Phoenix is a long-lived bird that cyclically regenerates or is otherwise born again. Associated with the sun, a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor. Some legends say it dies in a show of flames and combustion, others that it simply dies and decomposes before being born again.
I felt all the powers forming inside me, I felt the strength, the speed, everything that the moon goddess gave me.

I never felt so weak at this moment. Not even when my grandparents or my parents had passed away. Something with Zara, it made me feel different. The love I have for her. It was a different kind of love. We wasn't even fully mated yet but something felt off while I was fighting the rogues. I felt like I was fading in life itself but I know it wasn't me. Once I had killed off the last of the rogues, I ran over to Zara where she was laying. I pulled out the glass from her and put my hands in her to stop the bleeding. Waiting for her to heal but why wasn't she healing. It was all happening so fast.
"Keep your heart pumping Zara. I can't lose my mate. My Luna." I kept saying to her.
She tried to speak but I know she couldn't find the words at all. Scarlet came over with the rest of the pack and rogues they surrounded us so no one could see. Mostly the humans.

She looked everywhere around her for a moment then gave back to looking at me. She kept her eyes on me. Then I noticed I had tears in my eyes. I was falling madly in love with her and I was losing her in all within a short period of time.
She slowly raised her arm to touch my face, so I had lean into her hand while I kept my hands in her chest.
"I'm getting cold, Gavin." She softly said.
"I know, Zara. Just stay with us please." I had choked out.
She tried nodding her head.
"Why isn't she healing?" I heard Michael ask.

"Of all the things, rogues had to attack the school. They never done that." Tommy had said.
"Your a rogue, you tell us." I had growled.
"Boys enough. We don't need that here. At least not right now." Scarlet said.
She was right, this wasn't the time nor the place to start a fight again. Zara took a big deep breath and something about it, I felt everything drain out of her. She felt weakened, cold. I knew she was close to dying. She had looked to the side of me, like she saw something.

"Zara, stay with us." Scar added.
But I she couldn't. The arm she had lifted up to cup my face had fell to the floor. That's when I knew she was gone.
"No!" I growled. "No one touch her, not until her parents are here." I said as I got up. I went to walk away and saw some of the humans were still here. "Ms. Gibson get the humans out of here please." I ordered her.
"Yes, alpha." She said then got up.
The pack and rogues that was around us, bowed their heads not just for me but for their Luna that they just lost. Scarlet was crying and Michael held her in his arms. I didn't know what to do. I was completely lost right this moment. I stood by the windows what was left of them, crying. I didn't even hear alpha Castiel and Luna Olivia come into the gym. I didn't notice they were here until they came to me. When I turned around to look at them, Luna Olivia had hugged me since she saw I was crying.
Alpha Peter was losing his mind as well. He had flipped the tables that were set up for the drinks and finger food. He just lost his baby sister, of course he would go bat s**t crazy. I would have to, but I was trying to be strong for everyone.
"I was falling for her." I had whispered to her parents.
"We know son, we know." Castiel had told me.
"And so was she. She was looking for this day since she was young. She may not showed it but it was there." Liv had said.
As we were talking a little I saw a bright flame light appeared then a gasp. We all jumped and I heard gasps coming from everyone. I had ran over to where the flames were coming from and it was Zara. She was looking like a Phoenix Bird being reborn again. There were ashes around her and she was still in flames but they were the most beautiful flames I have seen. Then they died out.
She got up from the gym floor looking at everyone like it was the first time seeing them. That's when I really saw her. She was more beautiful than ever. The most beautiful person alive. I had grabbed her and hugged her for dear life. Then kissed her.
That would have been our first kiss but it was only a kiss to show how I felt for her at the moment that she was alive.
Sorry is this was long, but also short for Gavin's part. But I wanted to show what had went on, on his side of the story. How he felt for her when she had passed.
