Chapter 12

Lily POV

Calvin gently woke me up said, "Ashton said wear something warm." I quickly got dressed and grabbed my backpack and left the room. I went towards the front door and saw Ashton waiting. I hugged Calvin and kissed him goodbye. Then followed Ashton towards a clearing and saw Blayne in dragon form. I stopped short and bowed my head then I linked him saying, "Hello, Dace. May I ask who am I riding, you?" I showed my respect to the dragon he bowed his head and moved his wing down and he said, "your welcome hop on little one." "Lily, you're a natural. We didn't have to tell you to show respect and wait for command." Ashton said. I smiled as I got settled. "Hold on little one. We are going to take off so Ashton can let Kia out." Dace said through the link.

I got a good hold on Dace and he started to flap his wings and then we were off the ground. A few moments later a black and green dragon joined us. "Hello little one. It's nice to finally meet you." Kai linked. "Well it's nice to meet you too Kai." I said back. Then I yawned. "Here in a little bit you can rest. Sorry, we had to leave early Lily. But this was the only time for our dragon to fly without being seen." Blayne said. "Your fine. I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention to Dace's color. What color are you, Dace?" I asked. "Well little one I'm black, red, and have a little blue. Now hold on tight strong winds coming." Dace said. I held on tight to Dace. Then everything went black.

Blayne POV

Once she approached Dace she bowed and linked asking for permission. I was happy because she knew our ways. Once she was on she started to talk and Dace kept saying 'little one' which she didn't mind. We were close to our portal when Dace told Lily to hang on. She did and once we passed through I felt her link closeup. "little one passed out." Kai said. "That was expected because she's not a full dragon" I replied. We were in the dragon realm now.

Clear blue skies and no worry about people finding us. "Where are we going first? I don't want many dragons to see little one before she wakes up." Dace asked. "Take her to elder Blue. He lives away from evryone. Also he can test her." I relied. We flew close to the river and eventually landed outside of the elders house. Kai landed first and transformed into Ashton then Dace landed. Ashton quickly took Lily off and Dace let me transform back. Ash handed me Lily and we walked up to elder Blues house.

"Hello king. Have you found the wielder of the mark?" he asked while letting us inside. "Yes, but we went through the portal and she passed out. We didn't want anyone to see her until she wakes up. Also we were wondering if you could test her blood to see truly what she is." I explained. I placed Lily on a spare bed. "Ya that's fine get her arm ready." Blue said. He drew blood and tested it. He looked shocked and said, "In my thousand of years never have I ever seen this."

Lily POV

I woke up and I was laying on a bed. I could feel Blayne and Asthon being worried. "Did someone die?" I asked That's when I noticed another presence in the room. They all looked at me with surprised looks on their faces. 'It's because of the other being inside you.' Kira said. 'What are you talking about?' 'Well back when you were ten. Your parents did a number on your back. The reason is because a dragon starts to show at ten. Your scales and a little bit of your wings were coming out. That's why it hurt when a dragon touched your back. You have a dragon that is slowly dying. Her name is Amber. You can live with both of us but Amber will use a lot of your strength. That's if you fully transform but they can teach you other ways.' Kira explained.

"Lily are you alright?" Blayne asked. "Sorry, I was talking with Kira. Now what about my dying dragon?" They looked confused that I knew what was going on. "Kira told me when I was ten the reason my parents did a number on my back was because my scales and a little bit of my wings were showing. They tried to kill my dragon. Well they weakened her. Then when I turned fourteen the new alpha did the same thing and that's when I couldn't take it and left. Kira says that I can live with both Amber and herself, the only issue is that I can't turn into a full dragon or I will pass out. But Amber is dying. What can we do to save her?" I asked.

"Well the only way to save a dying dragon is to inject this serum into them. If we go through with this since your dragon hasn't fully developed its going to hurt." The old guy said. "I want her inside the castle walls before we give her that. At least she's protected and we can watch over her." Blayne said. "That's fine I will follow and I can get her set up and come by to check on her through her stay." The old man said. "Alright let's go save a dragon." Ashton blurted out. I got up and Blayne shifted to Dace. "Hop on Little one. Hopefully we can save your dragon." He said. "Thank you Dace and I have high hopes that we will save Amber." I said.

He took off followed by Kai and the old man. "You really can't wait to talk with your dragon little one." Kai said. I laughed. "Why do you guys call me little one?" "It's our nickname for you. Since you will only be able to use some features of your dragon it fits." Dace said. "Dace watch out crazy lady on your left. Quickly hop off so Blayne can deal with this one little one." Kai said. I didn't argue I quickly got off Dace and all three men quickly shifted back into their human forms. Then before I could ask what they are talking about two girls approached the men, I was forced behind the men. I was able to look around the men and then I saw a glimpse of a girl behind the two other girls. She looked sad and she was looking down. I noticed that she was hardly wearing anything and she had a collar around her neck.

"What did I tell you about buying slaves, Ashley. I forbid it and it's cruel!" Blayne yelled. "She's my helper. What about that thing?" The main girl questioned me about the discus. "My name is Lily and I'm not a thing." I spoke up. the girl growled at me. "Ashley, she's royalty, show some respect. Also, leave my sight. I don't want to see you anymore." Blayne said. Ashley grabbed the slave girl and pushed her off the ledge of the cliff. Before anyone could do anything Kira took over and shifted. Then she jumped off the cliff and grabbed the girl and pulled her onto our back. Then I noticed that she was watching the cliff and saw the ridges. We were able to land on one of the ledges. We used that to our advantage to get back to the top of the cliff. Once we got up to the top the girl had already passed out and Kira let me take control over again. That's when I laid the girl down on the ground and sat down in my human form trying to process everything.

Blayne came over to me and I said, "Please check the girl." I managed to say. He walked over to the girl and I got up and walked over to this Ashley girl. "Now you listen here. Listen to your king and don't push people off the cliff. Now leave before I rip your head off." She and her friend immediately left. Blayne had the slave girl in his arms. "Follow me." He said. We walked to a castle and I heard whistles and I tuned them out. Once inside Blayne looked at Ashton and the old man. "Can you two get Lily ready. I will be right there. I have to take this girl to a room." Ashton and the old man began walking in a different direction than Blayne. "She's fine Lily. Actually, thanks to you I found Dace's Mate." Blayne said in the link. I followed Ashton to a huge room. "Change into pjs and come back and get comfortable on the bed. I have to get my equipment." The old man said. Ashton handed me my bag. "Suggestion, wear a sports bra and shorts. The bathroom is right through that door." I walked into the bathroom and got into shorts and a sports bra. I walked out of the bathroom and laid down on the bed. It was soft and comfortable. The old man walked back in the room with Blayne. "Drink this." Blayne said, handing me a glass of orange liquid. I drank it and felt dizzy and numb. "Sorry. It helps with the pain. Don't worry I will call Calvin and tell him we made it safe. Relax and I will see you when you wake up." Then I fell asleep.

Blayne POV

After Lily fell asleep Elder Blue injected her with the healing serum. Then he hooked her up to his machines. "She's doing well. Give her about a week then train her." "When will she wake up?" I asked. "About two days if everything goes well." He said. "If not?" Ashton asked. "A week but no longer. I will be back later." With that Elder Blue left. Both Ash and I sat on Lily's bed. "How's the girl?" Ash asked. "Good she should be waking up. Also Dace says she's his mate." "Why don't you go and talk with her. I will stay here with Lily to make sure she's alright." I nodded and left the room.

I got to the girls room and she was still asleep. I sat down on a chair and pulled out Lily's phone. I called Calvin. "Lily are you alright? Did you make it?" One worried Calvin asked. "Calvin calm down its not Lily, its Blayne. Lily passed out when we crossed over. She is fine, but we need to extend our week to another one." "So you are keeping my mate for two whole weeks?" He kinda sounded mad. "Yes" I replied and I looked over at the girl and she was waking up. "Okay that's fine. When Lily wakes up please have her call me." "Can do, bye." I hung up the phone and watched the girl wake up. Once her eyes found mine she quickly got up and looked down at her hands. "Hey what is your name?" I asked softly. "I'm just a slave it doesn't matter sir," She said coldly. "Here their is no slaves. I don't know where Ashley bought you from but your not a slave. So now what is your name?" She finally looked up in my eyes. That's when I saw the spark in her eyes. But she still didn't say anything. "My name is Blayne." I said with a smile. She smiled back and said, "Dylan and Crystal my King." It's known for dragons to say both names to me because I was the king.

Then her gaze went down to what she was wearing. "What happened after Ashley pushed me off the cliff? How did I not die and why am I wearing this?" I smiled at her questions. "Well Lily, who is a werewolf, saved you. I brought you here and put one of my shirts on you. Before you ask no this is not my room." She blushed at the last part. "Why would you care for me?" "Well do you know anything about mates?" She shook her head no. "Well when two dragons find each other there is a spark in their eyes and they know that they are made for each other. But the dragons can only be together if their humans accept each other. I want to let you know that I will try everything I have to do to make you accept me. I don't want you to feel like you have to because I'm a king." When I was done she giggled. That made me smile, but that ended when her stomach growled and she blushed. "sorry" "sorry about what? Being hungry don't be, go get cleaned up I will be out your door waiting. There is clothes for you in the bathroom." She nodded and I left.

I quickly went to Lily's room. "How is she doing?" "Really well Elder Blue said she will wake up tomorrow." "That's great news.""How is the girl?" "Good her name is Dylan." I said walking out I didn't want to tell him that she was my mate. I made my way back to Dylan's room. She just opened the door and walked out. "Ready to find something for lunch?" I asked. "Yes" we made our way to the kitchen. "Hey ash would you like anything to eat?" I asked though the link. "Yes, please." I went about making us food. Once we were done eating we walked to Lily's room. I gave Ash his food and I walked Dylan back to her room. Then I went back to Lily's room. The night went quick.

Lily POV

I woke up in a field with Kira laying next to me. "Hey Kira where are we?" "Inside your mind I thought maybe you want to meet Amber." With that a beautiful white dragon landed and shifted to human but she still had wings. "Hello, child my name is Amber I'm your dragon." "Hello, Amber I'm sorry about what my family did to you." "That's alright. Just know that you can half shift. That means you can have wings, talons, and eyes. In order for you to fully shift work hard in training this week and half then I will inform you when you can shift. Now wake up my child." With that the field disappeared and when I opened my eyes I saw Blayne sitting at the foot of the bed.

"How is the girl?" I found my voice to ask. He flipped his head quickly and I saw a flame growing inside of him. I smiled at him and he said, "She's good. She should be about up." "Does she have a name?" "Dylan, How are you feeling?" I quickly jumped up and pulled him into a hug. "I take that as your well." I laughed and said, "Congrats on your mate. I feel really good. Amber told me if I train hard then maybe I will be able to fully shift into her instead of the half shifting." I explained.

We got up and walked downstairs to find Ash in an apron. "Hello, sleeping beauty. How do you feel?" After Ash asked, he walked over to me and gave me a hug. "Great I can't wait to show you my dragon's colors." I smiled back at him. "Let me guess it is gray, white, witn blue eyes?" Ash started to guess. I felt Amber come out a little then let me take over. "You have to see." I flashed a smile at his confused look. "Why are you two staring at her?" A soft voice said. I turned around and looked at the girl. "Hello, my name is Dylan and my dragon is crystal, Alpha.'' She introduced herself while bowing. "I walked over to her and gave her a hug. "Please don't do that. My name is Lily." she hugged me back and said, "Thank you for saving me." "Your welcome" we sat down to eat and both guys didn't speak. "What is it?" I finally asked them through the link. "Your eyes changed to purple for a second when I asked about Amber." Ash said. "Purple eyes mean higher power than me. What is your dragon's color?" Blayne asked. "You have to wait." We finished eating and walked to the door. "Dylan you can come if you want to. We will be training, If you don't want to come you can stay." Blayne explained. "I'm coming I would like to be able to learn how to defend myself." Dylan replied. Blayne nodded and we left the house.

"We have to fly to the training ground. Dylan can you shift or did they inject you with something?" Blayne asked. Dylan shifted to a beautiful gray with blue on the under belly. "Hop on Lily." Ash said in the link. I hopped on Kia and he said, "Can't wait to see Amber's wings. In a few days you will be able to fly by yourself." I looked over and saw Dace was playing with Crystal. Crystal was smaller than Dace. "Thank you Kai. I have a question. Why is crystal smaller than Dace?" "If you look around at the women they are slightly smaller than the men. But Crystal was a slave so she is extreamly smaller than a normal female. But both Dace and I are also bigger than an average male because we are higher ranks. Almost like your Alpha is bigger than a normal wolf. We are here little one. Both Blayne and I will help you half shift. Also watch out for the other men. They get horney when another strong female comes." Kai said. "Another female?" I was confused.

"Yes, the beautiful Pearl or Eva. She's strong, but shy and won't talk with us. They are both shy. I wish mate comes by its been two years since she joined the training group." Kai whined. I laughed at him. Everyone landed and shifted back to human form. I followed Blayne and Ashton over to the group of guys and the one female. "Morning. Today we got a new trainee. We would like one person to come up and fight her hand to hand combat. Then after that everyone can go back to their normal training." Blayne said. "Who wants to volunteer to fight Lily?" Ashton asked.

No one stepped forward but I did hear. "We can easily kill her. She's just a human that shouldn't be with dragons!" I growled and I felt Amber wanting to take over but Kira did. "Well then come up and I will beat you!" She yelled. A guy walked up front and Blayne said, "Hand to hand, pin down and not a lot of blood please. Now introduced each other." "Jack head of the warriors of dragons." "Lily, Alpha of a werewolf pack and holder of the dragon mark."

We got into a fighting stance and everyone gathered around. "Start" Ash said. Jack didn't waste any time before he took the first attack. I ended up dodging that attack. He kept attacking me and I kept dodging them. The more time he attacked I was able to find his weak spot. 'When he hits with his right hand his left side is exposed. When He hits with the left his legs spread further easy shots between his legs. When he kicks left his right side is exposed. Then the right kick left his left side exposed. This guy is the head of the warriors. I feel sorry for those that followed him because he is an open book.' I said to myself. I finished Jack and pinned him on the ground. I heard Blayne and Ashton laughing.

"Good explaining we need to work on training." Blayne said through the link. "Sorry I thought I blocked everything out." I said back in the link. I heard cheering and some people said, ``You got beat by a chick." The guys cleared out and a lady walked up. "Good job it's about time someone took him down. My name is Eva and my dragon Pearl said that was awesome." Eva said. "Thanks I had a lot of training. I will see you around, Eva. Oh by the way my name is Lily." She smiled before running off. "Alright Lily, your training with Ash and Dylan is training with me." Blayne said. I nodded and looked at Ash. "How are you feeling after that fight?" Ash asked. "Ready to get going." I said back. Ash nodded his head.

Then he took off his shirt and sprouted wings. I was in a sports bra and some tight shorts. "Close your eyes and let Amber do her thing." Ash said. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "Show time Amber'' I said. "Show those guys who you are." Kira said. Amber laughed and said. "Alright let's do this." I felt wings sprout out of my back and my vision was sharper. That didn't stop me from seeing everyone stop and stare. I heard 'Wow' 'Oh my goodness' 'She's beautiful' 'I need to get her' I rolled my eyes at that one. Then I saw everyone bowing, even Blayne. "Stand up Blayne, Ashton and Dylan. I don't like it when people bow." "We have to show you that we worship you and follow you." Dyaln said I was confused. "Your ancient dragon. You hold more power than I do." Blayne said. "Well I won't treat you guys any different let's get this training going." Ashton nodded and we got down to it. How to fly in this form, how to fight and defend. We spent most of the day like that. At the end of the day I shifted back to human and was watching everyone finish their training.

A couple of guys tried to get me to go with them. Then Eva sat next to me. "Men only want to get in our pants. Especially if the women is strong." "Do you not believe in mates? I have one and he is my world. He cares and loves me. He doesn't care if I fight or not." "I do but my mate is too busy to see me. He probably doesn't know my name. You know that is most of the reason for me to start training. He is the only one besides the king that has not tried to hit on me.” “Why don't you talk to him? Maybe he feels the same way and doesn't want to be like the other men and hit on you.” “I can't go up to a higher ranking dragon and say ‘Hey I'm a lower rank female, but I'm your mate.’ It doesn't work like that. Humans can reject others if they don't care about their dragon's feelings.” “Ashton come and say hello to her.” I said in the link. Ashton walked over and said, “Eva you were wonderful at training. I would love it if you could train with Lily and I tomorrow. Maybe us three will learn something new.” Eva smiled shyly and said, “I will be honored to work with higher ranking dragon's. Thank you for the opportunity Ashton.” Ashton then walked away with a smile on his face.

“That is awesome that he knows my name and I get to spend time with my mate and my new best friend.” Eva said, giving me a hug and running away. “Alright, Lily are you ready for a run?” Ash asked. I shifted to my wolf and we took off running. “Why did you want me to say hello earlier?” Ash asked through the link. “Eva didn't know if her mate even knew her name. You know she joined training mostly because of you. But, you never talk to her, she didn't want to come up and talk with you, because her fear was that you would reject her.” “I didn't want to be a typical guy and flirt with her. What did she say after I left?” “She was happy that she was able to train with her mate and best friend.” We finished our run and Ashton looked at me. “Would you like to fly back?” “That would be cool!” I quickly shifted to have my wings on my back and I looked over at Ashton and he did the same. We took off flying towards the house. Once we got near the house we landed and shifted back to our human bodies. We walked inside to find out that dinner was done. We all sat around the table and had dinner.

Blayne handed me my cell phone. “Calvin is probably up, you should call him. Last time that he heard from us was when we came back to the house. I just told him that we made it safely and that you passed out, I didn’t tell him about Amber.” I nodded and walked back to my room. I called Calvin and we talked, we talked so long that I ended up falling asleep with the phone to my ear.

The days went on with Blayne, Ashton, and Eva training me and Dylan. It got to the point where Ash could talk for a long time with Eva and at some point Dylan accepted Blane and let him mark her as his. So now they are together and happy. I’m happy for them, everyone deserves to be happy. It was the last day of training, the day before we go back and get ready for the war to come. All of us gathered together and we were sitting around the training grounds watching everyone train. Then Amber spoke to me, “You ready child?” “Do you mean what I think you mean?” “Yes, child we can shift but only for a tiny bit can't let you tire yourself out.” That's when I got up from where I was sitting and walked over to a big clearing. “Is this a good spot Amber?” I asked. “Yes perfect, now it’s like when you shift into Kira. I will take over and do the shift for you. Just remember that it won’t be long. Just enough time for me to stretch out and me getting used to being out. Also for you to get used to the full shift. You ready?” “Yes''

Amber took over and she shifted. Once she was done I could just imagine her being big and beautiful. We looked around and saw everyone looking at us. All the warriors and even a few others that were near. Amber shook her wings and let out a loud howl. Then she started to shift back. Once I was back in my human form I sat down, because that took a lot of my energy. I just saw Ash running up to me along with the others. “That was amazing. Your dragon is definitely the most powerful one in existence.” I blushed a little bit and said, ”thanks” “It looks like the training paid off. Now that you're able to fully shift that is wonderful news. Your training is complete, congrats Lily, Kira, and Amber.” Blayne said coming up to hug me.

Blayne handed me my cell phone and said, “Call Calvin and tell him we will be heading back soon and we will be there tomorrow.” I grabbed my phone from him and dialed Calvin. I wasn’t expecting Jazz to answer his phone. For a second I got jealous. “Hey Jazz, Where is Calvin?” I asked. “Lily, things got worse here. We need you back here now I don’t know how to tell you this...” Then the call ended. I started to worry, because I heard a lot of noise in the background and it sounded like they were fighting something. “What’s wrong Lily?” Dylan asked. “Calvin didn’t answer the phone but someone else did and they said that they are in trouble. We need to go back now. I heard a lot of chaos in the background and then the call ended like something happened to the phone.” I started to really panic because I was worried what happened to Calvin and Jazz and the rest of the pack. “Little one, calm down, everything will be fine. Your mate is going to be alive. We are leaving now so just calm down. A dragon cannot think under pressure and stress. If you are to go and defend them and defeat what ever attacked them then you need to calm down.” Dace said through the link.

“Now Eva and Dylan would you two like to come with us and go fight to help the human race stay alive?” Blayne asked. “I would love to be able to go and see who can tame this spitfire of a girl right here. She must have a strong mate.” Dylan said. I just blushed thinking about Calvin trying to tame me. “Alright then it is settled let's leave and go save people.” Ashton said. Everyone shifted into their dragon forms except for me. I ended up hopping on Dace’s back.
