Unexpected

The day went as smooth as it should.

Eli dropped her sister at school, then attended several meetings with her core team for different strategies to widen their business, listened to her father's complaint about herself for being a ruthless strategic person, and then pacified him with a slice of cake and came back home at the time of dinner.

But she could not shake off the uneasy feeling that formed in her gut from the morning.

She knew something is going to happen because her instincts never lied to her. She knew it's going to happen the moment she heard the loud knock on their door at 9 in the evening.

The hunch was there. when she watched her parents huddled in a sofa in front of TV it was there. When her Ariana snuggled close to her while reading a book while she worked on her pending file... it was there.

It was an itchy feeling that made her skin prickly and her mind apprehensive.

She felt restless....... and the door was knocked.

Trusting her instincts she pushed Ariana down on the couch away from the door and stood up when her father went to get the door.

A bulky man came in followed by another two men who looked like assistants. The first one looked around first. The moment the man's eyes landed on Eli, he let out a growl.

Eli squinted her eyes. Did the man just growl??... literally???

She eyed the man top to toe. He was donning a navy-blue suit which fitted him just perfect. His shiny black shoes to his slicked back hair screamed of expenses. His dark eyes and high held chin showed his pride. He is handsome.

But Eli can smell trouble under his skin.

Before anyone can react, the man reached her with a fast speed that startled her. He held Eli by her waist and neck and sniffed the air around.

The authoritative voice boomed around the room, " You will come with me. I'm gonna make you mine."
