CHAPTER THREE

FLASHBACK CONTINUES

LILIAN'S POV

Lilian wake up or you will be late for work. Oh my God I am late. I quickly freshened up and left without having breakfast. I got to the office by nine thirty. I saw my boss staring at me. He just told me to hurry up and enter the car. When I entered, I then asked him where we were going. He said we were going for a business deal. After a long journey we got to a classy restaurant and then he discussed with a man who I think is a bit older than him. After about seven hours they were done and we decided to go back to the office. On our way to the office, I felt very dizzy but I still endured. I forgot I haven't eaten anything since morning. But even at that I am not supposed to feel this much pain. We got to the office, and when I came out of his car I felt dizzy, I couldn't stand still, I didn't know when there was a blackout and I fainted

RAYMOND'S POV

After a stressful day with my client. We got to the office, I didn't know what was happening the next thing I saw was that my secretary was on the ground. I was in shock. I picked her up and rushed to my car. Then I drove to the hospital. I got there, they ran a test on her and the doctor asked me if she hadn't eaten. I replied saying I didn't know. How can you say that . So you are trying to tell me that your girlfriend hasn't eaten, she has low sugar and is on her period and you have no idea. How can you call yourself her boyfriend. I heard the doctor saying. Ma please don't misjudge. She is my employee,my secretary. She then apologized and told me to buy something for Lilian to eat. I went out and got some food. In my heart , I really cursed my luck for meeting someone like her that always makes trouble. When I went into her ward, I saw that she was still unconscious. I sat down waiting for her to wake up. I received a call from an important client but I had to turn him down. Because I felt it was my responsibility to take care of her. After three hours she woke up.

LILIAN'S POV

I opened my eyes slowly and I saw him, he was staring at me like he wanted to kill me. Why do you like giving me troubles, you didn't eat and you had to faint in front of me. He said. Am sorry sir I didn't mean it. He gave me the food he got and gave me a sanitary pad. I felt very embarrassed. Eat and put yourself in order let's go. I had to do everything fast. After I was done , he dropped me at my place. I thanked him and left. When I got inside the house, I saw Lisa and Nora eating snacks and watching movies. You are back? I heard them saying. I started crying and they came to me asking me what happened. I told them everything and how I felt embarrassed. They hugged me and we got drunk together and then we slept off. Why? Why me . Again, I didn't wake up early the next day. I stood up from the bed and a call came in . I took the call and I heard from the other end that the boss has asked for a leave for me. I was happy. But I just hope he won't cut it from my salary because I am just two days old in the company and am already asking for a leave. I spent the whole day watching movies and sleeping. The next day I went to work very early by seven thirty. When I arrived I punched in and not long my boss came to work. He called me to the office. I remember two days ago you stressed me a lot. So today you are going to start paying for it till I am satisfied. Am I understood?said Raymond. Yes sir. For two weeks now I have been running and working like a horse. This is really torture. No rest at all everyday I work overtime. And yet I have not fully paid him. He is so petty.

RAYMOND'S POV

I really don't know why I am treating her like this. But anyways it's going to end today. When I was done with work, I was leaving the office when I saw that she was peacefully sleeping on her desk. I couldn't help looking at her. Wow she is beautiful. I heard myself say. Raymond Smith stop having these things in your head. Nothing can happen between the both of you. You are just lust in her appearance . I said to myself. I felt pity for her. Because I had stressed her too much. I ordered midnight snacks so that she will eat when she wakes up. I was busy staring and admiring her beauty when she woke up and our eyes met. She felt shy and raised her head. By chance our lips met and we stayed in that position for about two minutes. I heard my heart beating fast and I didn't know what to do. I was shy. Then I decided to break free. And after that she ran to where God knows where. I sat there thinking about what just happened. I touched my lips and smiled. I truly hope I am not falling for this girl. I smiled like a fool while thinking of what just happened.

LILIAN'S POV

I opened my eyes and saw Raymond looking at me with some kind of fulfillment in his eyes. I raised my head and our mouth met . I didn't know what to do by then. After sometime he broke free. I was ashamed and I ran to the restroom. What just happened? How can I kiss my boss? How can I face him? I just want the ground to open and swallow me.
