Chapter 3

Heather's pov

I am absolutely outraged. Beyond outraged, I am pissed off. How could he not tell me, well us, but mainly me. We're like family.

I walk down the stairs into the kitchen and grab myself a plate of bacon, scrambled eggs, freshly buttered toasted, cooked tomatoes and some salt and pepper. I'm salivating. This is my favourite. Alpha Grey probably mind linked the kitchen staff so I was put into a good mood. Sweetheart that old man is, I'm still mad but not as much as I was. I go to sit down when a cappuccino is placed in front of me. Must be Alpha Greys way of apologising without actually saying the words. I'll take it.

Brayden and Benji sit down with me and have their plates and a cup of juice. Over breakfast we discuss the training we're going to do today because there will be wolves new to training and we can't throw them into the deep end.

Alpha Greys Pov

I sure hope the kitchen staff got my breakfast recommendation and coffee order for Miss Heather, I won't apologise with words but with food. She loves her food.

I reluctantly pick up the phone and use my wolf hearing to make sure there isn't a certain somebody lurking behind the door trying to eavesdrop, once knowing all is clear I call the Lycan headquarters and tell them everything that's been happening and ask for help. At first they don't believe me and I ask to send them through what I have via email and they agree. After viewing the email the phone goes silent before I hear someone say "well send some people out" and the phone ends.

I'm glad they agreed to help as Lycans don't like to associate themselves with werewolves considering they are of higher power.

I then receive an email stating 5 Lycans will be sent tonight and arrive sometime tomorrow.

I instantly mind link with Heather to inform her and keep her updated as promised.

We are expecting 5 Lycans tomorrow as our reinforcements.

Wow, 5 lycans what did you say to get so many, she asks.

I told them everything and showed them what we knew, I reply

Mind link connection is broken after reply.

Brayden's pov

Heather looks frozen and the kitchen and cleaning staff is now going 100 miles a minute as if we are expecting company.

"Alpha Grey already organised reinforcements" I ask myself

Heather and Alpha Grey talk more, he seems more trusting of her, but then again she was always the smart one with her head screwed on, however I almost accidentally burnt the pack house down, more than once, when I was younger. The first time Alpha Grey did believe it was an accident until in happened many more times and then not so much. Everything had to be hidden from me, candles lighters, matches. Anything I could use in relation to a fire was hidden.

I look at Heather and she's still going over what she had in mind about training. I'm not paying much attention but I'll be in trouble for it later. Benji on the other hand is paying her so much attention. It wouldn't surprise me in all honesty. Basically every unmated wolf chases her blindly and she doesn't even give them a second of her time. I remember this one wolf who basically had hearts for eyes for her and fainted when she looked at him and smiled. That's just who Heather was though, a person who always smiled.

Heather's pov

I can see Brayden day dreaming and try grabbing his attention by clicking and clapping in his face, I'm also saying his name but its not like it's getting through to him. Finally after I clap louder in his face he's broken out of whatever fairy tale land he was in.

"What!?" Brayden yells at me.

"First of all lower your voice, second of all I'm heading home to have a shower and get ready for training" I respond.

"Oh, but training isn't until 1?" he sounds confused with his answer.

"Dude it's 11 now. We were in Alpha Greys office for nearly 3 hours and then we ate and you daydreamed" I chuckle back.

"Oh okay I'm coming with you" Brayden replies.

"Sounds like someone woke up out of dream land and got welcomed back to civilisation" I laugh to myself.

We get back home and I go straight for the shower. After I get dressed into Grey leggings with a matching sports bra and singlet to cover up. I go to run out of the door and realise I don't have my shoes on. so I quickly throw on my black and white sneakers and head outside. as I'm walking to get ready for training I throw my hair up into a damp messy ponytail.

I see everyone but my brother when I suddenly hear him running behind me.

"Sorry I accidentally took a nap in the bath" he says out of breathe and as if he's still trying to wake up.

"It's fine as long as your head now" I laugh in response.

I don't like to be teamed up with anyone but my brother. Tried it, didn't like it.

The reason I didn't like it? Well the reason is right in front of me.

He stares at me while holding his wrist and I reminisce about how I was trying to teach this guy a move and he groped my breast and in return I broke his wrist.

We start our training and it lasts until 5 just like Alpha Grey had requested.

I got 15 warriors on patrol tonight instead of the usual 6. They left training early so they could have dinner early so they could take over.

Everyone else heads to the hall for dinner and everyone is exhausted and can't wait for bed. Even poor Brayden is about to pass out in his plate of food.

We finish our dinner and Brayden goes straight to bed. Only I meet with Alpha Grey for our run. It's only a short run tonight due to the big day everyone had. I head home and shower before going to bed.
