Nancy came to the old mansion earlier the next day before Ben was up. She wanted to surprise him but found him still asleep. She did not wake him but instead knelt beside him. She grabbed her amulet in her left hand while her right-hand fingers touched Ben’s forehead.
Ben opened his eyes and found himself lying on a green lawn in his dream. Nancy lay before him and she was looking in his eyes.
“When did you get here?” he asked her.
“Just now.”
“Welcome into my dream.”
“Thank you. People are always pushing me out of their heads and locking away their secrets. In your head, I find no resistance at all. It’s comforting.”
