Ceremony's Got me Crazy

As I'm sitting in my chair in our room a sudden cold feeling comes over me. It was as if someone was staring and watching me. I look over my shoulder and see no one there. I get up and go to the balcony, thinking someone was watching me outside. Weird. I don't see anyone out there either. I chalk it up to my nerves. I'm walking back in the room when Connor walks in, "How are you feeling? I'm getting some uneasiness from you." I walk over to him and hug him, burying my face in his chest. "Connor, I feel like something's about to go down tonight. Not just the ceremony, like someone's going to make an appearance and harm us. I know it may seem crazy, but that's what my gut is telling me. And Blue, she's feeling uneasy, too." I tell him my concerns.

"Babe, you'll be fine. I'll have our warriors all over the ceremony to protect us. I'm sorry you feel this way. But I need to go so you can get ready. Link me if you need me." He looked like he wanted to say something else, but stopped before he could get the words out. I wonder what else he wanted to say. I ignore that little part, but I can't ignore the feeling in my gut that someone is going to hurt this pack tonight.

I shoo Connor out of the room so I can get ready. To believe that it's in two hours. I'm going to be in this pack as their Luna, protector and anything else they need me to be. I'm excited and so is Blue.

I feel a little sense of calm from her added words. My minds racing 20 miles a minute when my sister and mother walk in the room. "Hello, dear. How're you feeling?" My mom's the first one to speak. "I'm fine, momma." It's like she can sense something is wrong with me. "Momma, I feel something bad is going to happen tonight. At my ceremony, I feel someone is going to harm us." She just takes me in her arms and holds my. "My dear, Young Alpha will protect us. He certainly wouldn't want anything to happen to his mate." She holds my face in her hands, a calming aura formed around us. She helped me calm down and I thanked her for that.

"Thank you momma. I feel like I know what type of powers I have, but not sure. Hopefully Uncle Cain can help me with the witch he's bringing tomorrow." I sound hopeful when I'm saying this and there's a glow in moms eyes when she hears me. "Alright sweetie, let's get you down there for your ceremony." We go to the elevator and head down to the front yard where I'm meeting Connor to be announced as Luna.

"As everyone knows, I have found my mate, your Luna. And I would like to announce her at this time, Raelynne Hawthorne." I get nervous as I'm walking up to the platform. Connor links me, Don't worry, love. You'll do great. Him saying this causes me to give him a small smile. I get up in front of the pack and introduce myself, "My name is Raelynne Hawthorne, mate of your Alpha, Connor Johnson. I will do my very best as your Luna. I didn't come from a great background. I didn't know who my dad was but my mom filled the role as mother and father, and without her I wouldn't be the person I am today. I came to this pack running from something, what I didn't count on was that I would find my forever home and be a leader to so many wonderful people. I hope that each and every one of you will come to me with any problems, and I promise, I will try and do my very best to help you all." I give everyone a smile. Trying to hide my nervousness.

Connor gives me a thumbs up and a smile. He walks me over to a bowl where there is a knife and towels. He begins saying, "Do you, Raelynne Hawthorne, swear to protect this pack and serve as their Luna."

"I accept" I say to him. He takes my hand and cuts down the middle of my palm, I wince at the sudden pain. He takes his hand and does the same. Both our blood drips into the bowl as he announces, "Welcome to Bridgewood Pack. Welcome home Luna." I'm hit with waves of thoughts and feelings from the pack members. All at once they flood my mind and it's all to overwhelming for me. Connor must notice this because he's by my side in an instant, "Luna, what's wrong?" I put my hand on his cheek, "Nothing, just a lot to take in at once." I say with a smile. He smiles back at me and captures my lips in a passionate kiss. I moan into the kiss, when suddenly we are interrupted by a clearing of the throat. "Sorry to interrupt, Luna and Alpha. Nut there was a disturbance at the border of our pack lines. We have some checking it out, but wanted you to be aware."

"Thank you Zach. I'm heading to my office, make sure Luna and her family are safe. At all cost protect the Luna. We can't be too careful with this." Just then someone came through the mind link, "ROGUES!" That's when all heck broke loose.
