My sudden husband

"Does anyone have reasons why this couple should not be married?" The priest asked. Some people started murmuring, but no one said anything to the priest. Seeing that no one said anything, he decided to go on with it. "With the power vested on me by God and man, I now pronounce you......" He was cuts off by the cold voice of a young man walking in the church. "This union can't hold. She cannot marry that man" The man said. He glanced at the little girl he was holding and then stared back at the people getting married. "Who... Who are you, and what do you mean by I cannot marry him? " Phoebe didn't want anyone to get in the way of her marriage with Louis, she loved him so much and all she wanted was to get married to him. At this moment the murmuring of people increased. "You can't get married to him because.... you are already married" His cold voice replied, making phoebe to tremble. She didn't know the man from anywhere, how could he just come out of nowhere and start claiming to be her husband? "What is going on here?" Louis found his voice after being shocked for a while The man didn't say anything, he was just glaring at the bride. "Answer, who are you!!" Phoebe yelled. The man scoffed, he told them who he was earlier ago, why were they still asking. "Do you all have problems with hearing? Or are your ears too dirty? Do you need someone to clean them for you" The little girl spoke for the first time since she walked in the hall. She turned to face the man and said, "Daddy I think they have problems with hearing well, what do you think?". "I think so too... Daddy is here to handle everything, just stay quiet" He told her. "You will be committing a crime if you marry her. She's already married and can not get remarried, except we have a divorce and I don't plan on doing that anytime soon" His words breezed into their ears. If it was a nightmare then Phoebe wanted to wake up from it, but unfortunately it was real. "Louis, someone doesn't want us to get married. They are faking all this things" She said to Louis who was already looking confused and angry. "Then do something! Someone call the cops" Louis screamed, he was going crazy. "Oh, cops" The little girl scoffed, she should be about six to seven years old. She walked to the chair close to the altar, and sat on it. "My dad and I will be patiently waiting". Phoebe gasped in astonishment. She was astonished by the little girl's behavior. "You little spoilt brat!! How dare you. Weren't you taught how to respect your elders? Didn't your mother teach you!!". Her words made the little girl to laugh. "You didn't teach me, how will I learn?" She continued laughing. "You arrogant...." Phoebe was disrupted by the young man. "Enough!! Do not raise your voice at her, and do not insult her!...Get your filthy ass down from the altar let's go home" He challenged her. "Me, filthy ass? Listen Mr man, I am a lawyer and am gonna sue you. You are gonna spend the rest of your life in jail" She thundered back. Some people started leaving, while some were video recording and murmuring. Minutes later, the sound of police sirens could be heard. Phoebe smirked at him. "Like i said earlier, you are gonna spend the rest of your life in jail... And as for you" She pointed her finger at the little girl, "You are gonna be taught some manners". "Do not. move. Hands up" The cops yelled, not knowing who to point the gun at. "Arrest him. This is the lunatic" Louis pointed at him. The man's back was facing the cop, so they couldn't see his face. "Hands up" They said from behind, and pointed the gun at him from behind also. Seeing the cops, the little smiled. She stood up from the chair and walked to meet the cops. "Do you realize the man is my father?" She asked, and the cops immediately withdrew their guns. They knew the little girl so well. That was the moment the man turned to stare at the cops. "We are sorry, sir" Seeing his face, they quickly apologized. The couples didn't know what was going on, they didn't know who the man was. Afterall, they were new in the city, they only came for their wedding. "Arrest this man! He's trying to marry my mummy" The little girl screamed. The cops walked to meet Louis and then cuffed his hands. "What is going on" Louis and Phoebe chorused. "Marrying a married woman is illegal, you are under arrest. Do not utter a word, cause it might be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to an attorney" One of the cops said to him, and the others took him away. "Louis!!" Phoebe cried as she tried to go after him, but the little girl went and stood on her way. "Get out of my way!" She wasn't thinking straight, so she pushed the little girl, making the girl to fall on the floor. One wouldn't think straight in such condition. What would you do if something similar happen to you on your wedding day? What would you do if your groom got arrested on your wedding day? "Daddy" The little girl cried. Phoebe stopped right at her track as she heard the voice of the little girl crying. She felt touched. She didn't know whether to go apologize to the little girl, or to go after Louis. She was caught between a rock and a hard place. "Emerald" The man immediately walked to meet the little girl on the floor. "Are you injured? Tell me. Are you okay?". Phoebe had forgotten her condition, as she was just staring at the caring dad and the arrogant daughter. "I am fine, dad. Go after mummy" Emerald said. "You!" He started walking closer to her.
