"Ma'am, may I go to the CR?" this is the third time Risa has asked permission, and their Physics teacher, ma'am Sagarino, is not budging. "Please ma'am, my bladder's going to burst" she cried, as she's crossing her legs and fidgeting up and down. Her classmates started giggling, as this wasn't the first time Risa had announced her bladder situation. Ma'am Sagarino stared at her for a while, and all Risa could think was, this is not about her pee anymore, something else is happening down there. "Miss Rosario, I am well aware of your bladder situation, what is it with kids these days, that they just want to go out in the middle of discussion." "Ma'am, please, may I go to the CR?" once again, Risa cannot contain it anymore and starts crying. "Are you crying now, Miss Rosario? Hay nako! Okay you may go, but I don't want to see you in the canteen ha!" at last, Risa sprinted to the comfort room and relieved herself. You see, next week will be their final exam, and next month will be their graduation. 'She cannot keep doing this to students, we're graduating already for f***s sake!' is all she can think of whilst sitting down, and as she stared at the stain of blood in her underwear, 'this cannot be happening?' Risa is convinced the universe is out to get her today, and Ma'am Sagarino is the tip of the iceberg. "Risa, can we talk?" Dexter, Risa's boyfriend and the first to take her virginity, one summer night at the school's camping program. "Sure, Dex. I missed you. We haven't hung out this week." Risa was ecstatic! They've just finished their review for their final exam, and finally, a breather. Risa tried to kiss Dexter on the lips, but he swiftly moved his gaze to the Acacia tree, whose leaves were swinging with the wind. "What's wrong Dex?" asked Risa, fixating on his eyes. "Nothing, I just want to talk now." He firmly said with a very serious tone, "Let's break up." Risa was stunned. Dexter was always her guy. After all, he was her first in everything. "What do you mean 'let's break up'? Why so suddenly?" She was visibly confused, but Dexter gave little to no explanation and just walked away. Risa tried to talk again, but it seemed that Dexter had made up his mind. Risa cannot believe this! Her period started, and her boyfriend broke up with her on the same day! This could not get any worse. "Last call for students inside their classrooms, kindly vacate the area so we can now start sanitizing our campus." only a handful of students are left inside, but Risa cannot move an inch from where she is sitting. "Risa, let's go now!" Jean is Risa's high school best friend and neighbor. "Oh, right." Risa started to pack her things, but she seemed to zone out, causing her to drop all of her belongings. "Risa! What's gotten into you?" Jean sprinted to Risa's side and picked up her stuff, "Dexter broke up with me. So suddenly." She cannot hold it anymore, she has to tell Jean at the very least, after all, Jean is the only friend she ever has. "I can't imagine you without Dext--" "The thing is, Jean, I haven't got my period." "What do you mean, you haven't had your period? You told me there was a stain of blood in your underwear?" "Yeah, but it wasn't much, just a dash of blood." "Oh. My. God. Are you pregnant?!" Jean cannot believe this, and Risa cannot believe it, either. She wants to finish school and graduate with honors, but she definitely cannot tell her mother this news. "Jean, don't say anything to anyone yet. I have to take the final exam first. My period might just be late." "It better be!"
