Chapter1
First encounter Evelyn woke up at 7:00 a.m. feeling groggy and unprepared for her first interview. She knew she had to get up, but the thought of facing the day ahead made her want to crawl back into bed. She decided to seek her mother's advice, who gave her some words of encouragement and told her to have faith in God that everything would work out. On her way to the interview, Evelyn was stuck in traffic due to an accident on the road. She felt her heart sink as she realized she was going to be late. When she finally arrived, she was worried that her appointment would be canceled. To make matters worse, she realized that she had forgotten an important file that was necessary for her entrance to the premises. Fortunately, the gateman recognized her and let her in. As she walked towards the interview room, a random voice called out her name. Evelyn looked around, wondering who could have known her there, and remembered that she had a friend who was working for this company. It was finally her turn to get interviewed. Evelyn's heart was pounding as she walked into the interview room. She tried to calm herself down by taking deep breaths and reminding herself of all the hard work she had put in to prepare for this moment. The interviewers were a man and a woman, both of whom looked friendly and welcoming. Evelyn introduced herself with a smile and sat down. The interview began with some basic questions about her background and experience. Evelyn answered confidently, drawing on her past work experience and education. The interviewers seemed impressed and asked her some more detailed questions about her skills and qualifications. Evelyn felt like she was doing well until the interviewers asked her about the file she had forgotten. She felt her face flush with embarrassment as she explained the situation. To her surprise, the interviewers were understanding and even offered to reschedule the interview so she could bring the file. Evelyn was grateful for their kindness and felt more confident than ever before. Evelyn felt like she had made a good impression during the interview and was relieved when it was over. However, when she arrived at the office on the day of the interview, she was told that they didn't need an employee at this moment. The vacant space had been occupied. Evelyn was heartbroken. She had been so excited about the opportunity, and now it seemed like it had all been for nothing. She felt shattered and lost. She had put so much effort into preparing for the interview, and now it seemed like it had all been a waste. Evelyn spent the next few days feeling sorry for herself. She couldn't shake the feeling that she had failed. But then she remembered something that her mother had told her when she was a child. "When one door closes, another one opens," her mother had said. "You just have to be patient and keep looking." Evelyn decided to take her mother's advice. She continued her job search, but this time with a renewed sense of purpose. She applied to every job that she was remotely qualified for, and even some that she wasn't. She went to job fairs, and networking events, and even started volunteering at a local charity. It wasn't easy, but Evelyn refused to give up. And eventually, her hard work paid off. She landed a job at a startup that was just getting off the ground. The pay wasn't great, and the hours were long, but Evelyn didn't care. She was doing something that she loved, and that was all that mattered. As she lay down to take a nap, Evelyn reflected on the events of the day. She couldn't help but feel disappointed that she didn't get the job she wanted. But then she reminded herself that everything happens for a reason. "Evelyn Morgan," she said to herself, "this is not the job you are meant to get after all your hard work and studying for the past few years. Something better is waiting for you, and you just have to keep looking." Evelyn was overwhelmed with emotion and began to sob uncontrollably. She felt like a failure and was sure that her parents would be disappointed in her. The stress of the situation was so intense that she began to experience migraine headaches. As if things couldn't get any worse, Evelyn realized that she had forgotten to call her boyfriend. She knew that he would be upset with her for not giving him the attention he deserved. She tried calling him, but his number was busy. She wondered who he could be talking to at this late hour. Her mind raced with the possibility that he might be having a secret affair. But she quickly dismissed the thought, knowing that he loved her too much to ever hurt her. Despite her worries, Evelyn knew that she had to stay strong and keep moving forward. She took a deep breath and reminded herself that everything would be okay. She decided to focus on the things that she could control and let go of the things that she couldn't. She knew that there were better days ahead and that she would get through this difficult time. I'm hungry, what can I eat, I forgot to buy vegetables for the family, Evelyn said. Where can I meet my mate, when will I be taken, my mate is waiting for me to be on his arm, Evelyn sang suddenly, what am I even saying, I have met my mate already and we are bought Happy together, wait a minute, is that a sign that I'm going to get rejected by my present mate, he can't even think of doing that. She remembered the word imagination coming to life, Lisa always said this, and Evelyn snugged.
