These men have had it rough. I feel so bad for them. I'm hoping that then, being here, we can at least try to make life a little better for us. " Okay, why don't you guys ask me some questions? I think we're done with the heavy for a little while" We all shot questions back and forth to each other for the rest of the night had some laughs cried a little by the time we all decided that we were done talking it was 6:00 AM it was time for me to go and check everything first thing I did was walk to the computer and turn on the monitor first thing I noticed that didn't set right with me was a backpack leaned up against the gate in a bicycle laying on the ground just a few feet from the gate this raised my suspicion I fought with myself for a little while Trying to decide if I should tell one of the guys to come with me after a few minutes I look to see who was around and saw Kai Sitting on the couch reading a book "Hey Kai could you come with me for a few minutes i need your help with something" Kai Looked up at me and smiled he got up, set the book down on the coffee table "Sure let me get dressed and ill be right back" I nodded and walked to my room and put on my short shorts and a tank top and my boots By the time I had gotten done and came out of my room Kai was waiting for me, I grabbed my gun and my rifle, and we headed out the door we walked down the path to the gate I told Kai to wait by the gate wile I went up to the lookout on the gate, so I could possibly see the person who left the backpack and bike when I got up to the lookout. Grabing The binoculars I start looking out into the surrounding area at first I don't see anything I start looking towards the north when movement catches my eye I swing back around that's when I see her Harper I never thought I'd see her again she looks tired and hungry and cold I quickly sat down the binoculars and rushed down the stairs as soon as I hit the bottom I sprinted to the gate I handed the gun to Kai and told him just in case Watch my back I slowly opened the door on the gate and step out Kai stepping out behind me as soon as I see her I start sprinting I quietly say her name and she looks up at me, I asked her if she has been bitten she tells me no and that I can check her when we get to the house I run up to her and wrap my arms around her, it's been quite a few months since I've seen her, and I'm so happy that she's back I pulled away holding her at arm's length and asked the obvious question "Did you find your mate is he here with you" she looks at me and says "I found him about a month after I left we stuck together for a wile until we got ambushed wile trying to get back here we got Separated I found him two days later he is hurt, but he's ok it's not a bite he ran for a little while found a nice big tree to climb he climbed up and waited until the horde left once the horde left he was trying to climb down, and he fell he dislocated his shoulder and broke his wrist but other than that I'm pretty sure he's ok I'm just having a hard time getting him here" I looked over at Kai And motioned for him to follow us he turned around and secured the gate locking it and then followed us into the woods we walked for about 15 minutes, we came across a rock face Harper climbed up about half way, and we followed her into what looked like a small cave where a massive man with red hair and a full beard sat he looked like he was in pain he was all sweaty and was shivering after a few minutes we heard footsteps I swung around and pointed my rifle to the entrance of the cave Kai grabbed the Barrel of the gun and said "don't shoot its Henry and Jake I mind linked them to come and help" I breathed a sigh of Relief just ad they walked into the cave Henry and Kai walked over and helped Harper's mate to his feet I look over to Jake, and he has a blank look on his face, and he is slightly pail he is staring at Harper's mate I told everyone to start heading back to the compound I stop Jake and turn him to look at me. "What's going on Jake you look like you have just seen a ghost" Jake started shaking almost like he was about to shift I grabbed his face and pulled it down to me and kissed him with as much love as I could muster when I pull away he is looking at me with wide eyes he takes a deep breath to calm himself "Who is that man to you Willow?" I look at him for a split second before saying "The girl is my friend Harper I met her shortly after I completed the compound and the man I believe is her mate I have never met him why what's going on" Jake took another deep breath then said "that man is my brother Kane. please tell me that you really don't know him?" I'm staring at him with my mouth slightly ajar, and I know my eyes are wide "Of course I don't know him I have heard her talk about him, but she called him Will every time she did" he looks down at his feet and sighs "Will is his middle name he was always slightly different from my dad and our brother he would hang out with me when dad, Kage and their mother was around I think the only reason he got mean when they were around was because I think they would beat him if he was nice and also in pretty sure that Kage didn't have a soul he was evil inside and out just like out dad and his mom" I grabbed Jakes hand and placed it on my cheek and leaning into his touch I looked up at him, he had a small smile and nothing but love in his eyes. I smiled up at him, taking his hand and leading him out of the cave. Walking towards the house, I got to the gate. Theo was waiting outside the gate. Theo looked at Jake. "Was that who I think it was?" Jake just nodded and walked past Theo. I stepped up to Theo and kissed the side of his mouth and walked into the compound. Waiting for Theo to step into the gate, we closed and locked the gate and walked up to Jake. We all walked inside.I helped Harper into the bathroom in my room so she could shower and get cleaned up. She was covered in mud, blood, cuts and bruises. She looked so tired. I sat her on the toilet and got the water going for her in the shower and filled the tub with really hot water. "OK, get undressed and get in the shower, wash all the dirt off of you, then take a soak in the tub while I tended to Kane be OK". She nodded her head and started to get undressed.
