(phone ringing) "Yes, mom?" Ezye answered with a sleepy voice. They had arrived earlier, and they were taking their rest. "Hija. When are you going to visit us? We missed you so much already," her mom said in a dramatic voice. "How are you both doing there? I'm with Ambrey right now, taking a break from work. I'm planning to take my flight next week. I missed you both," she said in a sweet tone. She's only the daughter, and her parents always ensure she visits them. They lived in Upper Clinton Hill, Newark, while she was in Brewster Hill. "Okay, sweet. Enjoy yourself there, your dad and I can't wait to see you soon. Say hi to Ambrey and get a boyfriend. Love you!" her mom ended the call. She was left smiling while shaking her head. Her mother had been nagging her about getting a boyfriend. But Ezye wasn’t ready yet. She wants to focus on her coffee shop, nothing else. It was 9 am when she saw the time on her phone, and Ambrey was no longer in bed next to her. Getting up, she brushes her teeth and washes her face. She sees her reflection in the mirror. The color of her hair matches her eyes. Both Ambrey and her went to a salon yesterday after finishing her work. Her best friend insisted on dying her jet-black hair, and she did. She curled it into a big wave and dyed a silver color highlighted in green that matched her eyes. Indeed, she looks different from before, more beautiful. Ezye was freaking out when she saw all of her clothes changed. There's no way she would wear them. "Ambrey," she murmured when she realized it was her best friend's doing. It's all sexy tops, shorts, and bikinis. She found something not too revealing and took it. She freaks out more when she sees it in the mirror after wearing it. It was a bear-black maroon beach dress on the knees. It fits perfectly with her tiny waist and wide hips. Her phone tone and got Ambrey’s message. 'Tie your hair into a messy bun. You don't want to look like a mad woman wearing a bareback dress, right?' Ezye sighed at the idea of tying her hair. It will reveal more of her collarbone. She takes a deeper breath and faces herself in the mirror. Without further thinking, she made her hair into a chic updo and messy bun and did not bother to wear makeup and get the door open. She wore maroon, non-slip flat beach slippers. She's 5'6 ft tall and 53 kg. Not too small to look at and not too tall either. The place they stayed in was a two-story wooden house. Expensive plants and flowers are organized in each corner of the place. When she arrived at the kitchen, it was Ambrey alone, scrolling on her phone. "I thought we were having breakfast, Brey," Ezye asks, and Ambrey faces her with a surprised look. "Holy moly, babe! You are fuckin' gorgeous. Oh my G! It suits you perfectly! From head to toe! Let's go outside. They're waiting there." Ambrey, being exhilarated, took her arms. "Wait. There's a lot of us here?" she asked and began to panic. She's not overacting, but she has never worn something like this before in front of many people. "There's only six of us, babe. Red's two best friends and Cameron. Pretty please? Show that gorgeous to everyone." Ambrey pleaded to her with puppy eyes that she couldn't resist. "Fine. You won. You know I can't say no to you," she heard Ambrey snigger and let it lead the way. The look on their faces was priceless. Red, who was laughing earlier, was silent, Teo and Cameron, who were flirting, stopped, and Gin, with always a frigid expression, became colder with his fist clenching in his pocket. Seeing his male friend's eyes stuck on her woman makes him want to punch their faces. On the other hand, Ezye's breathing became heavy when she saw the man at the party with a darker expression. She did not understand why she was scared of that look. She was spacing out when a hand took her arms and grabbed her from everyone. A lot of thoughts were running through her mind. But she was back to reality when a blanket covered her body. "What do you think you are wearing!" The man faces her with an angry expression, and she does not understand why he's acting like a mad boyfriend to her. She composes herself and looks him in the eyes–she also regrets it because her knees suddenly tremble just looking at them. "What?" Out of the words she wanted to spit at him, only one came out. She scolded her mind for being a scary cat. "Damn it! Woman. You just walked in front of everyone wearing that fuckin dress!" he exploded as he kept his hand running through his hair, which made him look hotter. "Excuse me-who are you? Why were you acting like my boyfriend when, in fact, I never knew a single idea about you! " she said as she was about to explode. She had never been so angry like this before, but this man in front of her made her chest heave up and down. Gin calmed himself when he saw her face getting red, a sign that he had just made her mad. "We are not going back there without you are changing those clothes," he said while grabbing some of his clothes and giving them to her. She was going to say something when he unexpectedly cupped his hand to her face while his eyes were pleading. "I'll tell you about myself after you change," he added. She doesn't want to complain anymore and takes the clothes off to the bathroom to change. Her thoughts swirled from confusion about the man’s actions towards her. Ezye had never met such a man telling her what to dress and making her change with just one command. But whoever he was, she knew he was dangerous for her being. One that she can’t oppose, and if she lets him control her.
