Right across the street a black Benz pulled up, where to miss? A handsome face asked ,Sunflower street 137 waiting on a cab though. Let me take you home he suggested no thanks ,getting a cab here is laborious I bet you will stand here for long . Okay I give up , reluctantly joining him .

The guy in question was very handsome , he had beautiful eyes and a warming smile as well. I’m Alex by the way you’re ? Sika nice meeting you . The drive was quiet, one could hear a pin fall . I could see him stare at me with the corner of his eyes , which made me uneasy.

As we approached my house I thanked him and was about getting out ,when he took my hand and kissed it ,this got me startled. I smiled wryly moving away to the gate at full tilt.

My girls had been lately occupied with work , making it strenuous to meet up occasionally ,we barely even texted like before. I guess that’s what came with work and it’s acquaintance . I texted in our group chat to check if everyone was doing well, with a stroke of luck they happened to be online so we worded for sometime and scheduled to hangout on Monday after work.

Still with thoughts of the handsome guy I met earlier i blushed, we didn’t even exchange contacts which was unnatural but all the same it was good he brought me home . A few minutes it started raining cats and dogs . I had to sleep before time knowing that I could oversleep which will eat into waking up early for work tomorrow .

Besides my first day at work has to be imposing.

Monday came sooner , making way to work I meet a few gaze of hi and who’s she , I knew I was looking good no complaints needed , because on like any other day I took time to dress up. The environment I must say made the work worth thriving for. I made a few friends easily, most workers here seemed friendly and easy going. This made me feel as though I had been there for long .

It was 12pm time for lunch, Aba a friend I had made walked with me to the cafeteria. Daniel the ( CEO ) walked in to grab something for himself , which I found quite unusual, according to Aba he has a PA who sees to all this and was wondering how come he came here himself today.

I could see how girls were looking in his direction constantly eyeing him , one girl even moved to him to hold his items but he politely refused. We were engaged in our food not realizing when he got to our table, and sat across.

Can I not sit with my workers he smiled , seeing how surprised we were ,well I want you in my office after here, there’s something I need to discuss with you then he left .

Aba look steadily at me , this is weird girl he has never and I repeat never joined anyone on a table here before not even with his rank colleagues. Why couldn’t he reach to your phone or email but walk all the way here . How am I supposed to know girl ? I think it must be urgent , I hope so if not he’s definitely hitting on you . Don’t even go there , I just got here don’t conclude yet . I will be here for the after details she joked.

I have been working here for long, so believe me when I say there’s more to it . Okay!! rising up to my feet.

“Knock knock “ come in Sika as though expecting no one else. Make yourself comfortable, i choose to sit a little away from him . His presence had an effect on me ,

Me: you wanted to see me please

Daniel: Yes about that , my PA had an emergency her mum is very ill, she needs to attend to her . I have given her some days off meaning I’ll need a replacement of her.

Me: Okay

Daniel: I know you just got here but I will want you to replace her for the time being . She will forward my schedules to you so you take it from there . Is that fine with you ?

Me: *Stammering* erm erm yes please

Daniel: That will be all

Excusing myself he asked me to pick up a file from the Marketing office to me , that’s the office next he said. I got back in a few minutes to handover the file , whiles taking it from me our hands touched and for sometime we kept looking at each other. I could feel butterflies in my stomach, warming up to his touch.
