Chapter 1 Reaching to the table besides my bed to take the phone ,check time and view Elma’s story as usual. Lately i had been keenly following her i********: feed . After Alby told me Elma had gotten a millionaire boyfriend, I didn’t miss a day on her page . Wondering to myself when i will also have someone just like Elma’s . I have never been in a successful relationship ,not even for a year.Well let’s see what time has to offer ,i hurriedly got up from bed to perform my chores before Mum scolds me . I sometimes wonder if mum was ever young like me ,she barks at the minuscule things I do. Having finished ,I brushed my teeth wore my favorite black dress and flipped into my white sneakers. Checking the time it was 8am , Shekel and I had decided to meet at baker’s to grab a cup of coffee and have a little chitchat since it’s been awhile we met up. Alby and Shekel were friends I made from high school ,we were a total of eight friends I remember how silly we were wayback Having each other’s back and fighting at the slightest misunderstanding we had . High school was indeed interesting with these girls I waited my turn got 2cups of coffee with toasted bread and chicken nuggets to go with whiles waiting on Shekel. After a while she showed up waving at me , when would this girl ever wear skirt i said smirking. After talking for sometime we decided to part ways. We exited the restaurant, on our way Shekel told me about how a random good looking guy messaged her on i********: wanting to get to know her better. You don’t ever get tired do you ? I questioned her and we both laughed … how many times have we gone through this? Seriously girl I’m just tired of relationships already, meeting people and they leaving you when you felt like that was it. Shekel answered well that’s true but don’t give up on love already. We parted ways, my phone kept buzzing with notifications what at all is going on . I opened the first message that was from Vero (Also a friend from high school) i stupefied. It was a picture of Felix and a girl on a vacation somewhere in Jamaica. Astonished ,I walked hurriedly home to digest what I had just seen ,a car passing by splashed water leaving me drenched up. Angrily yelling are you f***king blind the guy pulled over and said sorry Miss it wasn’t intentional. I ignored him and went away, i was already dealing with an emotional shock and this dude just made it worse . Daniels POV I was listening to my favorite song of Davido going across Aburi to see Ciara my best friend at her newly opened restaurant when I noticed there was a pool of water at the side of the road that I had to dodge but ended up I splashing water on a girl walking right on side of the pavement. Oh my she’s so beautiful and attractive I wonder why she’s walking so briskly I got out and tried to apologize but she was walking away cursing and yelling at me . Well she has every right to but at least I tried to pretext . I got back into the car and drove off , upon entering i see Ciara right at the entrance ..she run towards my direction to hug me Silly what kept you long well I had a little incident I had to take care of .What matters is I’m still here silly . Ciara grinned saying whatever, what do I get you ? Anything sumptuous i will enjoy, and recommend to my colleagues at work as well ..I replied And what’s that supposed to mean you very well know everything here is sumptuous. Get me everything then we both laughed. Ciara and I had been best friends since childhood,some thought we were dating but honestly we both had no feelings whatsoever for each other .We were just like siblings and so the world could say whatever they wanted in their suit .
