CHAPTER TWO

FLASHBACK(TWO YEARS AGO)

LILIAN'S pov

It was my birthday morning and I just woke up. Darling happy birthday. I heard Lisa and Nora screaming. I was so happy they remembered. We celebrated it, I cut the cake and so we ate and they both gave me the present they got for me. After that I took my bath and hurried to work. On my way to work I saw a text from my dad wishing me a happy birthday. I smiled and then I saw the money he sent me. I checked the time and it was already nine o'clock and today is my first day. Jeez am late. I grabbed some coffee in the shop down my office building. I was in a hurry , I wasn't looking so I bumped into someone then the coffee slipped on his clothes. I apologized and rushed to the office. I really didn't mean it but I was just in a hurry to go to the office. I had to apologize and rush out leaving him there. I just prayed that I won't see him again. I punched in and rushed to the elevator. I saw one of VVIP and one other one that nothing was written on. I went for the other one but I saw that it was filled up. So I decided to enter the VVIP. When I got there I saw the lady who interviewed me and some other people standing there. I was thinking they came to greet me. You guys didn't have to worry I would have come up by myself I said. Then I saw the elevator open and I saw the man I slipped coffee on and an older man. I was so shocked when I heard the greeting him. Good morning Mr. President, good morning vice president.

RAYMOND'S POV

I woke up in the morning and was planning to go out with my guys, when my dad came and told me that I must follow him to work today. I refused and he said he was going to freeze my account. My hands were tied and I decided to go with the flow. I was very angry so I didn't eat anything on my way to work. I decided to grab something from the shop at the bottom of our office. Then someone slipped coffee on me. Before I could lash my frustration on her she was nowhere to be found. My dad and I decided to enter the elevator and saw that it was in use. So we entered the regular employee elevator. Who would dare use my elevator said my Dad. By the time the elevator stopped the first person I saw was that girl that slipped coffee on me. So who used my elevator said my Dad. The secretary replied that it was the newcomer. Because of what she did in the morning I opened my mouth and words came out. You are fired.

LILIAN'S POV

What? I entered the CEO's private elevator. On my first day I was fired. I just knelt down and started pleading. The secretary told me to go meet the vice president. I went there and he looked at me and he began to laugh. So after you slipped coffee on me, you left me there just said sorry that you didn't even mean. He said . Sir I am so sorry. I didn't mean to, please forgive me sir. I can't get fired on my first day. Ok, I heard him say . The only way I will allow you to stay in this office is only when you work as my secretary. Ok sir. I said without thinking. Go get me black coffee right now. I heard him fired. I rushed out to buy the coffee. When I came back he told me why there isn't any sugar inside. So he spilled the coffee on my dress and told me to buy a new one. I left and came back with another coffee. He tasted it and he threw it in the waste bill. I went to and fro buying coffee. If it was the company's money, I wouldn't complain but it was my personal money. After my sixth attempt, he told me he is now satisfied with the revenge plan. He just wanted to make me suffer. Throughout the afternoon I stayed in the office doing nothing. I was surprised he didn't call me. Until it was four o'clock which was the closing time. I was putting my things in order when I heard the vice president called the telephone on my desk. I answered and he told me to come to his office.

RAYMOND'S POV

I hate this office. I hated coming to the office. So I wanted to vent on someone, so I waited for it to be four o'clock. I then called my secretary. She came to my office immediately. Sir you sent for me, I heard her speak. I lowered my head on my laptop pretending to be busy. Sir she called again, I waved her to wait. After I finished my pretentious work, I said "you need to work overtime tonight" . What??? I heard her ask. I am your boss and I said so. Take this document and start arranging them. When you are done come for more. As a matter of fact sit across from me. I want to watch you doing it. She looked confused then she sat down. We continue the work till nine thirty. Then I dismissed her. She hurriedly left. I called my driver to come pick me up. On my way home I saw her standing there like she could find a taxi. I told my driver to drive at a speed that I feel sleepy. I was very satisfied with today's actions. I succeeded in frustrating her. I got home had dinner and slept off.

LILIAN'S POV

After a long day, I stood there looking for a taxi but I didn't see any. Then I saw my boss's car. I was busy thinking he was going to ask me to come inside. But He just drove past like he didn't see anybody that wasn't surprising. I received a call from Lisa and I told her to please come pick me up. She told me she was on her way. I sighed saying, I hated this boss. Lisa came with a taxi and we drove home.
