The Abused Alpha

Chapter 13

We were on our way back to my home to find out what was going on with everything. It was to early for the war to start so I didn’t know what to expect. Since it was like an emergency I noticed that everyone was flying faster than normal trying to get back. We ended up getting back in about four hours, about half the time it took going to the dragon realm. Once the pack lands came into view we saw destruction and chaos just all over. Vampires, witches, and werewolves fighting an unknown enemy. I looked around and there was a few casualties. Ashton wasted no time before he started to blow fire and kill a few of the enemies.

I looked over and I saw Dylan and Eva staying back watching, waiting for a time to engage in the fight. Then when Dace circled around to see more of the fight that was when I started looking for Calvin. I finally found him in his wolf form, he was charging at someone and killed them and I felt proud. Then I saw that someone hit him and took him down, but he wasn’t getting back up. Then something else saw a chance and started to advance towards him and that was when I decided to step in. I jumped off Dace’s back and I let Amber take over. She went into her full form. I knew the risks but I was willing to risk everything to save and protect my mate.

Before I got to him I let out a loud roar. That got the enemy's attention and they changed their direction into coming at me. I liked that more than them going after my mate. Amber ended up using something that was cool and that was blowing a blue flame at the enemy and killing them. Amber went near Calvin to make sure that he was still breathing. “He’s fine, let's keep protecting him and killing the enemy.” Amber said in the link and I stood back in my mind letting her take care of things. My brothers came closer and the pack doctor came over because they were worried about Calvin. I wouldn’t let them near and I just growled at them. “Lily it's us, we won't hurt him. We want to help him.” Dem pledged but I still didn’t calm down. I saw Dace land and Ashton came running up beside my brothers. “Amber please let them help Calvin.” Ashton said softly. Then I heard Dace say, “little one please calm down.” Amber looked down and saw Dem, Dom, the doctor, and Ashton bowing their heads. “Amber look at me.” Dace said. Amber looked at him and his eyes showed care and love. Something that I have seen lately with everyone that I met. I felt calmer, but that is not what changed me, it was the few words that Dace said that melted my heart. It changed my thinking when I was letting Amber take over. “They are here to help. Just please understand that and let them help. I know that you have been hurt and don’t trust easily, but please know that we are your family and we love you and we are here to help. Now please let Lily take control again and let her change back.” Amber listened to that message and let me take control again. Amber, Kira, and myself felt like we are loved and that now we have this big happy family going on. We don’t have to stay hidden or keep everything to ourselves. We got people that we can trust and that love us for who we are and not for who we are not. It changed everything and I love them. Once Amber let me take control I ended up changing back into human form and like I already knew I was going to faint. The last thing that I hoped was that some would catch me before I hit the ground.

Dominic POV

We were preparing for Lily’s return which was in another day or so. So we were trying to get everyone settled and organized for a party. Well that's what we thought but something strange happened. It happened quickly when some strange looking enemy started to attack us. That's when I saw the witches and vampires come around and start to attack them. Then the werewolves came and helped as well. Then I looked over at the underground hideout that we built for the women, children, and everyone else that didn’t want to fight or couldn’t fight to hide. I saw Calvin pushing Jazz inside whether she wanted to be inside or not. Right before he shut the door he tossed his phone inside. Right after he made sure it was closed he shifted and came to join us in the fight. It was getting hard to fight these things, yes we killed a few but we lost more people than they did. I thought we were going to be goners and Lily would come back and find everyone out here dead and the ones in the hide out alive.

But that thinking changed once I spotted two familiar looking dragons and two newer ones. I saw Lily on Blayne’s back. I saw Ashton quickly fly closer to the ground and start to set the enemy on fire and I noticed that the two new ones stood back analyzing the situation and Blayne was circling around. Then I quickly looked over and Calvin had been knocked unconscious. What I was shocked about was that I saw Lily jump off Blayne and transform. She transformed into this big white dragon lined with blue and had purple eyes. She took down the enemy and went to Calvin to protect him. “We need a doctor to Calvin.” I said in the mindlink. Both Dem and I shifted to our human form knowing it was dangerous, especially in the middle of war. Once we got closer to Lily the doctor from the Silver moon pack was running up beside us. We walked up to Calvin and Lily but she ended up growling at us. “Lily it’s us we won’t hurt him we want to help him.” Dem pleaded. But she wasn’t backing down. Ashton comes running over and tries to talk with Lily, “Amber please let them help Calvin.” That's when I noticed Blayne land and stood in front of Lily looking like he was talking with her. “Dace has her focus right now. When she looks back over here please bow your heads. It helps show a dragon that you mean no harm and that you understand that they are more powerful than you. Hopefully she calms down and lets us help.” Ashton softly says to us.

We followed what he said and we bowed our heads to this dragon that Lily became. That's when we saw her shift back into her human self. But it looked like she was unconscious and started to fall to the ground. I quickly grabbed her before she hit the ground. “Amber uses a lot of her energy and since this was the first time that she was in that form for longer than a minute she had no energy. Just give her a little time to recover and she should be fine.” Blayne said. I didn’t know that he had already shifted and was standing next to me until he spoke. “Calvin is fine he started to heal his wounds. But we should move both of them back home before something happens to them.” Dem suggested while he was picking Calvin up.

I looked up and found that the enemy was gone with no sign of them and everyone was helping the wounded up. I didn’t see the two other dragons in the sky anymore. But I did see two beautiful women running towards us. “Blayne” one yelled. “Ashton '' The other yelled. They ran right into their arms. The girl that ran into Blayne’s arms was crying. Something I never thought I would hear a big tough dragon king say and that was. “I’m sorry that I scared you, sweetheart.” “Amber did a number on those guys.” The one in Ashton’s arms said. “Can we please get them inside. Then everyone can have their reunion!” The doctor yelled.

We took both Calvin and Lily back to Calvin’s pack house. Everyone was waiting for us. The four dragons followed Dem and I to Calvin’s bedroom. Dem laid Calvin down first and I laid Lily down on the other side of the bed. “You guys need to explain who this Amber is to us.” I said. Everyone walked out of the bedroom and followed me to Calvin’s office. “Demiri and Dominic are our mates. Dylan and Eva and Amber is Lily’s dragon.” Blyane explained. “Wait dragon, but she was only with you for two weeks?” Dem was confused. I don’t blame him. “Well, when she was ten her dragon started to form, but she was strapped down and your parents cut and pulled her wings and scales off. After that happened her dragon started to die. We did a blood test once we got back to our realm to see exactly what she was. Once I accepted her as the advocate for the dragons, both Ashton and myself felt this connection. It was a connection like dragon and dragon gets. So we were curious so we asked Lily if we could do a blood test and see if she was something else and she agreed. That was when we found out that she had a dragon, but it was about to die. We gave Lily the option of trying to save her dragon or just let her die. Lily chose the option to save the dragon. That dragon ended up being the most powerful one to live. She's and ancient one that every other one died off because people wanted them to get their scales, She's more powerful than I am.” Blayne explained.

“Usually when someone turns ten they shift into their dragon, we have seen if a person doesn’t shift or cannot shift after a year their dragon dies. For Lily to be sixteen and hasn’t shifted once in her life into a dragon and her dragon wasn’t dead that means something. We are guessing that is why Lily became more tired as she grew older that her wolf Kira didn’t want her dragon to die and kept feeding her power. Her dragon’s name is Amber. I suggest you get used to seeing her.” Ashton finished up explaining. Then Calvin walks into the office. “When did Lily get back and why is she passed out in my bedroom?” He was so confused. “Calvin, I suggest that you go back to your room and rest until Lily gets up.” Blayne said. “Is the fight over with?” Calvin asked. This time Dylan spoke up. “Yes we won, but please go back to your room until Lily gets up. Please protect everyone and go back.” Dylan and Eve escorted Calvin out of the office. Once the door shut I spoke up, “Are we going to explain to him that Lily is a dragon?” “We will let Lily tell him. She told us that if anything happens let her explain what's going on” Blayne said. “So Dylan is your mate?” I asked while I was looking at Blayne. “Yes, and Eva is Ashton’s mate. Thanks to Lily we were able to find our mates. She Jumped off a cliff to save Dylan and that is how I found out that she was my mate. Then we found out that Eva started in the training area to get noticed by Ashton two years ago but he never talked to her. She didn’t want to talk to him because she didn’t want to look like she was throwing herself at him. So Lily talked with her and talked with Ash and got them both together.” “That was a touching story. We should go check on Lily and see how she is doing.” I suggested.

Lily POV

When I woke up I was not expecting people to be around. I saw everyone was here, both my brothers one on each side of me. Dylan and Eva sitting on the foot of the bed. Then Blayne and Ashton standing next to their mates. I didn’t see Calvin I sat up and Blayne said in the link, “He's in the bathroom.” Then right on cue Calvin walks in. He looks at me and everyone gets off the bed and he advances towards me and hugs me. Then he looks into my eyes but he looks confused and scared. “Lily your eyes are purple and not blue. What happened when you went with the dragons?” He asked. ‘Sorry I’m a little possessive and happy we have mates.’ Amber told me. I got up and said, “It’s easier to show you. Follow me.”

Everyone followed me outside. I took a deep breath and half shifted. Calvin stumbled back and looked scared. I quickly shifted back to my world and took off. I was crying because he was afraid of me. “Lily come back.” Ashton said in the link. “Lily I was not expecting you to grow wings. I didn't think you were a dragon. I love you baby.” Calvin said in the mindlink. “Go back child.” Amber said. “He loves you child, Prince wants us.” Kira said. I turned around and went back, what I saw was heartfelt. Calvin in his wolf form crying by the lake where he first laid eyes on me. I walked up to him and laid my head on his. “Love you came back.” He was happy. “How could I stay mad at you? Let's go back and talk.” I suggested. We got up and he looks at me. “Can you shift to your dragon?” “Well I can partially shift. I still need training to strengthen myself to full shift without feeling drained.” I said. He was confused and I let Amber take the wheel or this case my body. We half shift with our wings behind me and I felt confident about myself. Calvin shifted to his human and said “That is totally cool. I can’t believe that you can do that. I wonder if our children will be able to do that?” “I don’t know we have to wait.” I said I shifted back to human form and walked back to the pack house. Only to be squeezed to death by four ladies; two dragons and two wolves. “We missed you.” Callie said. “Don’t run away again you scared us.” Eva said. I smiled at there comments and I noticed Bella was distant.

“Bella, What are you hiding? I asked. She blushed and walked towards Damon. I closed my eyes and focused on my hearing. I heard two heartbeats, Bella and another little one. I opened my eyes to see that she was hugging him and he was happy. “Congrats you two.” I said to both of them. Then I jumped in Damon’s arms and said, “You better protect them and care for them.” I was still in Damon's arms when everyone walked in. “Lily what's going on?” Dusty asked. “Oh I missed my bro.” I said. Bella took a deep breath and said. “We're having a baby.” Everyone looked wide-eyed. “Congrats' ' Everyone said. Calvin pulls me in his embrace and says, “Makes you want to have one too.” I looked up at him and thought I would love that. I smiled and said. “Maybe”

He laughed and I looked deep in his eyes and said, “Calvin, thank you for everything you did for me. Most people would have killed me or took me for their own personal gain. But you after you found me and stayed with me while I was in the tree teasing you or passed out because I got hurt. You never left my side. I have been through a lot but you're the reason I'm here. You might not think this but you saved me. I love you and I will always be by your side until the day we die. I would love to bare your children. I love you and I love Prince.” He was crying. He hugged me and I hugged him back. Everyone ended up staying the night at the pack house.

I woke up and took a shower. Today everyone leaves and everything should go back to normal. “Now Lily you can visit whenever. The link will always be open and to find the portal let Amber lead. A dragon will always finds its way back to the hoard.” Blayne explained. Blayne, Ashton, Dylan, and Eva were getting ready to head back home. I gave all of them a hug and wished them safe travels. They were the first set of people to leave the pack house. After the hugs and the goodbyes, they shifted and left. Then the next set of people to leave were my brothers. “Meeting next month with my pack. It’s an alpha’s meeting.” Dom said before he gave me a hug. “I'm happy I found my brothers.” I said. Then I hugged Dem and both of my brothers smiled and said, “We love you and take care sis.” Then they shifted and ran off.

Then Damon and Dusty gave me their farewells and both their mates were sad they had to leave. “Damon, you take care of my sis and my nephew or niece. If you don’t Amber will come and kill you.” Damon's face paled and the girls just laughed. “Don’t worry they will be safe.” Damon said and they left, Calvin wrapped his arms around me and said, “How about we go upstairs and get comfortable?” I laughed and said, “Okay big bad Alpha.” He carried me upstairs to our room. For the rest of the day and night he showed me how much he loved me.
