3. Myra is shocked

Third person’s POV

Myra straight away went to the hospital to meet Bruce. There she fed him fruits and took care of him. He asked her about her job and she told him that she had taken off for a few days and had even told the boss about his car accident. Myra and Bruce worked together in the small marketing company and from there they had started dating each other.

Meanwhile, Bruce’s mother, Molly got a call from the police officer and he told her to be prepared as the press is about to reach the hospital. She immediately went in and asked Myra to leave as she wanted to talk alone with Bruce. Myra and Bruce both frowned but didn’t question her. She said her goodbyes and left.

After Myra left, Bruce’s mother immediately asked Bruce to do as she says and not to question her. She asked him to behave like he is asleep and no matter what happens, he wouldn’t get up and speak. He agreed although he couldn’t understand why his mother was acting strangely.

Bruce’s mother started crying fake tears and after ten minutes the media came in the room to see his condition and to interview Bruce and his mother.

Bruce’s mother told them they can’t interview him as he slept just now after so much hassle. She told them how much he was suffering through pain and the doctor told her that their son was in critical condition. She also cried and told them that financially they were not strong to pay medical bills and thus don’t know what to do. Bruce needed treatment but from where would they get money for it as his parents are now retired professors and Bruce was the only working man in the house. She kept on crying fake tears and kept blaming the system for not taking action against RK.

This whole interview became the hot topic and people once again started criticizing RK. The system was thus forced to take action against RK.

The same day in the afternoon police came to RK mansion to arrest RK. He didn’t lose his calm and very easily went to the police station.

In the police station, the police officers couldn’t put him behind the bars due to his power and were even excited to meet RK. They even started taking their photos with him as for them it was once in a lifetime moment. He was brought to the station to show people that justice still exists in the city. But the truth was far from it.

His PA, Brian contacted the family lawyer and asked him to get the papers ready. When the lawyer came with papers, they both went to the hospital. There Brian talked with Bruce’s mother, Molly and asked her to take the case back in exchange for money.

He gave her the blank cheque signed by him and asked her to fill any amount she wanted. Holding that blank cheque in her hand, Molly was beyond happy. Her greedy self couldn’t control itself. She started thinking and then hesitated but Brian asked her to relax and fill any amount. She immediately wrote two-million-dollars.

Then Brian asked her to get these bail papers signed by Bruce. She smiled and took the papers and went into the room.

She gave the papers to Bruce and asked him to sign them. He read them and was shocked to see that it was written that the car which hit Bruce and caused his accident didn’t belong to RK.

He looked at his mother and she gave him the cheque and told him that their lives are about to change. He immediately tore the cheque and refused to sign the papers.

This angered Brian and he insulted them and told them that if they wouldn’t take the case back then their lives will be ruined. And they might need to leave the city as well. He left then and Bruce’s mother shouted at Bruce for refusing such an enormous offer. Bruce told her he needs rest and refused to talk further with her.

In the evening when Myra came back to the hospital to meet Bruce, Molly insulted her. She told Myra that because of her Bruce didn’t accept the money that could have changed their lives. This shocked Myra. His mother had never once been like this before. Then what happened now?

But Bruce’s mother didn’t stop and went on. She blamed Myra for influencing Bruce against her. This angered Bruce and he asked his mother to leave.

Bruce even tried to stop Myra but she didn’t listen and ran away from there. When she reached home, she turned on the TV and saw Molly’s interview. She couldn’t believe her eyes and ears. She was stunned watching Molly lie in front of the media and how she gained fake sympathy. She was more hurt knowing that how Molly’s interview got RK arrested. She wanted him to get punished and wanted justice but not like this.

She started crying and her family held her. They told her to calm down and to clear all these misunderstandings tomorrow.

On the other hand, Brian was angry on Bruce. He even offered money to the police officer but he refused saying there was a lot of pressure from the media and people. It was also Friday so due to court’s official off for the next two days, RK had to spend three nights in prison.

This made RK furious that one simple girl, Myra Adams did what no one else could.
