5. RK Apologizes To Myra

Third Person POV

RK was driving his car while Brian was sitting on the passenger side, fearing for his life. Because RK was driving too fast.

“Sir, please drive slowly. There are no brakes in my feet and I’m worried,” Brian pleaded.

RK ignored his pleas.

“Sir, let’s go back right now. If something happens again while you are driving, it will be difficult to handle. You just got out of prison because of one accident. I don’t want you to go into the prison for another,” Brian pleaded again.

“You are understanding that going to Myra’s house…” Brian stopped realizing his mistake.

RK also stopped the car after hearing that.

“Brian,” RK said.

“Sir, sorry. I shouldn’t have taken Myra’s name,” Brian apologizes.

“Brian, check the tires. I feel like one of the tires have low pressure,” RK said.

“Oh, okay sir. I will check it right now,” Brian said while he gets out of the car.

The moment he closed the car door, RK stepped on the accelerator and drove away, leaving Brian on the road.

Brian then shouted for him to stop but RK didn’t listen and went to Myra’s house alone.

He asked Brian half an hour before to provide him all the details about Myra Adams. And thus was on his way to her house.

When RK reached the building, he saw that it belonged to poor locality as she belonged to the middle-class family. The watchman and people nearby got starstruck when they saw RK there. Immediately people gathered him and started taking photos with him. He politely then smiled for them and asked for Myra’s floor number. The watchman himself stopped the elevator for him and went to drop him upstairs.

He got out of the elevator after reaching her floor and gently ring the bell.

Myra’s mother, Pamela opened the door and was shocked seeing RK there.

She immediately shouted for Myra to come. She thought he must have come to insult and give them a warning. She thought she would ask Myra to apologize and get this matter over with.

She asked him to come inside and quickly shut the door on people watching from outside. When Myra came into the hall after washing her face, she was shocked to see RK at her house.

“What are you doing here?” Myra asked RK angrily.

“Are you Myra’s mother?” RK asked Pamela completely ignoring Myra and her question.

“Yes, she is my mother. Tell me, why are you here?” Myra again asked.

“Myra, don’t interrupt in between. Let me talk with him,” Pamela sternly told Myra.

Then she turned towards RK and said, “Yes, I’m Myra’s mother, Pamela Adams. Tell me what brought you here?”

RK put on the guilty mask on his face and said, “I’m here to apologize.”

Pamela and Myra both were shocked hearing this.

RK continued in his guilty tone, “The morals you have taught your daughter, showed me reality. Because my parents never taught me all this. Since childhood, no one said anything to me for my mistakes. When I was grown up enough to work, success blinded me. And the people around me were always praising me even if I did wrong. Because of their greed. Then one day, Myra came, leaving past everyone and showed me truth and honesty. She opened my eyes and I realized how wrong I was. I apologize to you for doing all that. And I’m grateful to you for showing me the correct path.”

Myra and Pamela both were moved after hearing RK’s heartbreaking life story.

“So, did you forgive me?” RK asked Myra.

“Yes, I did,” Myra smiled at him. She was too innocent to understand his games and schemes. She fell for his act just like he thought.

“I should leave now,” RK smiled and went.

On his way back, RK looked into the mirror and made that guilty face again. Then he thought to himself, apology and him? Bullshit.

In fact, he liked it. More correctly, he liked her, Myra Adams.

He went to his home and then went to the gym. There he took out all his anger while thinking about how he had to apologize to Myra even for the sake of an act.

On the other hand, Myra was happy that finally, RK understood his mistake. She was happy that now no more chaos would be created and everything is settled.

Little did she know that RK was acting and in reality was about to take his revenge and make her pay ten times more.
