Chapter 6

“Good morning, Scarlet!” sabi ko sa sarili ko. Nakatitig ako ngayon sa salamin. I’m up early to pack some of the clothes that I won’t be using for today and of course to choose the bikini that I will be wearing. Nagpa breakfast in bed kasi ang kapatid ko kaya maaga ako nagising. Its 6:30 Am and we are planning to dip sa pool mamaya. We are just waiting for Cav’s secretary, Jane.

The doorbell rang and mabilis ako lumabas sa room. Pagkabukas ko, it was jane, wearing a maong shorts and an oversized shirt. What? This is a wardrobe disaster! Nagulat ito ng ako bumukas sa pinto.

“Good morning po Ms. Go.” She politely said

“Please, call me Scarlet” I insisted.

Napa dalawang isip pa ito. I dragged her into my room and closed the door. I looked at her from head to toe. Hmmm since maputi din naman sha, she’ll look good in pink!

“Take off your clothes” I said habang hinahanap kung nasaan ang white dress ko and pink one piece.

“Po?” parang gulat at gulong-gulo tanong nya.

Aha! Found it.

“Take it off and change into this” I handed her the clothes

“Nako po Ms Go, hindi ko po pwede suitin yan, baka magalit po sakin si Mr Go.” Palusot pa nya

“I told you, call me Scarlet. And besides my brother won’t have any say in what you wear! It’s a vacation!” I smirked. I am pretty sure she will look good in those! Maganda kasi katawan nya. Saying lang matabunan ng shirt.

Flaunt it nga diba

“Get inside the bathroom” sabi ko sabay push sa kanya papuntang banyo.

Wala na shang choice kundi sundin ako dahil hinarang ko sha.

I heard a knock. I opened the door and it was Cav.

“Oh,bat di ka pa bihis?” he asked me.

“Yes, I will after Jane.” Napakunot naman ang kanyang noo

“Ano ibig mo sabihin sis?” naguguluhang tanong nya.

Tamang tama naman, lumingon kami dalawa ni Cav pagbukas ng pinto at lumabas si Jane sa banyo na nakabihis sa binigay ko na damit.

“Hindi po ata bagay sakin ang ganitong damit” mahinhin na sabi nya. Nakita nya naman agad ang kapatid ko sa likuran ko at agad itong namula “Good morning po sir Go” bati nya kay Cav.

“Sis anon a naman pinapasuot mo sa secretary ko?” natawa nlng ako sa kanyang reaksyon.

“Marvelous! You look good!” nakapalakpak na sabi ko. Dinedma ko lang si Cav.

“You are wearing that, ok? Mag picture tayo para sa ** ko. Hihih~” pagkasabi ko nun ay ako naman sumunod sa banyo. Bago ko pa man nasara ang pinto narinig ko silang nag usap. Hhmm they actually look great together sabi ko sa isip ko. Oo nga din, last night ako na ang umakyat sa room naming dahil may pupuntahan pa daw si Cav, I wonder where he went.

FLASHBACK

“Sis, mauna ka muna, may dadaanan lang ako then direcho na sa room natin and after, I will meet up with the guys.” He told me.

“Sure, I’ll go ahead then.” I stood up sa table namin at nauna na lumakad patungog elevator.

CAVIN’S POV

Don’t go anywhere.

I sent the reply at binalik ang phone ko sa pocket. As soon as my take away was ready, I went to the elevator and clicked the 9th floor.

“Who were you talking to earlier?” bungad ko agad pagkapasok ko ng kwarto nya.

“Ano po ibig nyo sabihin?” naguguluhan nyang tanong.

“Don’t act like you don’t know” I said firmly. Nilagay ko ang take away sa table.

I walked near her, paatras naman ito hanggang sa nabangga na sa pader ang likod nya. I moved closer, close enough to feel her breathing.

“Mr. Go” her reply was almost a whisper. She tilted her head to the side pero hinwakan ko ang baba nya at pinatingin sa akin. As soon as our gaze met, I felt this hot liquid rushing through my body. Bakit ko ba to nararamdaman sa kanya? My heartbeat was beating so hard I thought she could hear it.

“I told you to stop calling me that when we are alone” I firmly said.

Napayuko naman ito. Halatang namumula ang kanyang mukha. Nilagay ko ang dalawa kong kamay sa dingding, moved closer to whisper on her ear. “Whats my name?” I asked.

“Cav—Cavin” she stuttered. I grabbed her waist with my right hand, pulling her closer to me. Napa tingin naman ito sa akin, gazing intently.

“Good. Now answer my first question”

“Wa—wala po yun, nag tanong lang po kung nasaan ang comfort room sa lobby.” Mabilis nitong sagot.

“You think that was the only reason why that man approached you? Think again.” Seryosong saad ko. I let go of her at bumalik sa table kung nasaan ang pagkain na dala ko para sa kanya.

Nang tinignan ko sha ay namumula pa ito. Simpleng tao lang ang babaeng ito, walang arte sa katawan. I looked at her na nakasuot ng pajama. Ng bumaba ang tingin ko sa kanyang dibdiban na nakabakat sa kanyang damit agad akong napatingin sa sahig. Damn this woman! Napakagat nalang ako ng labi.

“Kumain ka na. don’t skip meals.” Huling sabi ko sabay lakad patungo sa labas ng room at binuksan ang pinto.

“hi—hindi po ba kayo kakain?” habol pa nito bago pa man ako nakalabas.

“tapos na kami ni scarlet. I gotta go. Lock the door.” Sabi ko sabay sarado ng pintuan.

You drive me crazy, Jane.

SCARLETS POV

“Are we ready to go?” bungad ko sa kanilang dalawa sa sala. I wore a slightly see through white floral dress. Underneath is my white two-piece. I’m not really new to the whole bikini in public dahil always naman kami naka ganito ni mommy kada may outing ang family. Though, Cav is not that much of a fan sa swimwear ko dahil nga overprotective na brother.

“Let’s go” seryosong tugon ni Cav at nauna na naman lumabas sa room. Bakit na naman moody ang taong yun?

Binalewala ko nlng at inaya na si Jane bumaba. Nag usap lang kami hanggang pool. Well, more like, ako ang salita ng salita dahil she’s not really talkative. Cavin was just quiet the whole time.

“Yey! Let’s take selfies!” I grabbed Cavins wrist and Jane as well. Nako e popost ko to dahil naka follow si mommy sa akin. We weren’t able to talk this morning dahil pupunta daw sila ni daddy kina Tito Garett, my dad’s twin brother.

“Say Vacation!” sabi ko before clicking the camera. Phone ko lang gamit ko para ma upload ko agad.

Sa picture ako lang ang nakangiti. Ay nako panira naman sila dalawa.

“Jane, dun tayo banda!” excited na sabi ko sabay hila sa kanya. Iniwan ko na si Cavin dahil parang wala na naman sa mood.

Pumwesto kami dito sa may chairs facing the pool. I took off my dress at na expose ang aking bikini. Simple white two-piece. I scrolled through my phone and upload us 3’s picture.

“Oh bat naka dress ka pa? hubarin mo na yan” sabi ko kay Jane. Nakaupo lang kasi ito sa chair at naka titig sa pool. Sakto lang din ang mga taong naliligo sa pool. Di masyadong crowded.

“Po? Nakakahiya naman po.” Mahinhin na sagot nya

“Hey, you have a great body! Flaunt it. Besides, walang paki ang mga tao dito sa US kung naka bikini ka especially if nasa resort tayo.” I tried to convince her. Saying naman kasi ang swimsuit kung di nya ipapakita sa madla diba. Besides, it might catch my brother’s attention hihi.

Nag dalawang isip pa ito bago nya tuluyang hinubad ang suot na dress.

“wowweee you look so good Jane! Let’s take a picture!” inaya ko sya mag selfie at buti naman ay ngumiti na sha.

Dumating naman yung kapatid ko bitbit ang dalawang juice. Nananaliksik ang titig nya sa amin. He gave us each the drink.

“Ahh refreshing pineapple juice” I commented pagka inom  ko.

“Can’t you put on your dress Scar? I don’t like men staring at my sister” parang iritadong sabi nya. Napalingon pa ito kay Jane. Napatakip naman ito ng dress sa swimsuit. Natawa nlng ako.

“Oh Cav, sino ba mag pajama dito sa pool?” I jokingly retorted.

Napa roll eyes pa ito sa akin.

He sat on the chair next to me, napagitnaan ako nila dalawa ni Jane.

“Jane gusto mo na maligo?” I asked her

“Ok lang po, kayo bahala”

“Let’s go swim?” aya ko sa kanila. Cav declined kaya si Jane na ang sumama sa akin sa pool

“How long have you been working for my brother nga Jane?” I asked her as soon as we dipped at the pool.

“mag almost 2 years na po.” She replied

“Ok lang ba ang kapatid ko? He is usually sweet. Ewan ko talaga jan sa mood swings nya” totoo naman kasi, Cav is sweet with me and to my mom.

“He treats me well naman po.” She gave me a heartfelt smile.

Hhhmm..

“If you say so. So far, are you having fun?” I asked.

“Opo. First time ko po pumunta ng abroad eh. Ang ganda po dito.” Sagot nya na nakangiti

I can see it in her eyes na nag eenjoy sha. That’s good to hear.

“My brother should bring you more often sa overseas business trips” I answered.

“Ok na po ako sa paminsan minsan. Mr. Go is a great boss naman po”

I just smiled at her and after that naligo lang kami sa pool for a few minutes at umahon na.

I decided to go to the beach and take photos of whatever great shots I can find. Iniwan ko na muna sila dalawa sa pool dahil nga parang bad mood si Cavin.

Palakad lang ako sa shore and took pics of the people swimming and may Nakita din akong shells sa shore and I took lots of pictures of those.

I just minded my own business, searching for shells and walking sa ankle deep na water ng biglang nahulog ang phone ko sa dagat! My phone was hit by a ball! Oh my god! Mabilis ko itong dinampot and tried to scroll ng bigla na itong na off. Anong gagawin ko ngayon?!

“Sorry” napatingin ako sa lalaking hawak hawak na ngayon ang bola na tumama sa phone ko.

Nagulat ako ng is itong pamilyar na pigura. Si Lancaster! Mas nagulat ako ng bigla itong lumakad paalis. I ran towards him

“yun lang and walk out agad?” unbelievable!

“Do you need me to compensate you for the phone?” seryosong sabi nya. Hindi naman ako mabilis na nagagalit pero parang sa taong to nauubos pasensya ko.

“I don’t.” mabilis kong sagot.

“Then what else do you need?” he looked at e with such cold eyes.

“I said sorry right?” habol pa nyang sabi. Bago pa man ako makasalita, he brushed me off at patuloy na lumakad palayo sa akin and he just left me dumfounded at he beach na hawak ang basang phone ko.
