THE RESEARCHERS

Hi!.. I am Analise...I live in a small village in Arizona, United States of America. I am 18 years old and I just graduated Bachelor of Science degree in Archaeology. My mom is a businesswoman while my dad works in a business office that provides a great salary. They spoiled me with gifts because I am an only child and that is their way to keep up cus they are always busy with their jobs and they didn't have so much time for me. But I am thankful though because I have my grandma that is always there for me whenever I needed her and she was the one who raised me. She's always supportive and she was also the one that introduced me to books whenever I read them every night my grandma will always cover my ears with headphones while I am reading it so that I won't be able to hear my parents arguing. I am a result of a mistake. My parents were just 18 when they had me and my mom's father forced my dad to marry my mom. My parents were just at a friend's birthday party, they were already friends at that time, my mom didn't like drinking but their friends forced her and after that, she got drunk and they didn't know what they were doing and that night they didn't think that it would cause a very tragic moment that changed their lives forever. My grandma told me that when I turned 17 because my grandma don't want me to do the same mistake as my parents did but unfortunately my grandma passed away 7 weeks before my 18th birthday. But my grandma is just saying that to teach me a lesson though before she died, because she already knew that God would take her away soon that's why she told me the truth, she didn't tell me that to hurt my feelings or something. And my grandma also told me that I should not be bothered by that because they will always love me and my parents are happy to have me though. I have my close friends from school Olivia, Jason, Connor, and Sophia. Olivia is a white tall blonde girl with brown eyes, Jason is a bit short guy that has a ginger curled hair with brown eyes, Connor is a tall guy with brown hair with hazel eyes, Sophia is a black girl that has black hair with green eyes, while I am a white girl that had black hair with brown eyes. We envied each other when it comes to competitions in school but we were very close outside that, and they also graduated with the same degree as me. Connor is my lover, we really liked each other but I don't want to engage in a relationship yet because I have my goals to reach first before any of that but he said he is always willing to wait for me whenever I am ready and I adored him so much because not only he is sweet but he is also smart, good looking, respectful, nice, kind, and he is also a pet lover and he is always there for me, and my parents liked him for me and his parents are also the same to me. We are a great influence on each other and we all adored researching ancient history and knowing more about it, and dreamed to be the greatest researchers in the world one day. One day when we are in our little office in my house we encountered this article that says the Legend of the Sacred Stone and we got very interested in this cuz it says it can make "every wish come true" and it can "bring back the life of the dead".We are very eager to learn more about this stone, and we spent days trying to search more about this after many tries, we got some very interesting news. Sophia found another article about the Legend of the Stone that says many researchers and archaeologists had tried to find this stone but they had no luck they just had the location where the stone was allegedly at. When we found out the place that the stone was allegedly at is 20km away from my house and it is an hour drive and we got very excited and discussed if we would want to continue finding this stone, Olivia said "It is a great opportunity, and there's nothing wrong with it if we try right?". " Yeah, she's right and besides the place is not so far away, and I know a guy there that can give us more information about the stone and the archaeologists who came there, I mean I'm sure he knows something because her mother runs a business hotel close to the area" Jason added, " The place that the stone is at is an abandoned mansion and I ain't gonna lie the place looks a bit sus" Connor replied. We furtherly discussed everything but eventually, we agreed to go and we need to finish everything before going. A few days later we packed everything we need for the adventure we were heading and the trip started.We had a blast chatting and having fun in our van before we arrive.And thankfully we arrived safely and the guy Jason knows turned out to be her cousin, her aunt is the one who runs the hotel business near the area and we were shocked at how great of a view the place was, there are so many trees surrounding the place and there is a few houses nearby and the place is also great for vacations cus it is so peaceful and all you can hear is the birds chirping or the sound of the rain pouring down. Jason's aunt told us about how many archaeologists explored the mansion but unfortunately didn't find anything they just said that there are just some clues that they didn't understand and after many hours of chatting with Jason's aunt we decided to explore the mansion tomorrow because it is getting really late, we booked two rooms in their hotel, one for the boys and one for the girls. We got up early and packed the things that we incase need, and the start of the search for the ancient Legendary stone had begun, when we got there we found some tents outside the mansion," I didn't expect them to be here." Conor said. We entered the mansion but right after we entered Olivia felt a little dizzy but she ignored it, we found something written on the wall next to a safe.We found out that it was written in ancient words that we thought no one could ever understand but Connor take a much more close look at the writing and said " Yeah, a bit hard to understand but I think I can read it ", we were a bit shocked "Where did you learn that and how come you didn't tell us about it?", I asked, "I forgot to tell you guys about that, I'm sorry" he replied. "You better teach us about this when we get back home." I added "Yes ma'am, I will." he replied. Connor starts reading it and he told us that the words are written on the wall state how to find the stone and how to get out their alive because if we had any luck on finding it, the guardian of the stone might not want us to get out there alive. "To find the stone there is a key hidden in the back of one of the paintings you must find it to get inside the locked door in the master's bedroom upstairs and if got any luck of finding the stone you must not touch it, instead get a little closer to the stone and do your wish and leave everything behind and gain courage and faith in yourself that you can get out alive and do not let your fear get to you and believe in yourself if you do that the way out is much easier to see and last thing, if you are in a group seriously do not leave anyone alive you must get out there without leaving anyone behind, Goodluck finding the stone adventurers, Yours truly, The owner".We searched every painting and found a silver key and open the locked door in the masters' bedroom and found a secret passage. "Let us keep always in mind what the owner said earlier that was written on the wall", Sophia said while we were walking. Suddenly someone or something keeps whispering our names coming from the door that appears right in front of us, we bravely go into the door cus we have no choice. Unfortunately, we made a big mistake cus that after we entered we realized that we got separated from each other, Jason and Sophia is together and Conor and Olivia is also together and that left me alone in a very stinky room and I felt a very cold breeze in the room but there is no window, it was ghost silent in the room and there is only one light on too and suddenly I heard a loud bang coming inside the room and there I realized they hit me hard in my back and after that, I felt unconscious. A few minutes later I found myself surrounded by some people who are wearing a big black cloak and they are whispering something and after that they are saying my name getting really loud and a big a very big guy approach me and and pulled me in a very big dark eerie room with so many paintings around it , and the people that wore cloaks didn't stop saying my name getting really loud and getting really close to me but I saw a baseball bat on the side and immediately hit one of the people getting really close to me and destroy the big painting with the lighted candle , they got really angry and tried to hit me with a big thick wood but he missed and another person tried to throw the painting at me but they got missed it again and luckily I found a key and immediately ran and unlocked the door but before I got to open the door , one of the black cloaked people grabbed me by my hair and hit my head really hard into the wall causing my nose to bleed but I fought back and got out of the room and locked it from the outside. In a distance, I found Jason and Sophia running like somebody was chasing them and, I was very shocked and worried to see Jason injured in his left arm and can barely walk and saw Sophia supporting him, but before I could what had happened I saw the black cloaked people started walking really fast holding some kind of weapons and in panicked we got inside an empty room without knowing what we could find inside but luckily we just entered a big empty room and we stayed there for a few minutes and told each other what had happened and they told me that after we got separated a blacked cloaked people that looks like in a cult captured them but they fought back and she Jason protected her from the hitting of the cloaked people, that is why Jason got badly injured. A few minutes later we heard Olivia screaming and went in the other door, we didn't notice earlier with Connor holding a knife and Olivia holding a long wood, they are catching their breaths and suddenly Connor noticed my nose bleeding really badly and he got to me immediately and they are really concerned about how I lost so much blood because of the bleeding and I started to feel very dizzy and felt really weak but I didn't tell them because I don't want them to worry about me and Connor told us that after entering the door they found themselves in a big hallway somewhere and they found some weapons on the side and grab them in case they need it and they said after roaming around in a few minutes some people found them, they thought they are also researchers that are lost that is wearing some weird clothes but turned out they aren't some kind of researchers but someone who wants to kill them and that is why they ran and found the room. We heard some kind of noises outside the room and suddenly felt the ground shaking and heard the black-cloaked people saying some kind of ritual or something after that the doors unlocked on their own and that is also the time when the noise and ground shaking stopped. We don't have any choice but to went inside one of the doors if we want to get out alive but before we could enter Sophia said "Uhmm...guys are we really sure we should enter that door?, what if we got separated again!?, how are we going to look for each other?".. "Sophie, remember what you told us earlier about what the owner said, you told us that we should always keep in mind to what the owner said written on the wall remember?!, the owner said we should always have the courage to ourselves and do not let our fears get us, and he also told us if we want to get out alive we should always stick together and not leaving anyone behind".I said and grabbed her hand gently and told her.. "Sophie, no one is going to leave you, we will get out here alive together.I promise.".She sighed in relief and hugged me, and we entered the door and we were shocked by what we saw. We got outside and we felt a very eerie cold breeze and heard a very loud scream, after that, we heard a very loud laugh and saw a white dressed woman standing in the middle of the deep forest surrounding the mansion..We felt shivers and goosebumps all over our bodies and suddenly a bodyless head came rolling at us and said in a very deep voice "Guess who's going to die here hahahahha, all of you hahaha", in panicked Jason grabbed my bat and smashed the head so hard but the head just keeps laughing so loud in a very terrifying voice and the blood splash out at us and the blood is all over the floor but the headless body just didn't stop laughing and just rolled away from us heading towards the forest with the very creepy lady..We decided to roam around for a bit and we realized that we can't go anywhere far from the mansion because we realized the black-cloaked people are there and they had guns and they started to point the guns and started shooting, then we ran inside the house and found ourselves in a hallway. "Is this the hallway you are talking about earlier Connor?" , I asked "No!, but there is something wrong in here, the hallway is endless!!" Connor replied..As we walked and walked for a few minutes trying to find a way out, we heard the very creepy laugh again " The laugh is starting to get very annoying!!.." Jason said .. We found a door at the end of the hallway but as we started to walk towards it the hallway starts to get very narrow and tight as we get near it, the laugh starts to get really louder too and we heard a cracking sound on the wall and blood starts to pour on the floor really fast and we started to scream because the blood on the floor starting to get high and the hallway is really getting so tight that we barely even fit. The blood is at our chest high and it is also starting to get really hard to breathe because of the thickness of the blood and it is starting to get very intense every second that goes by. The blood is in our necks high, and the blood is starting to drown us and we started screaming and panicking and we thought that it is the end of us but Jason thankfully managed to open the door just in time and we got out in that stupid hallway thinking that it was the end of us. We were covered in blood and a few minutes later as we were catching our breath, we were shocked but what we saw in front of us.. It was the stone in front of us, we started walking towards it and we saw the stone has some unexplained carvings on it, and then a beautiful woman appeared in front of us and said, "Do you all want to hear a little secret?". She told us that what we heard about the stone is partially not true because the stone can't make the dead back to life, and the stone can only make your one wish come true, one for each adventurer who luckily got out of the challenges alive..Then she asks us if we encountered the deadly little man in one of the rooms, then we said no, we didn't. "Well, you are all very lucky because if you encountered this little man, you can't get out alive because he will not let you get out there alive, then he will eat all your flesh and even the bones even if you are the strongest man in the world you can't kill this little man because he is immortal and had some terrifying power it would be very impossible to manage to get out alive.". Then she told us that our motives is not very clear and she also said she felt at ease with us and said we were trustworthy people and told us the history of the stone. She said the stone was originally found in a very wide desserted ancient Egypt and the people used to praised the stone because the king that kept the stone for how many years blessed them with good wealth, health and many more but one day one of the trusted people of the king that knows every secrets of the palace attempted to steal the stone and as just he put the stone into his pockets , the stone fell and the first guardian of the stone got really mad and turned the whole palace into stone even the people , and after many years some so called archaeologists found the stone and realized that it is worth of trillions of dollars and attempted to sell it but before they could sell it the first guardian of the stone turned them into stones and hid itself in here and entrusted the stone to me and that makes me the second guardian of the stone and I have everypower in the world just to protect the stone from the filthy people who wants to use the stone for some selfish reasons and much worst of it everytime when someone will touch the stone it will turn into a monster and it will face a very terrible death under the power of the stone and you will feel that every second you will feel pain and agony as if someone is slitting your neck ,until your neck is completely cut and that pain will last until you die or much more brutal and much more worse than that and that was exactly happened to the thief who attempted to steal the stone..We didn't say anything because we were in shock at how brutal it is just to touch the sacred stone. Then, the guardian told us to make a wish for the stone. " I hope my dogs will get better from the terrible disease that made them suffer", Olivia wished to the stone, "I hope my aunt will be proven innocent in the court and can clear her name because she is not a bad person, someone just set her up" Sophia wished. " I wish my family will always be healthy and safe and away from any diseases in this world" Jason wished, " I hope my grandma will get better from her sickness and will have a long life", Connor wished, but before I could say anything the guardian interrupted us and said to Connor " I'm sorry, the stone can't fulfill your wish because your grandma just died, and as I said earlier the stone cannot make a dead life come back."..He was devastated and started crying, we comforted him but the guardian said we should make our wish soon because we don't have much time left , before he could wish he asked the stone guardian how did she know about that but she just replied that she can sense it. " I wish my grandma is always happy wherever she is right now and I hope she will always guide me." Connor wished while crying, " I wish we can go back to our families safe and sound and I hope we can get out here now." I wished.. The Guardian said "So no one is going to wish for money or many pieces of jewelry?" then we nodded and said some words and a door suddenly popped out of nowhere and before we can enter the door the guardian said some final words, "I hope I will not be able to see you again here, Goodbye it was very nice to meet you all and you should not tell other people what's in here because if you did you will all die." We promised not to tell anyone and waved goodbye to her and entered the door.. We finally made it out there and saw some people walking towards us looking so worried because we were covered in blood and asks us what had happened but Jason said "We just decided to cover ourselves in blood and tried to scare you guys because its Halloween..Happy Halloween, he said awkwardly". Then I felt so dizzy and passed out..I woke up and found myself in a hospital my mom was crying beside me with my dad and the doctors told me that I lost too much from the nosebleed and the bleeding from my head, and my mom keeps asking where I got the injuries from but I kept telling her that I just got them because I slip while decorating some props for the Halloween then I found my friends coming inside and told me that when I passed out I was so pale and it has been two days since the incident and the doctors also told them that I lost so much blood but they said they are very grateful because I am okay now..A week later I finally can get out of the hospital and go home, then while I am in my room drinking some coffee and scrolling down in my social media on my laptop, I found a new article about the lost diamond necklace of an ancient pharaoh, then I called my friends and told them about what I found and ask them to come over , then Olivia said on the phone, "Yeah, Another exciting adventure with the squad baby!". I wonder what kind of adventure is waiting for us in the future, I hope it's going to be good!...LETS EXPLORE MORE ON WHAT'S OUT THERE AND OFF TO THE NEXT CHAPTER OF OUR ADVENTURE!!..
