SHE'S OUT
BELLA FROST POV~
“Run Lydia Run! He is here!”
In a fit of panic, I hit the candle on my dresser. The fire poured all over my bedding, and soon, my room caught fire.
“s**t!” I cursed, ran out of the room and as I did my eyes caught the mirror.
Who the hell was that? That wasn't me staring back.
I ran out into the woods as I heard shots of arrows fly past my head, one flew close enough to hit me.
I hissed in pain, it was a silver arrow, am I being chased by hunters? But why do I also hear wolves chasing me?
My entire body swelled with fright, and I saw myself start to transform, my fur fiery red like the crimson moon.
my claws…..
“Hey wake up!” I heard a loud clanging on metal and I woke up from my slumber, it was all a dream? Why did it feel so real?
“Inmate! Wake up!” I heard the guard yell, her voice irritatingly displeasing.
I growled in disgust and sat up on my bed, “get up, you are free to go” she said.
I turned swiftly to look at her, shocked by this news I just heard.
“What?”
The door to the cell opened and she motioned for me to come out, I'd been in solitary confinement for a while now, lord knows Sydney Beckler from cell 3 was asking for it all week.
With 2 eyes and Christy gone, things had been a little sour finding new friends.
The prison can be a dangerous place.
“Follow me,” she mentioned, she walked ahead and I followed closely and soon we reached the office of the prison Warder, Emily Vancliff.
The guard closed the door behind her as she left, “have a seat Miss Frost” she gestured in a dry tone, she looked upset, her golden hair sprawled perfectly down her shoulders.
“I think they’ve got it all mixed up, the guard said…”
“I know what the guard said” she snickered hatefully, “Before you were sent here you signed a deal with the court, well it's coming in handy right now.
Sign this and you are free to go” She banged a pen on the table and pointed at me to sign the paper.
“But….?” I inquired looking at the dotted lines.
She sprang up, banged the table and pointed her crooked old fingers at me,
“I've worked at this prison for many years MissFrost! Many s**t years and never have I met someone as irritatingly rebellious as you are, you have managed to annoy every prison in the state and no one will have you! So!” she exclaimed before tapping the papers, her eyes bloodshot red.
“Sign it!” she screeched, sensing the hesitation in my voice and she yelled again “Sign the damned papers miss frost before I have you whipped and dragged out!”
The threat in her voice was too real to leave to chance, I signed the papers quickly and I saw that it loosened up her nerves.
“Good, you are free to go, the guard will explain and hand you your placement papers before you leave” she mentioned before motioning for me to leave.
I was confused, free to go?
But I still have 3 more years on my sentence, and I planned to use it well on Sydney Beckler and her band of friends.
Too bad, it would have been fun.
As we walked on the guard handed me the clothes I came in with and a paper on top.
“This is your placement paper, you are going to serve out the rest of your sentence at the Hope Harbor Goodwill Foundation in Oakfield City, any violation of the stipulated agreement and you get sent to max! Do not lose it!” she announced before pushing me out of the gate.
I turned and looked back, finally free, the heavy gates I had entered as a heartbroken and confused girl now looked bleak and shallow.
I flipped my middle finger and stuck my tongue out “Bella out!” I yelled before turning to leave.
I heard a car honk madly behind me, “Bella!” I saw my friend 2 eyes behind the wheel, Christy stuck her head out of the window screaming my name.
Excited to see them again, I embraced them fondly.
“the prison called us to come to get you, seems we are gonna be co-workers, they got tired of you too huh” 2 eyes grinned.
“Yeah, I don't even know what that’s about” I stated before looking at the paper in my hand.
“Better to show you,” Christy smiled.
A few hours later I was back in Oakfield City, my childhood home.
Every memory of it, of Fellwood forest, my family, I don't want to think about it and now I have no choice but to work here.
As I stepped in I was shown around and assigned my locker.
I was introduced to everyone and I soon learned who is in charge.
COO Valerie Ashbourne.
“Always clock in and clock out, if not the days you miss get sent to the judge, if you miss 3 days in a month they come back and take you to the max,” Christy explained.
This was no easy feat, but it was a task nonetheless.
It was a crowded place, so much neediness in one room, people looked depressed and marooned in it.
Valerie walked in, and I swear I've never seen a goddess so Divine.
She was the most beautiful woman I'd seen since I got out, her skin shone under the white fluorescent light and her lips, red rouge curved in a perfect smile.
I passed the soup to the frail old man in front of me as she approached him with a warm smile.
A whiff of her perfume sent me weak with jealousy and my shaky hands gave way, the soup poured all over her cream-coloured top.
Everyone gasped in horror and her face sank.
“s**t!” I cursed, “I'm so sorry Ma'am”
Everyone gasped again, and I knew it worsened my predicament.
She smiled and gestured to everyone to go about their business, “she’s new here” she mentioned before staring at me and I knew her soul was dark.
“It's Miss Ashbourne, not ma'am, you are?” she inquired leaning in.
“No one Miss Ashbourne, an ex-convict from the Save a Sinner project” the manager retorted.
“You look oddly familiar” she added before giving me an inquisitive stare, “I'll send you a friendly package soon” Valerie smiled again before disappearing into the crowd.
The manager glared at me, her eyes prowling mine.
“Watch yourself or there won't be saving next time!” with that she walked away.
“You are stained!” 2 eyes exclaimed pointing at my shirt.
“Take a left and you’ll get to the laundry, speak to whoever is in charge and they’ll get you sorted out” she mentioned.
I set out, and I almost reached when my Wolf senses picked up sounds coming from 2 men.
I moved closer and that’s when I heard their conversations.
“ Hear about his new escapades?, he slaughtered Half of the Alpha lord’s forces close to north Fellwood” one started before chuckling.
“his legitimacy is at stake now that his mate rejected him, the alpha lord has gone into full-on panic mode, serves him right”
“Silas BlackFur wasn't bluffing when he said he was coming for him, the Alpha is starting to lose his grip, and now he is searching for the scarlet wolf” the other continued.
The scarlet wolf?
But everyone knows she’s a myth.
Why is The alpha lord searching for her?
I stepped back in fright and that’s when I realized, this was no ordinary foundation.
If werewolves are involved that means something more sinister is afoot.
"Hey, you!" I heard from behind, as I turned a hard slap landed on my cheek I staggered backwards, and two women approached me and before I knew it I was having the living crap beaten out of me.
"courtesy of Miss Valerie Ashbourne, watch yourself" they announced before leaving.
I groaned in pain as I tried to get myself up from the floor, I could sense earlier that she wasn't going to let it go.
I checked the time, "s**t! I need to clock out" I started to run down the hallway but then I ran into someone.
I looked up, and to my surprise, I saw him standing there, his hair tied in a bun.
"Who the hell let you in here?" I gasped, my eyes narrowed with hatred, instantly tasting disgust in my mouth.
I was looking at the bastard who sent me to prison, Victor Harrison the third
