The party started over an hour ago, and still no ziella. In her defense, she had no clue about tonight but she's never out this late, I couldn't help but to worry. A few girls had tried to get me to dance, some even insisting, trying to rub all over me. Instead I kept my eyes glued to the door , as dread wound it's way through me. Ziella was one of the few people who actually knew me, she better be alright. It's true that I complain about her, she gets on my nerves a lot,but we are what some may say best friends. Not that that means we should be mates, unless you agree with ninety percent of the pack, possibly including ziella. I can't see it though, hopefully it doesn't hurt her too much when she realizes we're not. Either way he did deeply care about her, and hoped she was would find her mate. As of 2 hours ago sh was officially 17 and could find him. Maybe she already had and that's what had held her up
Ziella had been upset with herself all day. Of course he wasn't thinking about her and her silly little problems. He was worried about the pack as he should be, but she really hated being alone on her birthday. Thoughts of her mother would be swirling her head all day and she needed a distraction. The best distraction would be a run through the woods, to just let her wolf take over. ziella hated missing school but nobody would even notice and she just couldn't be there today. She made her way to the back of the school where the girls change rooms were located. Because it was a pack school, the changing rooms were located right by the trails and the doors could just be pushed open from the inside. This allowed the students to shift in privacy. ziella quickly stripped and shifted to her wolf, skyla. Skyla, being from an alpha bloodline, was larger than most wolves with a sleek black coat and piercing blue eyes. The large wolf made her way out of the changing rooms and to the head of the trail. As her wolf began to run ziella allowed skyla to take full control of her conscious as she drifted into the background. When she came back to she wasn't surprised to find herself lying down in the old pack cemetery. Looking up she saw the dirty stone covered in moss, but she knew underneath the years of abandonment the stone would read: here lies Naomi Black, loving wife and mother may the moon goddess bless her travel home.
Ziella began pulling on the moss, and wiping away dirt. She was a little ashamed of how bad she had allowed it to get. The idea of coming here somehow had made her more lonely though, so she had avoided it. Looking at it now, on the day of her death, she felt even more guilty. She lost herself pulling weeds and finding wildflowers to place in front of the stone. As she worked she began to speak to her mom
" I'm sorry, so sorry. You would be here today if it wasn't for me, you and dad would still be madly in love dancing under the the stars. Instead I'm here. The world lost you;the perfect betas wife, the most beautiful and strongest wolf, the light of the pack. How could I ever make amends for the loss of you? The pack seems to think I should be mated to Aleki, they still just see me as your daughter. They would never want me as Luna if they Knew the real me. Truly I don't even know how I feel about the idea, Aleki is like a brother. I could never feel that way about him, but I hate to take anything else from the pack." the longer she sat there the better she felt. She told her mother everything about her life and what she hoped for. She didn't even notice as the sun began to set until the forest around her became dark. She quickly shifted back using her wolf's sight to navigate in the dark woods, as she got towards the edge of the forest she smelled an intoxicating scent, honeysuckle and rain.
