Amanda stopped by the coffee shop. A cappuccino would do her a great deal this morning. Her mind was still in the incident but she had to get over it so she could handle her court cases.
As she walked in oblivious of the world around her, she bumped into a waiter spilling coffee all over her white and black checkered dress. She looked to see who she bumped into, he was good looking, the grin on his face was….'Am sorry', he said jolting her back to reality
'It's my bad'
'well then', he shrugging, 'maybe I can help you clean up.'
She followed him and he gave her a napkin and took her order. Just when she turned to go, he called out,
'hey, maybe dinner Friday night? Let me make up for ruining your morning.'
'sure', she said glad at the thought of having dinner with someone after so long.
She recognized him, it was the waiter she had noticed the other day.
Jacob was too occupied to even notice her coming. When he bumped into her, he knew it wasn't his fault but he apologized and offered to help her clean up because he wanted to start a conversation. He had seen her quite often, she was a regular at the coffee shop. He had always wanted to talk to her and mother nature just placed opportunity in his palm.
She wasn't his kind of woman, but she had this air around her that made him want to talk to her, perhaps it was the air that comes with being rich.
