Training

Eli stood at the basement which she designed as a workout place for herself. She has always been interested in learning fighting skills. So she trained herself and off course got proper training from people too. Despite her petite figure she is actually very good in the ring. She eyed uncle Greg looking at her collection of daggers and swords. She is not really fond of bullets but they are there too. At the centre of the basement, she stood in comfortable attire. Her father stood at a corner. Mrs. Evans stood in another and Arin sat on the bench press swinging her legs. "What are we doing here again?" "Training. You need to train and awaken your animal instincts to make the procedure less problematic." Eli nodded along with her father. Apparently, uncle Greg did a closed door meeting with her parents and talked about some ritual that needed to be done in a few days. What ritual??!!... they won't talk about it. But she will believe the others. " Close your eyes. As an animal shifter, we are blessed with enhanced senses. You already use your sight. So we shall go with the others. Smell, sound.. focus on these things." Eli closed her eyes and did as she was told to. She took a deep breath to organise herself and was hit with a load of different smells. She can make out the smell of fresh roses and apples among them and registered it as Ariana. She wanted to find out the place of source when sudden strong whiff of peaches hit her nose. The moment she took another whiff in the air, she was hit with something hard on her arm. Maintaining her stability she opened her eyes to see her father standing with a wooden bar in hand. Her first thought was, 'Wow! Dad smell of peaches?' Then creased her forehead. "What was that for?" "Well, we need to do it in the smallest amount of time. So it's gonna be a little brutal and a lot practical." In the corner of her eyes she saw uncle Greg come forward and put his forefinger up. " You have to let your mind be void of any thoughts. Trust your instincts and move with it. Let your other senses be your eyes." With that he put his forefinger in between her eyebrows and pressed a little where a little purple glow seeped in. She stood still. Her instincts that always resembles to an animal perked it's ears up. It softly pushed against the bar an intact bar. She allowed it to break. She felt the air around then took a tentative sniff. The mix of different smells was there but she can feel the sources are different. She heard soft thuds of feet coming towards her. She heard the air slicing at the level of her head and ducked with instinct. She can feel the smile in her dad's voice. " Good. Again...."
