Zeilla kept peeking at him with a question in her eyes, it wasn't like her to not say what she was thinking. Aleki wished she would just spit it out.

" so, I saw them go up to your room, your mom and the human girl...Aleki, what did they want?

" What were you doing near my room ziella? What they were doing there is pack business." he couldn't help but be annoyed at her breach of privacy. The pack house made it hard enough to find a semblance of it, his room should atleast be a safe space. He couldn't wait to find his mate so zeilla would leave him alone.

" I was just looking for you and I saw them walk up. what's the big deal, I've spent countless hours in your room, now it's a crime to walk passed it. You had a human in the pack house .. no, not just the pack house.... your room. obviously I was curious. What ever could possess a future alpha to have a human girl in his room. Wait... she's not.... you haven't...that wasn't your ..mate, was it?"

Aleki about choked. This whole mate thing had made her lose her mind. Obviously that girl was not his mate. What sort of wolf mated with a human? moreso what sort of alpha. A human as luna ,it was completely unheard of. "are you insane ziel?" Aleki hadn't called her that nickname since they were kids but something about this ridiculous conversation prompted its use " my mother was just smothering me, like always. She obviously doesn't think I'm ready. She just tried using the girl to prove it.

" I thought we agreed to never use that name again... anyway. You're calling me crazy, your mom's great. You and I both know she'd do anything for you, she's just looking out for you. Be greatful aleki, not everyone has that." before Aleki could respond she gave a quick wave and picked up her pace.

you're a j*ck*ss, you know that, aleki's wolf snorted at him. Then it hit him, today was her birthday, which meant it was the anniversary of her mom's death... he really was an *ss.

Aleki knew ziella hated being alone on this day, but every time he tried to come near her she would pretend she didn't see him and run off in the other direction, when the lunch bell rang he hurried outside to the tree he knew she'd be eating under. He came up from the back of the tree hoping to catch her by surprise, but when he poked his head around the tree he was shocked to find some freshman doing homework.

That's the problem, you didn't think. You didn't even remember her birthday. Then you complain about your mother, when she never even met hers. what's wrong with you Aleki? I'm a wolf and I have better common sense.

I hate when you're right.. what am I going to do. now she's off all alone, and probably depressed. That's it!! I'll throw her a surprise party, she hates being alone, this way she'll be surrounded by the whole pack.

A whole party in 4 hours, you have lost your mind.

Aleki could sense his wolf rolling his eyes, but he didn't have time to deal with uhis snarky wolf. He had to get home if he was going to get done in time... hopefully the principal didn't call his mom.
