Land of Ichors

The city of Palestine is a very overpopulated place. There is no such thing as family planning and birth control in this city. Their government is not strict as long as people are not killing each other. They are also not stern when it comes to s****l activities, which is why people have the freedom to do what they want and engage in s****l activities like kissing, cuddling and even having s****l i*********e in public. Because of this, Palestine has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy among all the cities in the world, but this has not become a problem for the government. Years have passed and the peacefulness of Palestine has stayed the same. All we can see is happiness, bright smiles on their faces, children playing around, and people interacting peacefully. One day, all the citizens are given an order to gather in front of the capitol. Each family received a letter saying that "all family members, including small children, are required to attend the said gathering." They are all confused and shocked because of the sudden announcement. When all the citizens were already waiting in the capitol, armed forces started to appear behind them. They marched all together towards the citizens and formed a circle around them. As soon as they stopped moving, the president showed up. The citizens are scared and confused at the same time. They keep on shouting and asking about many different things. Some are asking "Why are we here?" "What is happening?" Can we let the children go home? They’re crying because they're scared." Then the president shouted, "Everyone! Calm down and listen. Due to overpopulation, many things that are going to happen are already. Many rules have changed. I know some of you are not going to like this, but you have no choice but to follow. From now on, I will implement a one-child policy for every family. Many are angry and bewildered by this news. They started shouting and  There is shouting and many people are trying to get out, but the armed forces are too numerous and strong. The president continued speaking, but no one was listening. Because of this, the president’s right hand ordered one of the army to shoot one citizen. The people are speechless and startled as the army shoots the citizens. The president said, "Now, I think you are all ready to listen again." If you do not cooperate, many will die. To continue what I was saying awhile ago, the one-child policy will now be implemented. For those families who have more than one child, we will give you the freedom to choose which one of them is going to stay and which one is going to leave. Lastly, you will never see those children of yours that you have chosen to be left behind. That is all. " Many parents and children started crying out loud. Most men are trying to kill the army, and some of them are protecting their children. Because the army was too strong, they failed to leave the capitol. Those people who chose to fight them died. Many are being shot one by one. A few minutes later, only half of the citizens are alive, and those are the people who chose to cooperate with the government. The families started leaving one at a time, leaving some of their children behind. The whole place is filled with dead bodies and children crying. As the last family left the capitol, those children who were left behind were blindfolded and forced to ride in a big truck. A few minutes later, the citizens heard gunshots and children screaming. All they can do is cry and hug each other. The citizens soon went to their respective houses. Weeks have passed, but every family is still filled with grief, regret, and despair. They keep on crying until the point where there are no more tears to cry. Some went back to the capitol to ask if their children were still alive, but no one was responding to them. After five years, the citizens slowly moved on and accepted the fact that the one-child policy could never be changed. It has been very hard for them since there are no contraceptives anywhere. We all know that some people find it hard to live without having s****l i*********e, but they slowly get the hang of it. As the days passed, their way of life began to return to normal. The happiness that they once had will never be the same, but some are still trying to move forward. Not that they do not want to, but they don’t have a choice. They should still look forward to the future of their one and only child. Although many people are beginning to feel better, there are still a few who are unable to move on. One of them is the Valentine family. Both parents of Adan Valentine ended their lives because of depression. He is a 15-year-old boy who is now living alone. Unlike his parents, Adan is a very strong-minded person. He easily moved on from what happened and forgot about his siblings that were sent away. Although he felt sad, that incident did not bring him down. Instead of mourning, he is thinking about ways to survive. He worked as a construction worker, a cashier, and had many part-time jobs. One day, while Adan was walking home, he fell down in the middle of the street due to extreme tiredness and exhaustion. One old lady found him and decided to take him with her. Adan woke up sleeping in someone else’s bed. He was shocked and shy. The old lady went to his room and talked to him. She explained everything that happened and how he got into her house. Adan was so grateful for what she did that he hugged her and cried. After hugging the old lady, he noticed that she was weak. The old woman said, "I have a favor to ask if it is okay with you. I am not asking for anything in return for the kindness that I did, so it is okay if you are not willing to do it. " Adan is so confused about what was happening, which made him speechless and just nod. The old woman continued talking. I am now very weak because I am suffering from cancer. According to the doctor, I only have a few days left to live. I have a daughter. She is now 14, almost the same age as you. I am asking a favor if you could take care of her as soon as I die. I have everything here. I have plenty of money and everything that you need. You can have it all, and the only thing that I am asking for is that you take care of my daughter and teach her to be independent. just like you. Because I was following you for several days, I know you live alone and that your parents died.I know that my daughter would be in good hands if she stayed with you. The old woman continued to cry and started to kneel and beg Adam. Adam stopped her from kneeling and he accepted the offer. As the days passed by, the old woman died. Adan fulfilled his promise and continued to live with the old woman’s daughter. Her name is Christine. Adan is very strict in teaching Christine the things that she needs to know in order to survive alone. Because of that, Christine grew into a strong, independent woman. As the two of them continued to live together, Christine slowly fell in love with Adan. One day, when Adan was teaching Christine some basic self-defense, Christine stepped on a rock and fell along with Adan to the floor. She stared at him for a few seconds and then started kissing Adan. Adan did not resist and kissed her back. All this time, he was just pretending to not feel anything about her. As they stood up, they both confessed how they felt about each other, and after how many months, they got married. Adan and Christine were married five years after their mother died of cancer.
