Aria has never been chosen. Raised by a cold father and bullied by a cruel sister, she learns early that love is conditional. When she is sold into a political marriage to an Alpha old enough to be her father, her hope shatters, especially because she already has a mate.

Upon arriving at Ironcrest, Aria discovers the Alpha is dead, but the contract still binds her. Ancient law now demands she marry one of his twin sons, Davin or Kavin Ironcrest.

Living beneath the same roof, Aria is drawn into a dangerous balance of protection, longing, and forbidden attraction. One brother offers calm strength and loyalty. The other awakens fire and rebellion she never knew she possessed.

As secrets stir within the Ironcrest mansion, the truth behind her sale surfaces. Aria must decide her fate. Was she discarded, or chosen for a reason? Which brother will she choose in time?

CHAPTER 1
ARIA I knew my father had finally lost his mind when he decided it was okay to sell me off to marry a man who was old enough to be my father. The ruthless Alpha of the Ironcrest Pack. Even though he knew I had already found my mate, he still thought it was acceptable to drag me to another man. It had happened all too fast, and now I was sitting in the Ironcrest mansion, waiting for my old husband to meet me. I sat stiffly in the chair offered to me, my palms sweating and my heart racing as I stared at the marble floor. I did not want to see his face. I did not even want to be here. If only I could blink and wake up somewhere else, somewhere that was not this nightmare. Behind me, footsteps echoed against the floor. I stiffened. He is here. “Hello,” a deep voice said suddenly behind me. “You must be Aria. I am Mr. Ironcrest Davin.” The sound of that voice alone made me turn around sharply. It was deep, commanding, and too powerful to belong to an old man. I quickly stood up as my eyes fell on a tall, good-looking man who looked like he should be in his mid-twenties. “Mr… Iron… Ironcrest?” I stammered, wide-eyed. This could not be right. Mr. Ironcrest was supposed to be an elderly, gray-haired man, wrinkled, probably leaning on a cane. But the man standing before me was anything but that. He was tall, easily a head above me, and he had a commanding presence that filled the room. His golden-brown hair looked like it had caught fire in the dim light. His jaw was strong, and his face was devastatingly handsome. I could see his eyes clearly assessing me without even trying to hide it. He looked nothing like the gray-haired man I had imagined. “What do you mean you are Mr. Ironcrest?” I asked, my confusion spilling into my voice. His lips curved slowly into a smile. “I am Mr. Ironcrest. What do you mean?” “But you are supposed to be old,” I blurted before I could stop myself. He chuckled, and for a moment, the sound made my chest tighten. “Ah. I see. You were expecting my father.” “Your father?” I frowned. “I did not know he had a son.” “Oh, he does,” he said, stepping closer until his shadow touched mine. “Children, to be precise.” “Oh…” I muttered, still trying to piece everything together. “Then I suppose you do not want me here any more than I want to be here.” His brow arched slightly. “Can you please talk to your father?” I pressed, my voice trembling. “Convince him to let me go. I do not want to stay here.” “My father,” he said, his voice suddenly quiet but heavy, “is dead.” Wait. Dead? “He is… dead?” I asked carefully, unsure whether I should feel sympathy or relief. Part of me wanted to whisper thank goodness, but the other part was too stunned to speak. “That means I can go,” I said, my heart beating faster now, hope flickering in my chest. But then his tone changed. It was not gentle anymore. “No,” he said. “You are not going anywhere.” His expression was firm and grounded. I blinked, unsure if I had heard him right. “What do you mean I cannot go anywhere? I was brought here for your father, and he is gone. So there is no reason for me to stay.” He took another step closer, his presence swallowing the space between us. “Well,” he said, his voice low, “your father made sure there was a reason. You are part of this estate now. Everything my father left, he left to us. Which means you, Miss Aria, belong here. Under me and my brother.” Short of words, I only stared at him blankly. “Did your father not explain the terms of the contract to you?” he asked again. My stomach twisted violently as realization dawned. No. He had not explained anything. Because if he did, I would have had time to run. I was not important enough for him to waste his precious breath explaining things. It reminded me that I was just a worthless commodity my father could discard any time he wanted. At that moment, it dawned on me that I was trapped. I needed to escape from here as soon as I could. “Scaring the poor girl already, Davin?” The voice came from behind me, teasing and laced with amusement. This must be the other brother. A man was descending the grand staircase, his steps unhurried and confident. The light from the window caught his hair, and then I noticed it. It was the same golden-brown shade as Davin’s. At a glance, I could tell they were brothers. They shared the same hazel eyes and the same perfect bone structure. But while the one who stood in front of me had features that were sharp and muscular with a domineering allure, this one’s were softer, giving him a boyish look, like a handsome boy next door. His smile was easy and effortless, the kind that made you feel comfortable. “Oh, what a beauty you are,” he said with a grin as he reached the bottom of the stairs. I stood still when he walked closer, his gaze sweeping over me with open curiosity. “Hello, Aria,” he said, taking my hand in his. Before I could react, he lifted it to his lips and kissed it gently. His lips were warm, and the action was totally unexpected. “I am Kavin,” he said, his smile widening. “And the grumpy one over there is my brother, Davin.” Turning back to me, he said with a grin, “Welcome to the Ironcrest house.” Then, with an almost mischievous glint in his eyes, he gestured towards Davin. “I know he can be a bit of a joy killer, but do not worry. I am here. You can just marry me instead, baby.” “Marry you?” I asked, confusion crashing all over me again. “Yes, baby,” he said softly as he stepped beside me and threw his arms over my shoulders. “You need to choose who to marry between my brother and me.”
