Blurb

We are nothing. We are small and unimportant yet, our choices and our lives are the finishing touches to The Universe. It doesn't make sense here but laying in that spongey grass, everything seemed to make sense.

Sometimes, I walk around bouncing from this world to the next. Dancing in the cosmos, forever leaping in blues, greens, and purples. Two worlds should never meet, that should never cross. I did not heed this order. I danced away from this beautiful star paradise.

Prologue
I don't remember a lot from my 'real' life or, my 'previous' life. I don't know what’s real and what’s not anymore. I sometimes wonder who I am. I often lay down on lush verdant grass and gaze at the stars. I wonder how each of them managed to earn their place in the sky. I'll look to the North Star, it never moves. It doesn't ask for attention, it just is. Acting as a guide to anyone who wishes to follow. I wonder if I'm alone in knowing the sacrifice that star had to make to become bright and so bold. To me, all the stars as far as my eyes can see are beautiful. In this lifetime the stars in the sky are all you have to guide you. My theory. I believe we are born from the stars, the universe breathing life into our limp bodies, rendering each cell until each one is buzzing with life. The moons, and the stars, and each planet in between all its universes all are connected, woven into a meticulous knot, layered by each conscious dimension and beyond. We are nothing. We are small and unimportant yet, our choices and the lives we carry out are the finishing touches to The Universe complete in a three-dimensional reality. Sometimes, I walk around bouncing from this world to the next. Dancing in the cosmos, forever leaping in blues, greens, and purples, chasing the tails of meteorites, sprinkling stardust along a glittered path. I gaze upon the illicit world now and then. I sprinkle a dusting on it too, smiling back behind my shoulders. ****** My eyes could not register to the light in front of me, my ears stung with odd whistling. My skin burned, but the sting was delightful. I saw great shapes before me fading in and out of the light, flashes of green and blue, when I looked to the odd solid beneath me I saw green and brown there it wasn't as bright. I let my eyes register that first. Strange blades of green reaching upwards. I saw yellow circles full of texture there too. I bent down to touch it, it was soft and gentle. It was warm and bright. I heard joyful laughter and trickling’s of water those sounds were familiar to me. I thought of my sister. This was a boys laugh and then I looked up and I saw his face looking back at me. His face is dark, his hair in tight curls sitting on top of his head cut short. It is his smile and eyes I find most extraordinary. His eyes are brown flecked with customary gold flecks, they seem to have absorbed the light and warmth here like the soft yellow ball. His smile was sparkling reflecting the light. He reached out his hand to mine. His fleshy dark fingers linked with my glittering white fingers. I was then thrown back into the light. I expected to see the light, but I saw the familiar dark shapes of my room. I looked at the white sheet clinging to me desperately.
