Alpha Murphy pulled Sassy downstairs and threw her on the floor, in front of all his workers and staffs.
Beta Hogan came out too, to watch what was going to happen and also to restrict Alpha Murphy if he went to far. He had earlier seen Megan come and leave angrily, so he suspected what was about to happen had something to do with it.
Sassy got up from the floor and glared angrily at Alpha Murphy.
"Is this all you can do?" She asked.
"Do not push me, Sassy." Alpha Murphy warned.
"Or what? Do you think I'm scared of you? I beat you up when we were kids and I can do it again." Sassy said too and there was a sudden hush. Most of the workers had never heard of the incident, so it got them intrigued.
Alpha Murphy looked at Sassy with complete hatred.
"I, Murphy, the Alpha of Black Knights Pack, rejects you, Sassy, to be my mate." He said in anger.
Sassy felt a sharp pain in her chest and she screamed and fell on her knees with her hands on her chest. She wondered why she was the only one feeling every pain for even what Alpha Murphy did.
She stared at him and said in a clear voice.
"And I, Sassy Rivers, accept your rejection." She said and the pain stopped. For a moment, she felt a little light-headed, but she felt free.
"Damn you, Murphy." She said.
Everyone watched her as she stood up and left the place, to go back to the orphanage.
Alpha Murphy stomped back to his office and Beta Hogan followed him.,
Alpha Murphy had just sat down on his chair, when Beta Hogan walked in.
"What just happened?" He asked.
Alpha Murphy shrugged.
"You already knew I was going to reject her. What are you asking about?" He asked.
"You and I know that something went wrong. What was it? What happened between you and Megan? I saw her leave angrily." Beta Hogan said.
Alpha Murphy didn't say a word and Beta Hogan walked forward and sat next to him.
"I'm not leaving until you tell me what the hell is going on." Beta Hogan said.
"Sassy and I were having a good time, when Megan walked in and saw us together. She got mad and said a lot of stupid things. She told Sassy I was just gonna make her my mistress. And then, she left me." Alpha Murphy explained.
"Hold on. You and Sassy were having a good time? I mean..i...I'm confused."
"We were making out." Alpha Murphy said bluntly.
"Oh..oh..I see. So you lost your potential Luna because you were making out with your mate and then you also lost your mate, which makes you a loser on both sides, am I right?" Beta Hogan asked.
"You're not making this any better, Hogan." Alpha Murphy said.
"I'm sorry." Beta Hogan said, laughing.
Alpha Murphy relaxed his back on the chair and gently pulled his beards, with his eyes looking distant.
"I didn't want to reject her again at that time. I know it's weird, but her blonde hair now attracts me. It smells like fresh flowers and I can't get enough of it. It intoxicates me." He said.
"Are you in love with her?" Beta Hogan asked.
"Eww. No. Just because I like the hair doesn't mean I like the owner."
"Which means Megan was right. Everything she said to Sassy was true." Beta Hogan said.
"Yeah...I guess so. But she wasn't supposed to speak. It shouldn't have come from her. Even if it would, it shouldn't have been at that particular moment. Who even let her in?" Alpha Murphy asked, looking frustrated now.
"What's happened has happened. You'd definitely get another lady. You're the Alpha, so that shouldn't be a problem." Beta Hogan said, trying to cheer him up.
"But, I already lost my mate. There's actually nothing better than being with your mate." Alpha Murphy said.
"You should have thought about that before you publicly rejected her. Don't cry over a split milk, Alpha." Beta Hogan said and walked out, leaving Alpha Murphy to his own thoughts.

Megan stomped into her room and threw her bag on the floor. She jumped on her bed and began to cry. Her mother immediately rushed in.
"Megan baby, what is wrong? Who hurt you?" Her mother asked.
Megan was crying heavily and couldn't speak.
Her mother raised her up on her thighs and patted her back.
"That's right. Let it all out." Her mother said softly.
Megan cried some more before she finally stopped.
"Mother." She said, tearfully.
"Yes baby, I'm right here."
"Why does the Alpha treat me like some piece of trash?" She asked.
"Piece of trash?" Her mother asked.
"Yes, mother. I caught him making out with his mate today. He promised to reject her, but I saw them making out. Is that fair, mother?" Megan asked again.
"Making out? You were probably seeing things. Everyone in the pack knows how much Murphy and Sassy hate themselves. It's impossible, child." Her mother said.
"No mother, it isn't impossible. I really did see it. She sat on his office table,her buttons were undone and her lipstick smeared all over Murphy's face. I know what I saw, mother." Megan cried.
"Oh Goddess! I'm so sorry about that my baby. I wonder what that slut did to seduce him. I'm going to make her pay for this. And Murphy too, this isn't the last he'll hear from me." Her mother said.
"No mother, don't hurt him. I still love him, but you can do whatever you want to that b***h. If Murphy apologizes to me, I'll accept him back." Megan said.
"Yes, you will. You should be the Luna. I didn't train you to this point for everything to be a waste. You are going to be Luna, my dear. Okay? And as for the Blondie, I'll definitely make her pay." Her mother said.
"Thank you, mother." Megan said.
"Alright, get some rest now." Her mother said, and kissed her cheek.
She walked out of Megan's room and shut the door. She went to the living room and picked up her phone to call Sassy. After a few trials, Sassy finally picked up.
"Hello Sassy."
"Hello, Matron." Sassy's voice said over the phone...
