BELLA’S POV~
Victor was injured, my only escape from this nightmare lay injured at the side of the rock!
What should I do? I stood there transfixed, “Victor” I called loudly but it seemed he had been knocked out.
These rouges were blind thankfully, and from what I've quickly gathered in this maze run is that they relied on the smell of a weaker wolf to navigate.
But they weren't deaf, so slowly I walked over in Victor’s direction.
Hoping to God he didn't wake up, the rogue's nose drew closer and closer to him.
“Leave him! His kind is vile!” I heard Lydia thunder.
“I'm sorry but that's not going to happen, this evil freakshow is my only way out and so far your directional skills haven't been efficient” I replied out loud, and Victor groaned, I quickly covered his mouth as the rogue’s sharp noise suddenly pointed to his sound.
“Shhhhhh” I whispered before pointing at the rogues, he instantly pushed me off, and anger flashed in his eyes.
He got up before slowly sliding down, I offered to help him up but he waved me away.
But as he struggled he soon reached for me defeatedly and soon we were backing away slowly from the rogues.
He winced in pain as he relocated his knee back in place.
“How the hell did you find me? I thought I was dead, it was her” I mentioned.
He ignored my accusation with a stern face, his expression stone cold like the dead of night.
“My soldiers are close” he said briefly before pushing me off his arm again,
“hey I was just trying to help, no need to be an asshole” I stated in defence.
He looked at me, giving me a disgusted look before turning back to the maze.
“Where were you dropped from, the well or from the fridge?”
“Well, what do you mean a fridge, what the hell is this place” I inquired my eyes roaming ceaselessly.
“That doesn't concern you, you shouldn't be here, although you deserve whatever you did to get here,” he said.
I was instantly furious, “I didn't ask to be the rival of a jealous b***h you know”
His eyes shone red with anger, he grabbed my neck and raised me.
His arm began to transform, just like in my dream.
“Don't ever talk about Valerie in that tone again, don't make me kill you before your useless bloodline has produced me an heir, remember you are just a replacement, until that w***e sister of yours is found! Understood! I'll discard you like…..”
Before he could finish his vile words a rogue had grabbed him in its fangs.
He punched it repeatedly before it tumbled on the ground.
Victor leapt into the air, the beam of moonlight, like energetic flares fell on him and he transformed into his nightly wolf.
He landed on his ground, shaking the very core of the maze, the leaves around shook in the tremor of his power.
I felt my heart sink, and then it started to beat out of control.
It's true what they say, his wolf form was terrifying, his fur black as the night.
The rogues started to back away, he could feel his power drawn to bow before it, just like I was.
What was it about Victor that made every wolf submit to him, without a will to challenge him?
There was something, something very odd happening and even he didn't know it.
One of the rogues appeared from behind the other, it leapt, attacking Victor before both of them tumbled to the ground in fury.
Victor’s wolf slashed at him numerous times, bloodshed as he clawed at him angrily.
The other wolf stayed back, Victor growled at them before a third came out.
Victor snarled at them, daring them to come, with one snap of his teeth he broke the neck of the rogue in two.
The other rogues heard the snap and decided it best to stay away, one bowed low but the other wasnt satisfied by Victor’s show of strength.
Victor had not proven to be alpha, with his weakened knee he stood firm challenging them.
As he stood I saw his sides trickling with blood.
“You are hurt!” I cried pointing at his side but he growled at me and pushed me out of the way.
Why is he so stubborn?
“We need to go, Victor, this is not the time to play hero” I snarled back at him.
The sound of my terrified voice turned one of the rogues to me.
It lunged at me but Victor grabbed me just in time before we bolted.
When we were at a safe distance, we stopped panting heavily.
“These are your monstrosities! Get me out of here, Victor!” I managed to yell.
He looked at me amongst breaths, his eyes clouded with regret.
He looked down at my belly before he turned away.
“Do you owe him something?” I heard Lydia ask.
“Not right now” I replied internally.
I saw Victor’s knee-weakening before giving out under him and soon he was out like a light.
“Leave him, he is dead weight!”
“I can't if they find him dead I'll be next! I just can't” I replied internally.
“So what do you plan to do tell me, you are going to get us killed”
I had to think of something to save Victor and me.
How did Amber find me so fast, how were these rogues able to find me so fast?
What was it? What are they drawn to?
My hands started to glow, “Lydia are you doing this?” I asked as panic set in.
“No!” she replied, my hands glowed and soon the rogues had set on me.
Blind they were but anyone could see something wasn't right.
My hands got brighter and brighter, and soon the entire underground looked like the sun had risen there.
The rogues howled frantically, their dilated eyes suddenly narrowed.
there was a low howl of relief as they all transformed back to their human form.
Confused, they started to roam around, aimlessly walking into the maze.
Victor groaned as he came to.
“What the hell was that? Did you see who that was?” he asked, sitting up by the hedge of the bush maze.
“Who? I don't understand” I asked, pretending not to understand.
“There’s a Wiccan down here, everyone in Fellwood forest knows Wiccans are not allowed here, but someone decided to test me,” he said groaning as he got up.
“When I find her, I'll murder her with my bare hands”
I gulped in fear, what does this mean for me?
What am I? wolf, a Reincarnated spirit seeking revenge or a Wiccan?
