Chapter 19Trixie's tears
The squad room was buzzing when Ross and Gable walked back in after their visit to the solicitor's office. Izzie Drake held centre-stage as those team members who were present were already in the throes of congratulating her on the news of her pregnancy.
“Sergeant Drake, my office…now!” Ross shouted above the general hubbub. Izzie Drake quickly extricated herself from the back slapping of Tony Curtis, Nick Dodds, Paul Ferris and Kat Bellamy, and followed Ross into his office, closing the door behind her.
Ross wasted no time in taking hold of his sergeant by the shoulders and pulling her close into a hug that conveyed the closeness that the pair had developed over the years of working together.
