Chapter 1: A New Song Written
Sunday, 16th December 201x
White room, white sheets, white floors, everything was white. White walls filled with glistening white bookshelves, book spines only provided her with colours.
Her room consisted of bookshelves, wardrobe and a black piano in the corner. She sat on the window cell, looking out of the window. It had stopped snowing.
She stood up and decided to go out for today. Wearing a simple dress with black coat and winter boots, she placed her phone in her bag and left.
She greeted her parents, who ignored her. She felt a bit bad but she was used to their treatment. She took her keys and closed the door behind her with a sigh. Looking up at the sky, she smiled a bit.
She entered the coffee shop near her university when someone bumped into her and spilled the hot coffee on her jacket. The person apologized and ask her if he can do something for her but she just said that it is okay.
The person apologized again and left, she sighed and ordered her coffee. Paying for the coffee, she felt a pair of cold hands covering her eyes. Flinching at the touched, she look behind to see fer friends. A small smile crept on her lips and picked up the coffee and left with her friends.
Sipping her coffee, she chatted with her friends as they walked towards the park. Looking around, she found herself mesmerised by the pianos placed inside the shop.
"Why don't you go inside?"
Her friend Lynn asked her. She looked at Lynn and then back at the shop. Taking a deep breath, she answered
"Well, I have no reason to play one right now."
She smiled softly at the sight of the pianos.
" I wanna hear you play it and sing too."
Her another friend, Joanne said. With that, Lynn and Joanne dragged her inside the shop. Entering the shop, a lady smiled at them and asked them
" Welcome, what are you kids looking for?"
"We are looking for a free piano just to play for a while. Well , you see my friend is talented singer and talented piano player. We found her looking at the piano so we decided to bring her in." Lynn answered with that she answered in a soft voice.
"If you don't mind..." the lady smiled at them and shook her head. Leading them towards placed at the very back of the shop.
"I won't mind if you sing a song for me and your friends." the kind lady said as she sat on the empty chair placed near the piano.
She looked at the piano and a small soft smile grew on her face as she sat on the stool. Opening the cover of the keys, she placed her fingers to familiarise with keys. She started to play with the keys and then started to sing.
'So are you happy now
Finally happy now are you
I’m the same
I think I’ve lost it all
Everything comes on it’s own and leaves without a goodbye
At this rate, I don’t want to love anything
I’m taking a trip through the memories
That are almost all worn out
Under the orange sun
We’re dancing without a shadow
There’s no decided goodbye
Let’s meet in the beautiful memories
Forever young
Woo
Forever we young
Woo
If this is a nightmare, I don’t wanna wake up'
Her voice was very soothing and calming. Her emotions played with the lyrics and the rhythm of the song.
Soon she stopped and loud claps were heard. Her ears perked up at sound and looked at the group of people who stood ahead of the piano, whispering praises. Her cheeks turned pink and she thanked everyone for listening.
The lady walked towards her and hugged her. She whispered a few words in her ear and her eyes widened. Soon the lady broke the hug and she thanked her for listening. A small smile played on the girls lips and the lady smiled back at her.

She looked at the time on her phone. "3 pm". She sighed at herself and walked home. Hearing the laughter coming from inside the house, her heart broke. Taking a deep breath, she walked inside.
The laughter stopped has she entered in the house. Looking at the people who sat on the couch broke her heart even more. Her parents and her adopted sister and her ex-boyfriend. Even though, she's the real daughter of her parents, they never admitted her as one.
The adopted sister had everything she ever wanted but never got it. The only person who loved her was her grandfather. Her ex-boyfriend was in love with her adopted sister.
She greeted everyone, only to hear whispers of hatred. Walking up the stairs, she could only calm herself down, mumbling to herself to stop crying.
Freshening up, she sat on the window sill with a book and a pen. Penning down her feelings, she wrote down a new song.
The soft showers of rain took her mind away from her thoughts as she looked out, listening to the rhythm of rain, soon she fell asleep.
Little did she know the person, looking at her, softly smiled and mumbled a small 'don't be sad anymore'
He looked at her and kept on smiling. He found her in the end but he knew she doesn't remember him anymore. An incident which broke them apart, he was going to heal it and make her believe in love again.
"Dad where are you?"
Hearing his son's voice, he opened the door and called him up.
"Come here. You always wanted to see your mom right? There she is. Looking same as the time I met her.
His son frantically climbed the stairs and ran to his dad. Looking outside the window and seeing his mom. He couldn't believe the lady who was smiled in the pictures his dad showed him looked way more beautiful in real life.
Standing on the window sill, he looked at his mom happily and then looked at his dad.
"Dad, will we meet mom? I want to meet her"
His dad looked at him and softly smiled, while ruffling his son's hair.
"Yes, we will meet her but we need to eliminate the people who are harming her"
His son nodded and went back to look at his mom, sleeping on the window sill.
How good would it be,
If she realizes the child she thought she lost 5 years ago,
And became her worst memory which haunts her still.
Is alive and is waiting to reunite with her.
