Chapter 2

Alpha Greys Pov

I finally get home and am trying to figure out what I'm going to say to Heather and Brayden tomorrow. I know what Heather is like she's a fiesty little thing that will stop at nothing to get the answers she's looking for, she's not going to just drop it and Brayden, well Brayden will just go along with her so he doesn't get yelled at too.

I wake up to see its 7:45am, knowing Heather she'll be at my office before 8 and I'm not in the mood to be yelled at. When Heather is mad and starts to yell she reminds me of my mother and its terrifying, I may be her Alpha but when she sounds like and sometimes looks like my mother it feels like I'm being haunted.

I get up and quickly get dressed, there's no time for a shower. I walk into my office and to my surprise Heather, Brayden and even benji are already in my office. "You're late" Heather says in an angry tone. The likeness of the tone my mother would use sends chills up my spine. "It's 7:55, I'm 5 minutes early" I reply. The look I receive from Heather is as if I just back chatted my own mother and am about to experience hell for it.

"So" I say clearing my throat.

"The final report came in and the wolf from last night is not one of our but is a wolf that went missing a week ago from the Eclipse pack. It was determined that he was dead about an hour before we found him and was dead before the engraving on his back."

Everyone in the room is in shock.

"Is this the first time or just thr first time your telling us" Heather questions.

"Its the first time I'm telling you" I state.

I hold my hand in the air so no more questions are asked.

"Take a seat and I'll explain everything"

Everyone takes a seat and is sitting in silence, Brayden has his mouth slightly opened as if he's still in shock.

I clear my throat.

" For months there has been attacks on packs. We can only assume rogues are responsible but we don't know for sure. Three other packs have been attacked and they won't stop, only now we know we are next. I'll be putting a call out for help shortly, I don't want to see anything happen to anyone. we don't know when they will attack but we can only assume it won't take them long so they fast the better, It's a lot to ask but Heather, Brayden I need you to do more training sessions and training will now be mandatory. I don't want anyone to feel like they can't protect themselves when the time comes. I'll keep you updated but for now is there any questions?" I ask looking around the room at the three blank faces in front of me.

It's quiet and I only see heads shaking.

"Very well go get something to eat and I'll put the call out" They all nod.

"Training will start at 1 and end at 5, you will need to add more people on to patrol and they will all need to be on high alert tonight" I add before they walk out of the room.

It's going to be a long couple of days.
