2. RK Charms The Media

Third Person’s POV

After running on the treadmill for half an hour, Brian pleaded RK to stop it as he couldn’t do more in such shoes and was having a great problem. Hearing this, RK finally stopped the treadmill, without warning Brian, thus making Brian fell on the floor.

“Thank you, sir. I will handle this matter with more care now,” while getting up Brian said.

“No. Do what you know best. Call the press conference and I will handle this matter personally now.” RK said in all his calm tone.

Here, RK was planning to ruin Myra and there at the hospital, Myra’s and Bruce’s family were worried after hearing in the news that the culprit was none other than the billionaire RK. He was considered like the god in this city. And to fight against him is equivalent to getting burned.

Both families asked Myra to take back her complaint. They knew if Myra didn’t take her complaint back then RK will ruin their families. They were worried about their jobs and lives.

But Myra was adamant. She told them that she won’t bow down to him. Because of RK Bruce could have even died. She would make RK pay for his mistake. If his ego was big enough that he couldn’t apologize, then she also had that much self-respect that she wouldn’t take the complaint back. He needs to be taught the lesson so next time he wouldn’t dare to do this with someone else, this was how Myra thought.

Same time, Bruce woke-up. The doctor checked up on him and told them that he was healing fast and everything was under control. One by one both family members went in to meet him. Myra was left for last. When she went in and held Bruce’s hand, she broke into tears. Till then she was holding her emotions and was appearing strong for the sake of both families. But when she saw her fiancée and held his hand she finally let her tears stroll down her face.

“Hey, I’m absolutely fine. Please don’t cry Myra,” Bruce pleaded to her.

“I was so scared. I’m sorry. If I wouldn’t have demanded ice-cream, then you didn’t need to cross the road and your accident wouldn’t have happened. It’s all my fault. I’m so sorry,” Myra sobbed.

“Myra, it’s not your fault. Please don’t cry. It’s making me feel bad. Due to my injuries, I’m unable to wipe your tears away,” Bruce pleaded again.

Myra instantly wiped her face and smiled for Bruce. She didn’t want to cause him more worry or stress. She even told everyone not to tell him about the complaint and RK.

She wanted Bruce to heal and get well soon. She decided she could handle the hit and run case and RK’s attitude herself.

But it didn’t happen like that. Bruce being the victim, had to give the statement to the police. So the police officer came again to ask Bruce about the accident. Bruce didn’t seem shocked. In fact, he was proud of Myra for taking a stand for him. He was proud of her for demanding justice for him and the loss he suffered. He told the police officer the same story Myra did except for the car’s number. He couldn’t see it because he was hit by the car and was lying on the ground. So only Myra was the eye witness and only her statement was accountable. No one else had a say in it.

The statement of the victim himself made the case strong against RK. But the police officer remembered his insult and knew that no one would dare to take action against RK. So he went to talk with Bruce’s mother. He told her how she could take advantage of this situation. He told her he would call the press conference for her and she just needed to tell them how badly her son and her family were suffering. And thus by doing this, she would gain the sympathy of people and RK would offer a huge amount to her. Her greedy self was beyond happy after listening to this and she agreed immediately.

Myra and her family left for home after saying goodnight to Bruce and his family.

The next day came with a big announcement for everyone. RK’s press conference was on every news channel. And people were once again left charmed by him. In his press conference, he easily diverted the hit and run case.

When media asked him about it, he simply answered in his husky voice and flirty attitude that, “Till now no one knew about Myra Adams. Now even I know her name. So yeah anyone whose name is attached to mine will get instant fame and recognition.”

Media chuckled at this and then asked him, “Are you trying to say that you weren’t drunk that night and didn’t hit Bruce with your car?”

Listening to this question, RK simply got up from his chair and came in front of the media girl who asked this.

He bent low and raised his shirt, so that his eight pack abs were visible and said, “Does alcoholic’s body looks like this? You can touch and see if it’s a dream or not,” he smirked.

The girl was flustered and media and everyone else was once again in a daze. He successfully charmed everyone and thus his mission was successful.

When Myra saw this on TV, she fumed with anger. She couldn’t believe how easily he made fool of everyone. Without thinking she went to the location of his press conference. There RK had agreed to the exclusive photoshoot with media and thus people were going crazy to get clicked with him.

Without wasting any second she screamed, “Who the hell do you think you are?”

Everyone was stunned and the media started capturing this. Myra was unaffected by this and went straight up to stand in front of RK and said, “This press conference you held today was just for your benefit. I’m sure these reporters won’t write a single word against you but I have full faith in this city’s constitution. I’m sure you be punished by law.”

RK smiled and started clapping for her while circling around where she was standing. He then stopped in front of her and smirked, “Wow. What a fabulous performance. You should be an actress. In fact, we should do a film together where you are the eye witness and I’m the culprit. How about that?”

Myra glared at him and walked away. Everyone was shocked because it was the first time anyone dared to talk like this with RK publicly. People didn’t talk like this with him even personally let alone publicly.

But for some stupid reason, RK was smiling and whispered- Myra.
