Chapter Six I hung there for the rest of the night occasionally falling asleep or passing out for a few very short intervals. When I finally raised my head from my chest I heard the normal morning noises that resound in the jungle. As the sun rose higher I could finally see the tank and surrounding area. Suddenly there was some movement to my left. I remained motionless as a troop of large monkeys came out of the big rounded leaves and thick underbrush. They chattered and squealed while tromping through the mud that surrounded the tank. Suddenly it all became clear. The little footprints weren’t from pygmies. They were from these strange primates.
